Break the Siege is the 3rd main mission in Arknights Endfield. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Break the Siege main quest.
- Starting Location: Valley IV > The Hub
- Quest Giver: Automatically given by Perlica
- Chapter: Chapter 1 – Process 1
- Requirement: Finished Main Mission 2 – Process: Awakening
- Reward: 3 Origeometry, 300 T-Creds, 14 Elementary Combat Records, 11 Arms Inspector, 600 Operational XP
- Quest Description: Dijiang lost contact with the Hub Base, where strong Aggeloid signals were also detected. Perlica and the Endmin decide to set out early for the Hub Base to investigate.
Defeat the Aggeloi
Immediately after Process: Awakening you arrive on Talos-II and gain control of your character, you are attacked by some enemies. Perlica joins your team and will automatically attack enemies.
You get a tutorial here that teaches you to use your second team member’s skill with L1 + Triangle (PS5) / Number 2 (PC). You can also switch characters by pressing L1 + Dpad Arrows (PS5) / Q (PC).
Go to the Hub Base / Defeat the Aggeloi
Go straight ahead to the next waypoint, there you have another fight and are taught about Stagger. The Final Strike of your combos deals Stagger damage, when it builds up the enemy is stunned and you deal more damage. It’s indicated by the white bar below the enemy’s health.
Find a way to enter the base / Enter the Hub Base / Use the terminal
Use the orange rope on the side of the building to reach the roof.
Interact with the terminals on the roof to proceed forward.
Defeat the Aggeloi
Another enemy appears. Here you are taught about Combo Skills. When you land the Final Strike of your combo, the icon of your teammates will pop up onscreen. Pressing the displayed button will result in a follow-up attack by that teammate for more damage. Do this once to trigger Perlica’s combo skill.
Enter the Hub Base / Jump Down
Keep following the path to the end of the roof. You get another cutscene when you jump down.
Defeat the Aggeloi
You encounter a much bigger enemy this time. A tutorial will prompt you to lock on to the enemy with R3 (PS5) / Mouse Wheel (PC). Use what you learned to defeat the enemy.
Go to the Old Factory
You will meet some friendly Endfielders, but they are in trouble. After the dialogue, walk through the city and keep following the objective markers. Take out the enemy group along the way, then you’ll drop into a greenhouse where you talk to Miguel. He tells you to take some of the plants with you.
Gather Buckflowers
Pick up the Buckflowers, they will have a golden glowing icon.
This unlocks the Crafting menu. A tutorial will guide you through it automatically. You access the crafting menu from your backpack. Craft 1 Buckflower into 2 Buckflower Powder – this is what you use to heal yourself. Remember this, you’ll always want to carry some with you.
Go to the Old Factory and take out the Ankhor / Defeat the Aggeloi
Proceed forward and take out the next 2 groups of enemies.
Go to the underground lab / Defeat the landbreakers
Head downstairs and you’ll meet a new type of enemy: humanoid “landbreakers” who wield swords. Beat them up.
Use the terminal / Enter the lab
Flip the switch where the landbreakers were standing and go through the door.
Attack and destroy the Ankhor core
The Ankhor is the red glowing orb at the end of the room. Attack it with your standard melee attacks.
This will spawn a miniboss.
Defeat the Landbreaker Chief
Bonekrusher Executioner uses Charged Skills. These are indicated by a red circle while he charges up an attack. Interrupt it by attacking with a skill attack while he has a red circle around him. Many enemies use Charged Skills -> try to counter these with a skill of your own to stop the attack and deal stagger.
Other than that just dodge and keep attacking with Final Strikes, Skills, and Combo Skills.
Return to the surface / Meet Director Qin at the Base entrance
After defeating the boss, you need to head back upstairs and follow the waypoints. After talking with Director Qin, Chen Qianyu will join your team!
You reach Authority Level 2 and earn 3 Origeometry, 300 T-Creds, 14 Elementary Combat Records, 11 Arms Inspector, 600 XP.
This finishes Break the Siege main quest in Arknights Endfield.
