Searching for Something is a Main Story Mission in Days Gone. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the “Searching for Something” Main Quest.
Storyline: I Remember, Finding Nero
Objectives:
- Drive to Location
- Chase the Nero Helo
- Get Nero Radio
Searching For Something Starting Location
This mission unlocks after the end of What Did You Do? in Belknap.
Drive to Location
Right after the previous mission “What Did You Do?”, Deacon will warn Boozer that another chopper is flying above him. Deacon decides to investigate. Head to the mission marker to start the mission.
Chase the Nero Helo
Start riding after the chopper and shortly after you will be chased by some infested wolves called Runners. Take them down as you ride using

After a brief cinematic, Deacon will be back on his bike ready to go after the chopper one more time. When you get close to the chopper’s location, a new cinematic will play during which a Nero squad will be assaulted by a horde of Swarmers. The squad manages to leave the area before it’s too late.
Get Nero Radio
The Nero squad has left something behind for Deacon to investigate. Wait before the majority of the Freakers have left and then use stealth to make your way to the nearby marker. Get in some stealth kills if you can. As you approach the mysterious object lying on the ground, a Newt will snatch it from you and it’ll be your job to run after him. After getting rid of him and gaining possession of the Nero radio, return to your bike.
This concludes Searching for Something mission in Days Gone and unlocks the mission “What’s a Nice Girl”.
