Control Resonant has 7 Taxi Locations. Finding all Taxis is needed to finish The Last Taxi side quest. It’s also a requirement toward the Threshold Researcher trophy & achievement. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Last Taxi side mission.

- Quest Description: I can hear homing from a taxi. Maybe somebody’s in trouble?

- Get the Caller Back to Manhattan
Starting Location: The Last Taxi
This quest is started when you inspect any of the 7 taxis, they get marked on the map when going near them. They can be done in any order and there’s 1 per region.
Help the Taxi Driver
For all taxi objectives, you need to find the taxi and then interact with it to be taken to a different area. Complete the puzzle to be released from the area.
Taxi #1 – Downtown
The taxi in Downtown is north of the deserted road checkpoint on the main road. Inspect it with L1/LB, then inspect the right passenger door and choose to get into the taxi.
It will take you to a new area, answer the phone there. To exit this threshold, you need to take the cab that has the TAXI light on the roof turned on.
In the second cycle, interact with the taxi that doesn’t have the light on top go out when you get near.
In the third cycle, find and interact with the taxi that currently has the top light lit up. The light will go on and off, so be quick to spot the correct taxi with the lit-up sign.
Taxi #2 – Central
The taxi in Central is north of the deserted road checkpoint on the main road.
For the taxi puzzle, interact with the taxi that has light on its roof lit up. On the second cycle, interact with the taxi that has the headlight, taillight, and top light lit up.
Then repeat these two steps, interact with the taxi that only has the top light lit up, then the taxi that has headlight / taillight / top light lit up to exit the Threshold.
Taxi #3 – Evacuation Zone
The taxi in Evacuation Zone is directly in the center of the area west of Evac Building, in the alley between the three streets where there is a group of lasers.
Go answer the phone in the alley, then in the first cycle interact with the taxi that has the lights flashing opposite all of the other taxis.
On the second cycle, look for the taxi that flashes its lights twice in a row when going through the sequence with the other cars. All other cars only flash once.
On the third cycle, get in the taxi that does not flash its lights along with the other taxis.
Taxi #4 – West Excursion Zone
The taxi in West Excursion Zone is southwest of the Empire Avenue fast travel door, in the “upside down” part of the area stuck to a wall.
Go answer the phone in the alley, then in the first cycle interact with the taxi that is under the streetlight that is flashing.
In the second cycle, interact with the taxi that is under the streetlight that is not flashing.
In the third cycle, interact with the taxi that the streetlight is flashing opposite all of the others.
Taxi #5 – The Park
The taxi in The Park is southwest of the Mold Factory fast travel point, near the region vendor inside the parking garage.
Go answer the phone in the alley, then in the first cycle you need to destroy the Mold to find the trunk and hood, then place them on the taxi.
In the second cycle, pick up the hood and two wheels and place them back on the taxi. You need to grab the yellow hood farther down the road, not the blue one near the tires.
In the third cycle, you need to destroy the Mold to reveal the car, then place the correct parts onto it. The fender, hood, and top light are behind/left of the car, whereas the trunk and rear bumper are off to the right.
Taxi #6 – Underpass
The taxi in Underpass is to the very southeast of the area, where you reach during the story after riding the cable car. It is in the northeast corner of the large room that is full of Mold.
Go answer the phone in the alley, then in the first cycle you need to enter the taxi that doesn’t have its lights turn off with the rest of the lights.
In the second cycle, you need to enter the taxi whose headlights and taillights turn off when the lights flicker.
In the third cycle, enter the taxi that doesn’t have any lights turned on when the streetlights are turned on.
Taxi #7 – Unknown
The taxi in Unknown is on the Evac Building island, to the north of the building.
Go answer the phone in the alley, then in the first cycle you need to pick up the light and shine it at the cars to see their shadow on the wall. Enter the one that has the correct shadow instead of one for a different vehicle. Note that this seems to be random, so the correct vehicle may not be the same as shown in the below screenshots. Look for the correct shadow.
In the second cycle, repeat the same thing and enter the one that has the correct shadow.
In the third cycle, repeat once more and enter the taxi that has the correct shadow.
Get the Caller Back to Manhattan
After you have completed all 7 taxis, you will be back in the street one more time. Go into the alley and answer the phone one final time to complete the side mission.
This finishes The Last Taxi side quest in Control Resonant.
