Control Resonant has 8 Dog Locations. Finding all Dogs and bringing them their toys counts as side quest Every Dog Has Her Day and unlocks the Dog’s Best Friend trophy & achievement.
Each Zone has one dog location which gets marked when going near it. In each Zone, the dog wants you to find her plush toy. The toy always looks the same, a small blue dragon that is always in the immediate vicinity of the dog. Once you’ve found the toy bring it back to the dog and interact with her. After doing this in all 7 Zones, interact with the dog in The Gap to unlock the trophy and finish the side quest.
Dog #1 – Downtown
In the south-west corner of Downtown on a roof. The toy is on the next roof left of the dog.
Dog #2 – Central
On a rooftop in the east of Central. The toy is at the end of the alley below the dog, in the direction the dog is facing.
Dog #3 – West Incursion Zone
In the north-west corner of West Incursion Zone, on a roof that you must climb using the Shift Ability (unlocks from Jesse Sightings: The Incursion Fault). The toy is on the next roof where the dog is looking at.
Dog #4 – Evacuation Zone
In the north of Evacuation Zone, on a rooftop. When standing next to the dog, you will find the toy on the roof directly above the dog (upside down roof), must use Shift Ability to latch on to that roof. Then use Shift Ability again to jump back to the dog.
Dog #5 – The Park
In the north-east corner of The Park. The toy is behind the dog on a roof with a yellow lift platform. To reach it, you must go to the Power Core Station and carry electricity to the lift, then the lift takes you up to the toy. The Power Core Station will be marked on the map slightly west of the dog, but you can’t run straight to the dog as the time is too short. You have to put the electricity in one of the boxes on the roof along the way, then carry it from the roof there to the lift. The roof with power boxes is directly in the middle between the Power Core Station and the dog, must go through the doors on the roof to find the power cubes. Refer to the video above for the pathing.
Dog #6 – Underpass
The dog is on a platform between the “Halfway Trail” fast travel door and “Research Site” area. It’s a bit tricky to reach as you must use Gravity Shift ability a lot to get there, refer to the video for the pathing. You’ll also need the Reach ability to use Grappling Points from Jesse Sightings: The Subway Fault. The Toy is found directly above the dog on the opposite gravity floor. When standing at the dog, look at the pillars around the area and find the one with orange pipes next to it and a white radiator. Jump from the radiator up to the ceiling and use Shift ability to reach the toy. Then jump up toward the dog and release the toy (press 
to drop it), the opposite gravity will make it fly up toward the dog. Then use Reach ability on the ledge on the side of the area to get back to the dog and pick up the toy you dropped there.
Dog #7 – Unknown
The dog is on the north-west island of The Unknown zone. You must do Side Quest: Pope’s Research to travel to this area. This toy is much further away from the dog than any of the other ones. It’s on the skyscraper the dog is looking at it, near the top. To get there you must use Gravity Shift ability on the building next to it, walk up and jump over to the skyscraper, near the top.
Dog #8 – The Gap
After completing all 7 Dog interactions, hold 
to visit The Gap and interact with the dog there once more to unlock Dog’s Best Friend trophy / achievement. You also unlock the Untapped Trusted Spanner artifact.
