Introduction

Welcome to the SAROS Trophy Guide! SAROS is the latest game from arcade veterans Housemarque and the spiritual successor to Returnal. It is a frenetic and fast-paced roguelite third-person shooter with enhanced mechanics over what was present in Returnal. As the game is a roguelite, you will unlock permanent upgrades as you play, making successive attempts easier.

Trophy-wise, the Platinum is significantly easier than Returnal as there are no luck-dependent collectibles to worry about. There is also an accessibility option in settings that will allow you to enable multiple buffs to trivialize the game, but you will need to play through the first 2 areas before you can access this. Most trophies will be obtained through finishing the story, with only a few miscellaneous trophies to clean up. There are collectibles in the form of Halcyon and Integrity Augments, but you do not need to obtain them all for their respective trophies.

Step 1: Defeat the first 2 Bosses to unlock Carcosan Modifiers / Accessibility Settings

Play through the game until you defeat the first 2 Overlords (bosses) in the first 2 biomes. As the game is a roguelite, don’t be discouraged if you die. While in The Passage (the hub area), you can interact with Primary to access the Armor Matrix, which is a skill tree you can invest in using Lucenite (orange currency, dropped by enemies) and Halcyon (purple currency, found in red containers or side areas) which grant permanent upgrades. These upgrades will make future runs easier, in particular the Second Chance node which will allow you to die once and continue.

Throughout the game you will want to collect 50 Halcyons, 20 Integrity Augments, get 25 kills with every weapon, plus all weapon types will have a miscellaneous trophy tied to them.

After you defeat the second Overlord, interacting with Primary will now let you use Modifiers. These are protections (buffs) and trials (debuffs) you can apply to your run to change the experience and make it easier or harder. Armor Enhancement I/II/III is by far the best modifier as it reduces damage taken, so it is recommended you use this with whatever trial you think is best to balance it. Make sure to always have at least one active going forward, as you will need to successfully complete 33 runs with Carcosan Modifiers activated for trophy Carcosan Cartographer.

If you want to make the rest of the journey to Platinum significantly easier, you can go into Settings > Gameplay > turn on “Unlimited Protection Modifiers”. This will allow you to enable protection modifiers without having to balance them out with trial modifiers. Even with this you cannot turn on all protection modifiers as you are limited to 6, so of the ones you initially have unlocked, the best are:

  1. Damage Enhancement III
  2. Armor Enhancement III
  3. Corruption Reduction III
  4. Corruption Cleanse Enhancement II
  5. Artifact Immunity
  6. Artifact Enhancement

With these enabled, you will clear out enemies very quickly and take very little damage. This is only recommended if you’re struggling with the game or want to get through it quickly, as doing this will trivialize the gameplay.

Step 2: Defeat the remaining Overlords and finish the Story

Continue progressing through the 8 biomes until you defeat the 8th Overlord. From this point forward you can also complete Nightmare Gates in each biome, which will need to be done for trophy Nightmare Strands, plus will give Halcyons and Integrity Augments. Keep working towards various miscellaneous trophies and using all weapons that you find. Once you reach Yellow Shore, you will be able to get Halcyon as drops from enemies, of which you will need to get 20 for trophy Never Enough, but this can be done across multiple cycles.

Step 3: Epilogue and Clean-Up

After the credits, you will be back in the Passage with a new objective “Face Tomorrow”. Follow it until you have to go back to the final boss, but this time after defeating it, go through the gate instead of interacting with the boss to complete the Epilogue. You’ll also want to clean up any trophies you’ve missed, which will likely require multiple runs of biomes to finish up.

SAROS Trophy Guide

The Sun Is Forever
Mastered Carcosa and obtained every SAROS trophy.
Platinum
Earn all other trophies in SAROS to unlock Platinum (no DLC required).
Prophet
Defeat the Overlord of the Shattered Rise.
Silver
Prophet is the Overlord of the first biome, Shattered Rise. This boss will have three health bars, and can only be hurt by attacking its weakspot when it is exposed. To expose its weakspot, you must first destroy all the yellow buds that appear around it on either side. While destroying them, make sure to dodge and jump over all the projectiles it launches at you, don’t worry too much about charging your Power Weapon. Once the buds are destroyed, the weakspot will open in the middle of the boss, a larger yellow bud. For the first health bar, the boss will do the same rotation here: launch a barrage of blue projectiles that you can absorb with your shield, then 3 waves of corrupted projectiles. Absorb the blue projectiles so that you can use your Power Weapon on him, then dodge the triple attack while spamming your Main Weapon, repeating the cycle. Once the health bar is halfway depleted, the weakspot will hide again and more buds will appear, so repeat the process until the health bar is fully depleted.

