Beast of Reincarnation contains 40 Shrines. Interacting with all Shrines is required for the trophy/achievement Soul Returned. Shrines are structures that give 3x Life Fruit, along with increasing the number of Stimpacks you can carry when you collect specific totals of them.
Nothing is missable, you can still find everything after the story in free-roam before entering New Game+.
Shrines are marked on the map with a “SHRINE” icon when you are near them. They stay marked on the map after collecting them and the icon will show a checkmark, which makes it easy to know what you’ve found. This icon and tracking stays present in New Game+ and you cannot interact with a Shrine again if you collected it in your first playthrough.

Ancient Civilization Zone
Shrine #1
From the start of the area, walk forward to the platforms with the first group of enemies on the right. Continue following the path upward to the top of the area to find the shrine immediately on your path.
Shrine #2
Southeast of Raging River campsite, through the shutter into the large Reservoir area, on the east wall of the room.
Shrine #3
East of Ruins Slope Approach campsite, jump up to the south of where the golem and malefact are fighting in the middle of the area. Continue up the platforms along the south wall to the dead end where the Shrine is located past a group of enemies.
The Great Wall Terraces
Shrine #4
From the start of the area, continue through the bulkhead and stay to the right in the lower area where the shrine is at the dead end by the large metal wall.
Shrine #5
West of Mountain Village Entrance campsite, past the village area at the west edge of the map.
Shrine #6
North of Mountain Overlook campsite on the upper level.
Shrine #7
Northwest of Great Forest Entrance campsite, in front of the large statue with the large group of golem enemies.
Shrine #8
Directly west of Flower Square: Forefront campsite.
Shrine #9
Northwest of Ruined Road Square campsite, grapple up the platforms to the one where this is located.
Shrine #10
Southeast of Hidden Stone Hall campsite, on a rock in the middle of the river.
Shrine #11
Northwest of Ruined Temple Entrance campsite, in the building on the upper floor.
Pilgrim’s Zone
Shrine #12
Northeast of Scorched Grassland campsite, grapple up to the bridge and follow the grapple path on the east side to reach this shrine.
Shrine #13
North of Cave Entrance campsite, along the main path in the cave then in a side area in the northeast corner before blowing up a wall.
Shrine #14
North of Cave Entrance campsite, along the main path in the cave after the previous Shrine, in a side area you need to crouch through a hole to reach.
Shrine #15
South of Trail Area campsite, along the east edge of the path (you were blocked from walking near this before going through the cave).
Shrine #16
Northwest of Stone Chamber Entrance campsite, enter the interior area and grapple up to the top floor. Go west around the circular structure to find the shrine in a dead end.
Shrine #17
South of Belfry Interior campsite, follow the platform around and up the stairs where there is a console you can interact with to open a door to the south. Just outside on a cliff you can find the Shrine.
Shrine #18
East of Nushi’s Lair Entrance campsite, ride the elevator beside the campsite up to the platform near the Wandering Merchant Golem, then grapple across the broken bridge to the east side of the area where this shrine is located in the cliff caves.
Matsukawa Zone
Shrine #19
West of Cave Entrance campsite, follow the cave back outside, and the Shrine is below the wooden structure where the Golem are fighting a couple of Malefacts.
Shrine #20
Southwest of Cave Entrance campsite, after exiting the west side of the cave grapple up so the buildings to the south of the area to find the Shrine.
Shrine #21
Southwest of Cave Entrance campsite, after exiting the west side of the cave on ground level inside a ruined building.
Shrine #22
South of Upper Matsukawa Colony (Front) campsite, grapple to the first central platform where the shrine is against the central pillar.
Shrine #23
South of Tranquil Hall campsite in the room behind where the Elite Malefact was.
Shrine #24
Northwest of Tranquil Hall campsite, grapple up to the platform above where the shrine is located.
Shrine #25
Southeast of Hall of Silence campsite, enter the room and interact with the door on the lower floor to trigger three waves of enemies. Defeat the waves to open the door, then enter to find the shrine.
Shrine #26
Northwest of Matsukawa Colony (Top Level) campsite, around the other side of the central pillar.
Shrine #27
Northeast of Mausoleum campsite, in the room at the top of the stairs.
Fuji Frontier Zone
Shrine #28
From the start of the area, southwest of the Cleanser Walker.
Shrine #29
From the start of the area, following the path west across the pipes to the next ground area where the shrine is near the destroyed houses.
Shrine #30
Northeast of The Branching Nushi campsite, follow the cave to where a Golem is shooting from a small wooden platform in front of you, and two Golem on ballistas shoot at you from the far cliffs. Jump onto the small wooden platform, then up the cliffs to the right where you can find the shrine.
Shrine #31
East of Defense Outpost Outskirts campsite, follow the path to a dead end where the shrine is located behind an Elite Malefact.
Shrine #32
Southeast of Defense Outpost Wall, go back outside to the cliffs and drop down the platforms to the bottom level where you can find this shrine.
Giant Tree Zone
Shrine #33
North of Ruined Tower Area campsite, on the lowest level of the building. Follow the path down after entering from the south side.
Shrine #34
South of Giant Tree Feeding Grounds campsite, slightly past the Wandering Merchant.
Shrine #35
Northeast of Cableway – Line 2: Peak A campsite, look off the side of the platform to see one farther east below you. Extend a brand R2 to jump to it and the shrine is in the middle.
Shrine #36
Southwest of Giant Tree Roots (Middle Level) campsite, on the same platform.
Crater Zone
Shrine #37
Southeast of Lake Base: Outer Wall campsite, grapple to the tower that is raised out of the water, then grapple to the first outer platform on the east side of the area. The Shrine is inside this room.
Starfall Tower
Shrine #38
North of In front of the Lab campsite, in the next hallway halfway down on the left side.
The Capital
Shrine #39
From the start of the area, go east and the shrine is on the north side of the waterway.
Shrine #40
North of Urban Area: Ingress campsite, follow the corridor and turn right when you exit back outside to find the shrine in the corner.
