Control Resonant All Secret Hideout Locations

Control Resonant contains 6 Secret Hideout Locations. Visiting all Secret Hideouts unlocks the Backroom Espionage trophy & achievement.

The hideouts are all found inside shops accessed from the street level. Inside specific shops there are walls with a black marking on them. You will find a note in the shop that gives a hint, then you must solve the puzzle by interacting with certain objects in the shop, in the correct order. Then the wall opens and you can enter the secret hideout. Each of these also contains a Health Upgrade crate, so you get 6 Health Upgrade pieces from them.

They get marked on the map with question mark icons as secrets (“?”) when you get close to them. You can do them in any order. There’s 1 per Zone, except Underpass which doesn’t have one. Nothing is missable, you can still do everything after the story in free-roam.

Secret Hideout #1 – Downtown

From the street enter the “Atlantis Restaurant”, the one with a green entrance.

Now interact with the objects in the restaurant in correct order to open the wall:

1. Wall box in back right corner, it will have an L1/LB prompt
   
2. Radio (left side from where you entered)
   
3. Dark Coffee Maker (on counter)
   
4. White Coffee Maker (on metal shelf behind counter)
   
5. Soda machine (next to coffee maker)
   
6. Microwave (next to coffee maker)
   
7. Fridge (behind counter in corner)
   

Then the door opens, go inside and open the health upgrade box.

Secret Hideout #2 – Central

From the street enter the “Wear’Em & Wash’Em” laundromat. If the door is blocked by a red barrier, look in the air to see red lines, then follow those lines to find destructible objects connected to the door. Once they are destroyed the door opens.

Inside the laundromat read the notes on the wall, then you must turn on/off the correct washing machines.

There are 6 Columns of washing machines, we’ll label them 1 through 6 with 1 being the leftmost and 6 being the rightmost.

1. Column 1 (Left Side) = turn ON the 1 interactable machine
2. Column 2 = turn ON the 2 interactable machines
3. Column 3 = turn ON the 2 interactable machines
4. Column 4 = turn OFF all machines (one is on when you enter and must be turned off)
5. Column 5 = turn OFF all machines (they are off by default)
6. Column 6 = turn ON the machine closest to the door, keep the other 2 machines turned off

Then the door opens and you can collect the health upgrade inside.

Secret Hideout #3 – West Incursion Zone

From the street enter the “Urban Fresh” mart. Enter code 1213 on the cash register to open the wall.

Secret Hideout #4 – Evacuation Zone

From the street enter the art gallery. You must interact with the L1/LB prompts on the 4 pillars around the room to turn on the correct lights.

1. Front left pillar = middle light
   
2. Back left pillar = left light
   
3. Back right pillar = left light
   
4. Front right pillar = middle light
   

Then the door in the left corner opens.

Secret Hideout #5 – The Park

From the street enter the “Atlantis” restaurant. Enter code BDAC on the cash register.

Secret Hideout #6 – The Unknown

From the street enter the “Pulse Fitness” (shop with purple sign above door). Note that this area has two opposite gravity versions (an upside down version). If you’re at the location marker and instead find an art gallery you’re on the wrong end of the gravity and must flip the gravity by 180° to reach the street with the Pulse Fitness shop.

Go inside and interact with the machines in the following order: Treadmill 0.5 MPH > Bike 15 MPH > Vending Machine > Treadmill 15 MPH > Bike 0.5 MPH.