After the first health bar is depleted, the boss will go through the same phases, except with more attacks. During the yellow bud phase, more buds will appear around the wall, and the boss will spawn large bulbs in the arena that shoot out projectiles, which you can destroy to potentially get aether (health) drops. With all buds destroyed, the weakspot will once again be exposed, with the boss doing occasional barrages of blue projectiles for you to absorb. This time there will be more waves of corrupted projectiles for you to dodge, with different attack patterns, but the tactic of dodging and shooting while waiting for blue projectiles will get you through it.

Once you reach the third and final health bar, it will continue in the same phase with the weakspot exposed, doing the same attacks, except now the arena is blocked off on either side, leaving you only a narrow tunnel to dodge around in. Fortunately it’s not too difficult to avoid the attacks even in this smaller arena, so just keep repeating what you did for the previous health bar until it is defeated.

If you are struggling to beat Prophet, make sure to get as many upgrades as you can from the Armor Matrix. Second Chance in particular is especially helpful, as it will allow you to die once and continue.

Bastion
Defeat the Overlord of the Ancient Depths.
Bronze
Bastion is the Overlord of the second biome, Ancient Depths. It will have three health bars, but unlike the first overlord you do not need to expose a weakspot to attack it. Immediately you can start attacking it. For the first health bar, the boss will shoot barrages of blue and corrupted yellow projectiles simultaneously, so you will want to position yourself so that you can use your shield to absorb the blue projectiles without getting hit by the corrupted projectiles. Use your Power Weapon whenever you get a charge, as you will constantly be able to charge it up throughout the fight.

After the first health bar is depleted, the boss will retreat temporarily and multiple stationary bots will appear around the arena. You will need to kill all of them, at which point the boss will return. This cycle will repeat for the second and third health bars, with barrages of attacks and enemies to fight between health bars. The main difference in the second and third health bars is that the boss will now occasionally use Nova attacks. These are red projectiles that cannot be dodged through, so you will need to position yourself in a way where you can avoid these entirely. Generally these attacks are done alongside blue or yellow projectiles so you can simply position yourself near those attacks, but sometimes it will do a full wall of red Nova projectiles that cover the entire arena, which is where you will want to utilize the many jump pads in the arena to reach the higher platforms to avoid these attacks.

Rhabdom
Defeat the Overlord of the Shattered Descent.
Bronze
Rhabdom is the Overlord of the third biome, Shattered Descent. He is the easiest boss in the game because he only has one health bar. He will spam many barrage attacks that fill the area with yellow corrupted projectiles, but there are jump pads on either side to get to platforms to avoid most attacks. As you will also have Overdrive at this point, make sure to use it when your Overdrive bar is fully charged. There isn’t really much strategy involved here, just dodge and shoot and he’ll go down pretty quickly.
Legion
Defeat the Overlord of the Blighted Marsh.
Bronze
Legion is the Overlord of the fourth biome, Blighted Marsh. Like the first two Overlords, it will have three health bars. This boss is a flying horde of enemies, but the only part that will actually hurt the boss is the central, bright red enemy. They will use a lot of red Nova projectile attacks, but with your newly acquired ability to parry, you can deflect these back at the boss. Most of the attacks are barrages from a distance that are easily dodged, but there are two attacks worth noting. One will have the entire horde except the central enemy form a circle around you, launching Nova projectiles at you. You will want to rotate and parry these attacks to clear them all out, usually requiring 2-3 parries to clear them all out. The other noteworthy attack is where the horde launch blue homing projectiles at you while the central enemy will shoot a corrupted beam at you. Run and dodge away from the beam, shielding to absorb the blue projectiles.

Whilst the boss has three health bars, there is no discernible difference between phases except for new attacks, so just continue focusing all your fire on the central enemy, making sure to use your Power Weapon and Overdrive whenever they are available.

Architect
Defeat the Overlord of the Desecrated Fortress.
Silver
Architect is the Overlord of the fifth biome, Desecrated Fortress. This boss will have three health bars. Architect is a massive flying monster that will alternate between hovering in front of you doing attacks, flying circles around the arena and doing strafe runs over you. It has a variety of attacks using blue, yellow and red projectiles, but for the most part it is best to just try and dodge these rather than trying to absorb blue or parry red projectiles. Depending on the weapon you are using, it can be difficult to hit the boss when it’s moving, so it is recommended to either use autohit weapons like Handcannons or Rifles, or wait until the boss stops moving if using Crossbows. Shotguns aren’t recommended as this boss is mostly fought from a distance.

