Black Myth Wukong All Weapon Locations (Staffs and Spears)

August 30, 2024 by FranciRoosters 10 Comments

Black Myth Wukong contains 20 Weapons (Staffs and Spears). Collecting and crafting all 20 Weapons unlocks the Staffs and Spears trophy & achievement. Most Weapons can be collected and crafted in the first playthrough, but a few are only obtainable in New Game+.

Recommended Use: It’s recommended to play through the story first, this will unlock most weapons automatically for crafting. After the endboss you will be put back in the Title Screen, choose to “Continue Journey” to keep exploring. Compare your list against the list here to find out what you are missing. Clean up everything, then advance to New Game+ for the remaining weapons. Beware that starting New Game+ overwrites your save and then there’s no way back to free-roam in the first playthrough anymore.

Also, you won’t get enough crafting materials to craft all weapons + armor in the first playthrough. New Game+ is mandatory to craft everything completely. But you will need to have finished all bosses in the first playthrough to get enough materials by the end of New Game+, or else you will need a third playthrough in New Game++. In New Game+ you’ll need to redo practically everything, especially all the Secret Area bosses which give unique crafting materials.

Weapons List (alphabetical order)

  1. Adept-Spine Shooting Fuban Staff: can only be crafted in New Game+ and requires 4x “Sky-Piercing Horns”. One can be acquired by defeating Fuban in the Kingdom of Sahali (Chapter 2 Secret Area), one by defeating The Scorpion Lord in Purple Cloud Mountain (Chapter 4 Secret Area) and one by completing Chapter 4. The fourth and final one can only be acquired in New Game+ after defeating Fuban again.
  2. Bishui Beast Staff: can only be crafted as an upgrade to the Rat Sage Staff after defeating Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast in Chapter 5 Secret Area.
  3. Bronze Clad Staff: can be crafted at any Keeper’s Shrine. DLC Item exclusive to Deluxe Edition.
  4. Chitin Staff: can only be crafted after defeating The Second Sister at the start of Chapter 4.
  5. Chu-Bai Spear: can be crafted upon completion of the Prisoner Questline in Chapter 3.
  6. Cloud-Patterned Stone Staff: can only be crafted after defeating Shigandang boss in Chapter 2. Requires 6 Buddha’s Eyeballs found in the Fright Cliff area.
  7. Dark Iron Staff: can only be acquired in New Game+ as an upgrade to the Staff of Blazing Karma. Can only be crafted after defeating Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast in Chapter 5 Secret Area, it drops the materials “The Bull King’s Iron Horn”. Another of these materials is found in a chest in Chapter 5 Secret Area.
  8. Golden Loong Stand: can only be crafted as an upgrade to the Loongwreathe Staff after defeating the Cyan Loong, an optional boss on Turtle Island in Chapter 3. The fight can only be started when you’ve acquired Loong Scales from Chapter 2.
  9. Jingubang: unmissable, story-related unlock. Unlocks in Chapter 6 at the Water Curtain Cave.
  10. Kang-Jin Staff: can only be crafted after defeating Kang-Jin Star on Turtle Island in Chapter 3.
  11. Loongwreathe Staff: can only be crafted as an upgrade to the Twin Serpents Staff after defeating the secret boss The Red Loong in Chapter 1. The fight can only be started when you’ve acquired Loong Scales from Chapter 2.
  12. Rat Sage Staff: can be crafted after defeating the Yellow Wind Sage, Chapter 2’s final boss.
  13. Spider Celestial Staff: can only be crafted as an upgrade to the Chitin Staff after defeating the Violet Spider boss in Chapter 4.
  14. Spikeshaft Staff: can only be crafted after completing Chapter 3.
  15. Staff of Blazing Karma: can only be crafted after collecting 3 Samadhi Fire Crystals. These are all obtained in Chapter 5, one by collecting the Flint Chief spirit, one by collecting the Flint Vanguard spirit and one by collecting the Mother of Flamlings spirit.
  16. Stormflash Loong Staff: can be crafted at any Shrine in New Game+.
  17. Tri-Point Double-Edged Spear: obtained upon completing the Secret Ending.
  18. Twin Serpents Staff: can only be crafted after defeating the Whiteclad Noble in Chapter 1.
  19. Visionary Centipede Staff: can be crafted as an upgrade to the Chitin Staff after completing Chapter 4.
  20. Wind Bear Staff: crafted at any Keeper’s Shrine.

These are all 20 Weapon Locations in Black Myth: Wukong.

The bronze cloud staff isn’t required for the trophy, right?

Yea lol, the crafting materials stay, the rare ones(not sure about common material) so you go to shrine and press compare and it’ll let you craft it again, yea its a stupid system, just let us equip what we want easier.

It’s actually a bit different. The weapons that are listed are not crafted, they are “modified”. For example, you have the Cloud-Patterned Stone Staff, it can be changed to the Staff of Blazing Karma and to the Dark Iron Staff. When you modify it, the staff is replaced with another one.

If staff are “uncrafted” after you crafted another one … How do you know what staff are crafted and which ones are missing for the Trophy? Thanks

When you try to recraft a weapon, the Will cost is much lower, < 2000 Will
