Days Gone Mayday! Mayday! Walkthrough

Mayday! Mayday! is a Main Story Mission in Days Gone. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the “Mayday! Mayday!” Main Quest.

Mayday! Mayday! Starting Location

This mission will become available after making it to the summit of Mount Thielsen, shortly after parting with Iron Mike. This mission starts in a new Southern Region of the game, Lake Crater.

Investigate the Gun Fire

After admiring the horizon, Deacon will hear some gunfire, seemingly nearby. Simply mount your bike and ride to the mission marker to investigate the commotion. As soon as you get there, you’ll see a Rager (an infected bear) trying to make dinner out of two undefended men.

Deacon, knowing that it is the right thing to do, decides to intervene and save the two men from being mauled.

Kill the Rager

As soon as the Rager spots you, pull out your gun and start shooting at it. As it tramples towards you, roll away and then shoot at it again. Rinse and repeat until it’s dead.

After killing him, you’ll be able to talk to two new characters, Russell and Mullins, two soldiers from the Deschutes County Militia. Impressed by Deacon’s heroics, Russell and Mullins invite him to a new camp, Diamond Lake.

This concludes Mayday! Mayday! mission in Days Gone and transitions seamlessly into “Not From Around Here” after the cutscene with Russell and Mullins.