The boss can be hurt at all times and has no weakspot that specifically needs to be targeted. As the health bars are depleted, the boss will destroy part of the arena, making your platform smaller. Occasionally, the boss will land on the platform with you and launch you backwards, so you will want to be ready to grapple back to the platform if this happens.

Shepherd
Defeat the Overlord of Acolyte’s Haven.
Silver
Shepherd is the Overlord of the sixth biome, Acolyte’s Haven. This boss will have three health bars. Before you can hurt the boss, you will first have to take out several tentacles slamming down on the boat. After this, the head of the boss will pop up and be attackable. Shepherd will do many frontal and side attacks, mostly in wave patterns. It will use blue, yellow and red attacks. Try to absorb the first two and reflect the third, which should allow you to very regularly use your Power Weapon.

As you decrease its health bars, the boss will move around to different sides of the arena and add new attacks, but really the boss will not change too drastically throughout the fight. At this point of the game with the upgrades you should have in your Armor Matrix, there shouldn’t really be any issues with fighting here.

Priestess
Defeat the Overlord of the Cathedral.
Silver
Priestess is the Overlord of the seventh biome, Cathedral. This boss will have three health bars. At the start, there will be three smaller priestesses, you must defeat two of them before the main Priestess boss will appear and be damagable. The boss uses massive waves of blue and yellow projectiles allowing you to quickly and easily fill up your power for your Power Weapons. Halfway through the first health bar, the three priestesses will return, so once again kill two to continue fighting the boss.

After removing the first health bar, the arena will change and three priestesses will return, but this time they’re larger. Rather than killing two of them, you will notice around the arena are three red chimes that you can ring. Destroy all three of these to immediately bring the boss back. The attacks get bigger but the same applies, absorb what you can and dodge or parry the red projectiles.

At the third health bar, the arena will change again, into multiple platforms that periodically fall away. You will want to jump between platforms when this happens. You can attack the boss immediately on this phase, but it will occasionally be unattackable and require you to destroy two of the red chimes before you can continue attacking.

King
Defeat the Overlord of the Yellow Shore.
Silver
King is the Overlord of the eighth biome, Yellow Shore. This boss will have three health bars. Despite being the final boss, this boss is one of the easier bosses due to all your upgrades at this stage, plus the fact it spams attacks with a high volume of projectiles for you to absorb so that you can constantly use your Power Weapon. For the first health bar, it will exclusively use blue projectile attacks that can all be absorbed. Periodically throughout this phase, it will put up a yellow shield, which you can destroy by meleeing it.

After the first health bar, King will start using exclusively red Nova projectiles, so you will want to avoid or parry these. Once again he’ll occasionally get a shield you can destroy with melee. The third and final health bar he will primarily use yellow corrupted projectiles which you can absorb.

Let Go
Complete all Epilogue requirements and defeat the King.
Gold
After defeating the King and watching the credits, you’ll be returned to the Passage with a new objective. This will require you to go back to certain rooms in a few biomes. After doing all objectives, you will be tasked to go back to the Yellow Shore and defeat the King again. This time however, once you reach the end of his third health bar and he collapses on the ground, do not go up to him to finish the kill. Instead go through the gate while he’s on the ground to get the true ending and this trophy.
Never Let Go
Complete Act 1.
Bronze
Act 1 is completed after defeating the 5th Overlord and returning to the Passage.
Into Yellow
Complete Act 2.
Bronze
Act 2 is completed after defeating the 7th Overlord and returning to the Passage.
The Blazing Throne
Complete Act 3.
Bronze
Act 3 is completed after defeating the 8th Overlord and watching the credits.
Strange Is The Night
Enter the Banyan Tree for the first time.
Bronze
See trophy Shattered Glass.
Shattered Glass
Complete every encounter inside the Banyan Tree.
Silver
The Banyan Tree is found in The Passage, the hub area, upstairs where you can speak to Sebastian. After defeating the second overlord and returning to The Passage, the Banyan Tree will have a yellow portal that you can interact with to enter it. This will initiate a small sequence where you will need to walk around interacting with objects. After completing this and returning to The Passage, you will be able to re-enter the Banyan Tree periodically throughout the story. Complete all four encounters inside the tree.

