“Ghost Racer” / Drift Away, Legend is a side mission in NTE (Neverness to Everness). The quest is initially called “Ghost Racer” on the map, but once started the name changes to “Drift Away, Legend” in the quest log.

- Quest Description: A Novus ST79 is parked outside Natsunari Tofu. Apparently, passersby call it the “Midnight Ghost Racer of Hethereau”

- Wait for nightfall (01:00-04:00 AM) (The Midnight Ghost Racer)
- Go to the starting point (Departure)
- Check Mint’s message (The Path to Ascension)
- Talk to the shopkeeper, Sota (Pre-Race Briefing)
- Celebrate with Sota (Legend Begins)
Starting Location: “Ghost Racer” / Drift Away, Legend
Talk to the fan (“Ghost Racer”)
Head to the west side of Caltrop Lake in Miguel District.
Talk to Sota who works in the tofu shop. You’ll be in the right place when you see a car parked in the alley nearby.
Choose the dialogue option, “This place is pretty popular.”
After the conversation, step outside and approach Larry just outside the building to the left.
Check out the shopkeeper’s beloved car (Legend of the God Racer)
Approach the driver’s side of car to change the objective.
Examine the shopkeeper’s beloved car closely (Legend of the God Racer)
Interact with the driver’s side door.
Enter Natsunari Tofu (Don’t Judge a Tofu Shop by its Cover)
Approach the entrance to the shop to progress.
Talk to the shopkeeper, Sota (The Shopkeeper’s Troubles)
Interact with Sota.
Listen to Sota explain the situation (Speedy Takeout)
Go back to the car in the car in the alley and interact with Sota.
Get in the driver’s seat (Departure)
Interact with the driver’s seat.
Go to Food First (Rush Delivery)
Drive the car to Food First on Ironheart 9th Avenue, following the arrowed path on the road.
It’s worth mentioning that there will be a race later on in this quest. So, use this time to acclimate yourself to the car’s handling and speed.
When you arrive, park in the blue space highlighted in the alley.
Talk to staff member Xanthium (Mission Accomplished)
Talk to Xanthium, who stands right next to the car.
Get in the driver’s seat (Help Through to the End)
Interact with the car door.
Park the vehicle at designated location (Precision Driving)
Drive the car to the parking space just ahead of you. You will need to back up and avoid all of the obstacles in the alley.
Talk to staff member Xanthium (Delivery)
Interact with Xanthium again.
Get in the driver’s seat (Return Trip)
Hop in the car again.
Return to Natsunari Tofu (Return)
Drive back to the tofu shop where the quest began.
When you get back, park the car back in the alley.
Follow Sato back into the shop
Sato leads you back inside.
Taste the fried tofu (A Tasty Reward)
Interact with the plate of tofu on the table.
You receive the first round of rewards for this quest here.

Join the conversation (Unexpected Guest)
Leave the building to prompt the scene.
Wait for the shop owner’s return from the race (Back in Action)
Just stand here for ten seconds or so and a scene starts.
Talk to the shopkeeper, Sota (Unexpected Challenge)
Go to the alley and speak to Sota.
Get in the driver’s seat (Prepare for Battle)
Get in the car once again.
Go to the starting point (Starting Point)
Drive up the street to the north.
Park in the glowing blue parking spot in the parking lot to your left.
Talk to Bai Yang (Declaration)
Interact with Bai Yang who stands by the car next to you.
To progress the quest, select the dialogue option “Let’s go.”
Select the track and select the car to start the race.
This race is a bit taxing in the first half simply due to how many sharp turns there are. Thankfully, the handling of the car is very user-friendly and responsive. When a turn comes up, you only need to tap the brake in order to make the turn. There are a couple of hairpin turns where you need to hard brake, so be on the lookout for those.
The second half of the race has a lot of straight stretches. Use this to pick up any ground and pass Bai Yang.
Say goodbye to Bai Yang (Graceful Defeat)
Go southwest back to Natsunari Tofu and approach Bai Yang and Sota on the sidewalk opposite the tofu shop.
Taste the tofu (Extra Reward)
Cross the street and enter the shop.
Interact with the tofu on the table to your right.
You receive the second round of rewards here.

This objective completes automatically, since you’re already inside the tofu store.

The tofu shop objective clears automatically.
Interact with the trunk of the car in the alley.
Knock on the shopkeeper’s door (Tightly Shut Door)
Turn around and interact with the door at the end of this alley to your left.
Talk to the shopkeeper, Sota (What Happened?)
Speak to Sota.
A message automatically opens from Mint. Close the menu when you finish the text conversation.
Tell the shopkeeper about the message (The God Racer’s Proposal)
Speak with Sota again.
You receive the third round of reward here.

Go to the convenience store to buy champagne (Racer’s Ritual)
Make your way to the northeast corner of Caltrop Lake.
Enter the 2-Four Mart you find there.
Interact with Garnet at the counter and purchase “Reims Sparkling Wine.”
Return to Natusnari Tofu (All Set)
Head back to the tofu shop.
Partway there, you automatically receive another message from Mint.
Talk to the shopkeeper, Sota (Rehearsal for Celebration)
The objective changes when you pull up to the store.
Head inside and talk to Sota.
Select the dialogue option “I’m back” to progress the quest.
Wait for nightfall (01:00-04:00 AM) (The Midnight Ghost Racer)
While tracking this quest, press to automatically change the time.
Go to the starting point (Departure)
Go back to the parking lot to the north where the first race began.
Check Mint’s message (The Path to Ascension)
While tracking this quest, press to automatically open the message.
Talk to the shopkeeper, Sota (Pre-Race Briefing)
Interact with Sota.
Selection the Midnight Ghost race and select the Novus ST79 to begin the race.
This is the exact same race track as the first race you did in this quest. With that said, the ghost racer has some weird interactions if you hit it. Sometimes, you bounce right off of it while other times it bounces right off of you. Try to avoid hitting the car at all or hit the car straight on to knock it out of your way. Either way, the ghost racer isn’t as fast as the first car you challenged, since this car is a ghost version of your current car.
Celebrate with Sota (Legend Begins)
Head back to the tofu shop.
If you park a vehicle right next to Sota, the conversation begins automatically after getting out of your vehicle.