  1. After defeating the second overlord, Bastion.
  2. After defeating the fourth overlord, Legion.
  3. After defeating the sixth overlord, Shepherd.
  4. After going to the Cathedral as part of the Epilogue quest.
Nightmare Strands
Enter and complete all 7 Nightmare Gates at least once.
Gold
The first seven biomes will have a Nightmare Gate that spawns on every cycle, but to access some of them you will first need the Grapple obtained at the beginning of Biome 3: Shattered Descent. They will appear on the map as an exclamation mark ! in a skull, and labelled as Nightmare Strand. These are high risk areas with multiple rooms of enemies that you have to defeat. They will have certain Carcosan Modifiers in effect, such as increased enemy damage. Successfully completing a Nightmare Strand will restore your Second Chance if you lost it, as well as rewards like Integrity Augments, Power Augments and Halcyon.
Full Arsenal
Unlock all Main and Power Weapons, and defeat 25 hostiles with each.
Silver
There are a total of 15 Main Weapons and 4 Power Weapons, totalling 475 kills. The trophy has tracking on the trophy list, but there is no way in-game to track your kills with each weapon individually. Because of this whenever you find a new weapon, it is recommended that you keep it until you get 25 kills. Otherwise, use all variants of weapons regularly and check the trophy progress to see if it goes up for your current weapon, if it doesn’t then you don’t need to use that one anymore. You can check all weapons by going to Tutorials > Main Weapons / Power Weapons.
Bullet Paradise
Dispatch 1995 regular hostiles.
Silver
This will come naturally as you play on your way to Platinum.
Carcosan Cartographer
Use the Carcosan Modifiers to embark upon and survive 33 expeditions.
Bronze
To make progress towards this, you must have at least one Carcosan Modifier enabled at Primary. Every biome you complete with a Carcosan Modifier enabled will count towards the trophy. Therefore you will need to fully complete 33 biomes. If you finish everything else and still need this, the fastest biome is Biome 3: Shattered Descent. Rush through ignoring all enemies, defeat the Overlord and take the teleporter out afterwards, rinse and repeat. It can be rushed in 4 minutes and the boss has only 1 healthbar.
Soltari R&D
Unlock and utilize all Traits and Variants of a Weapon.
Silver
There are 3 variants of each weapon class (for example, there are 3 Handcannons: Eruptor, Ricochet and Marksman), and each weapon can have 12 different traits. These are the additional effects listed on a weapon like Bombardier or Shot Load. To progress this trophy, you simply need to pick up a weapon with a trait/variant that you haven’t picked up before and shoot with it. You don’t need to kill any enemies, but you must actually shoot the weapon with new traits for them to count towards the trophy. Because of this it is recommended to always pick up and shoot any weapons that you find, even if you don’t intend to keep it, just so that it counts towards the trophy. As long as you always pick up and shoot weapons, you should get this naturally over the course of the game.
Break The Cycle
Absorb 2021 projectiles using the Shield.
Silver
You can use your shield with :r1: to absorb blue projectiles, which will charge your Power Weapon. This will happen naturally as it is a core aspect of the game.
Reinforced Carapace
Collect 20 Integrity Augments.
Silver
Integrity Augments are green/yellow pickups that permanently increase your Integrity across all cycles. They have set spawns, appearing in guaranteed rooms in each biome. As you will always go through these rooms when going through a biome, they are basically on the main path and you don’t have to rely on luck. They will also appear as rewards from completing Nightmare Gates. There are more than 20 Integrity Augments, so this should come naturally as long as you pick them up.
Eclipse’s Gift
Collect 70 Halcyon.
Silver
Halcyon are purple resources that you can collect and use to upgrade your abilities in the Armor Matrix. These are limited, with only a certain number appearing in each biome (for instance the first biome, Shattered Rise, has 8 Halcyon). There are a lot more than 70. They do not have specific spawn locations, as they can appear in any of the red chests that you open. When opening these red chests, you can only take one of the two potential rewards, so whenever Halycon is offered, make sure to choose it. They can also spawn in some side areas as well as at the end of Nightmare Gates. In the Yellow Shore only, Halcyon will drop from killing enemies.

  1. Shattered Rise: 8
  2. Ancient Depths: 12
  3. Shattered Descent: 12
  4. Blighted Marsh: 20
  5. Desecrated Fortress: 25
  6. Acolyte’s Haven: 35
  7. Cathedral: 50
Carcosan Conqueror
Encounter and defeat 10 Alpha hostiles.
Bronze
Alpha Hostiles are stronger variants of regular enemies that start appearing from Biome 3: Shattered Descent onwards. They will appear on the map with a special symbol that looks like a crown (smaller version of the Overlord boss symbol). As long as you kill them whenever you encounter them, you should get this on the way to trophy Carcosan Cartographer.
Catch And Release
Use the Shield to absorb 3 Power bars, then defeat a hostile with a Power Weapon.
Silver
You first must get 90+ Power to have 3 full Power bars. With 3 bars, find an enemy that shoots a lot of blue projectiles, then charge up all 3 bars by using your shield with :r1: . Once fully charged, use your Power Weapon to kill an enemy for the trophy.
Untouchable
Complete a Biome without taking direct, non-Corruption damage or losing Adrenaline.
Silver
This trophy is best saved for last when you have as many upgrades in the Armor Matrix as you can get. If you want, you can utilize Unlimited Protection Modifiers to make it easier. The best biome to do this on is Biome 3: Shattered Descent, as it doesn’t require any sidetracking to progress through the biome, and more importantly, has the easiest Overlord to defeat due to Rhabdom only having one health bar. It is recommended that you use the Damage Enhancement III modifier to make killing Rhabdom faster. It may also be worth killing some enemies along the way to the boss room to charge up your Overdrive, so that you’re able to immediately use it on Rhabdom to make the fight easier.

If you’re struggling to get this, you can get to the room before the boss fight, then close the game and upload your save file to the Cloud if you have PS+. This will allow you to redownload your save if you take damage against the Overlord, without having to run through the biome again.

Second Chance
Use Second Chance for the first time.
Bronze
To use Second Chance, you must first unlock it in the Armor Matrix for 2 Halcyon. Once unlocked, whenever you die in a cycle you will be revived, giving you a second chance.
Approach Vector
Dispatch a shielded hostile with a mid-air Melee attack.
Bronze
Shielded enemies will have a red shield surrounding them. These can be destroyed by meleeing them with :r1: . Jump towards one and melee while in the air to get this.
OverDriven
Dispatch 30 hostiles using OverDrive during a single cycle.
Bronze
Before you can do this, you will need to obtain the Overdrive ability from Biome 3: Shattered Descent. This is an ultimate ability that will power up as you damage enemies, then can be activated with :l3: + :r3: . There are several nodes in the Armor Matrix that will decrease the damage required to charge Overdrive, which will assist with this. Even with these nodes however, you will likely need to play through multiple biomes in one cycle to kill 30 enemies with it. The attack does heavy damage and has a small area-of-effect, so it is recommended to always use it on densely packed enemies to maximize kills.
Countermand
Stagger 2 hostiles simultaneously with one Parry.
Bronze
Parry is unlocked in Biome 4: Blighted Marsh. With it, you can parry Nova (red) projectiles by tapping :r1: at the right time, which will reflect them back at the attacker. Parry an attack back towards a group of enemies and you should get this easily.
Enforcer
Damage 7 hostiles within 5 seconds with Handcannons.
Bronze
Handcannons are available from the beginning of the game. This is best done against Vessels as they spawn in packs, or any arena fight where a heap of enemies are spawning at once.
Relentless
Land 50 consecutive shots on hostiles with Rifles.
Bronze
Rifles are available from Biome 1: Shattered Rise onwards. Rifles have autohit, meaning bullets will target nearby enemies. Because of this, you don’t need to be particularly accurate, as long as you’re not shooting after enemies are already dead. This should come naturally whenever you fight a stronger enemy with a Rifle.
Spread The Cost
Land 7 consecutive Shotgun blasts with 100% pellet accuracy.
Bronze
Shotguns are available from Biome 2: Ancient Depths onwards. Shotguns will blast in a wide spread, so to get 100% accuracy you will need to get up close. This is best done on a large and strong enemies such as the Osteomaw. Get as close as you physically can, then shoot repeatedly making sure all the pellets hit.
Vicious Circle
Use Chakrams to damage 4 hostiles within 2 seconds.
Bronze
Chakrams are available from Biome 6: Acolyte’s Haven onwards. This is best done with a Chakram that has the Split on Hit trait, as this will cause discs to split into multiple upon hitting an enemy, allowing you to hit more enemies simultaneously. Using a Chakram with this trait, you should get this naturally within any area with a lot of enemies spawned in.
All Shall Bow
Hit 3 hostiles at once with Crossbows.
Bronze
Crossbows are available from Biome 4: Blighted Marsh onwards. This is easy to get with the Repeater Crossbow’s alt fire, as it will penetrate enemies. In any room with a bunch of enemy spawns, use the alt fire when enemies are grouped up and this should happen naturally.
Broadside
Defeat 5 hostiles with a single Prominence blast.
Bronze
Prominence is the first Power Weapon you obtain in Biome 1: Shattered Rise. When shot, it will release a powerful blast with a large area-of-effect. The best way to get this is to shoot into a pack of Vessels, the floating enemies with a heap of tentacles.
Atrophy
Damage 5 hostiles simultaneously with Dispiritor projectiles.
Bronze
Dispiritor is the second Power Weapon you obtain in Biome 2: Ancient Depths. It fires rapidly like a machine gun, when you let go of the trigger the vortexes will appear where you shot to constantly damage any enemies. Find any room with many enemies, then spray the Dispiritor at all the enemies before letting it trigger the vortexes to damage them all simultaneously.
Angle Of Attack
Defeat a hostile using a ricochet Nova Lance slug.
Bronze
Nova Lance is the third Power Weapon you obtain in Biome 5: Desecrated Fortress. It fires powerful lances that will pierce enemies and ricochet off walls. This is very easy to get as soon as you get it, simply aim it at a wall next to an enemy to have it ricochet into them.
Radiance
Damage 3 hostiles simultaneously using the Illumine.
Bronze
Illumine is the fourth Power Weapon you obtain in Biome 7: Cathedral. This is a beam weapon that will fire a continuous beam. The best way to get this trophy is with the trait Chaining Arc, as this will make it so when the beam hits an enemy, it can arc onto nearby enemies. Use this on any pack of enemies close together and you should get it easily.
Fatal Triptych
Die 3 times during a single cycle.
Silver
The best way to do this is to complete multiple Nightmare Gates in one cycle. Completing a Nightmare Gate will restore your Second Chance revive, so make sure to die and use your Second Chance before completing a Nightmare Gate. If you want to speed this up, you can also activate the Second Chance Overlord modifier, which will restore your Second Chance upon defeating an Overlord.
War Within
Reach maximum Corruption level and survive.
Silver
The Corruption this trophy refers to is the removed segments of your Integrity (health) that you receive when hit by yellow corrupted projectiles. You need to have the majority of your integrity bar to become corrupted, to the point where you start taking regular damage from corrupted projectiles. With your health in this state, you need to complete the biome by defeating the Overlord and reaching the beginning of the next biome. Make sure not to use your Power Weapon, as this will remove corruption. This is best done with Corruption Enhancement III to increase the rate at which you gain corruption, and Damage Enhancement III/Armor Enhancement III to make surviving the biome easier.
Never Enough
Collect 20 Halcyon in the Yellow Shore.
Bronze
Yellow Shore is the final biome in the game, and unlike the previous seven biomes, Halcyon here will occasionally drop from enemies. They can also still be obtained from side areas and red containers. Play through the Yellow Shore a few times killing all enemies and searching all side areas/red containers in order to get 20 Halcyon.
Fall From Grace
Use the environment to eliminate a hostile without shooting it.
Bronze
Before you can do this trophy, you will need to unlock the Parry ability in Biome 4: Blighted Marsh. Once you have it unlocked, you will need to parry a red Nova projectile at an enemy to stagger them while they are over a gap. There are several nodes in the Armor Matrix that increase stagger from parries, which will help when going for this to ensure you stagger enemies.

Find an area with platforms you can jump between, as well as either enemies that fire red projectiles, or traps that fire them. Stand on a platform with a gap in front of you, then bait enemies into attacking you with red projectiles so that you can parry them. Make sure not to shoot the enemies at all as they cannot be damaged by your weapons. Not all enemies will fall when staggered as some airborne enemies will stay in the air while staggered.

Vincible
Complete a Biome without using the Shield.
Bronze
While playing through a whole biome, never hold :r1: so you don’t use the shield. At the beginning this might be a bit difficult, but once you start upgrading the Armor Matrix you’ll be able to do this without any issues. This is best done on Biome 3: Shattered Descent, as it is the shortest biome and the boss has only 1 healthbar.
Come Back Stronger
Die for the first time.
Bronze
This will be your first trophy as you will die at the beginning of the game to progress.

Wow, I’m terrible at these sort of games so presumed this would be off the table for me. I saw 4/10 even without modifiers, though, so if you play the game “legit” is it still that much easier than Returnal?

Even using the modifiers normally can really increase your survivability, plus there’s an entire skill tree you can level up as you play that will make you stronger and stronger every run.
