The Hero’s Journey is a Side Quest in Dead Island 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the The Hero’s Journey side mission.
Starting Location: The Pier
Counts Towards Side Quest Completion in Region: The Pier
Requirement: Having Finished Side Quest: Coast Guardian
Reward: 3000XP, 1x Superior Machete
Mission Info: While you were out finding Burt’s lucky torp, zombies attacked him and Rita. Burt’s quick thinking saved Rita’s life, but at the cost of fatal injuries to himself. You stayed by Burt’s side as he passed on with a smile on his face, content to be dying a true hero’s death.
Objectives:
- Follow the cries for help.
- Check on Burt
- Clear an escape route for Burt and Rita
- Rescue Burt’s lucky torp from behind the public toilets
- Deliver Burt’s lucky torp to him at the Lifeguard HQ
- Where’s Burt? Ask Rita
- Race to Burt’s rescue! Again!
- Wipe out the zombies surrounding the lifeguard hut!
- Check on Burt
Starting Location: The Hero’s Journey
Just go under the pier and the quest will activate automatically.
Follow the cries for help
Climb up to Burt and Rita.
Check on Burt
Now talk to Burt.
Clear an escape route for Burt and Rita
Defeat all zombies in the area.
Rescue Burt’s lucky torp from behind the public toilets
Follow the quest marker to the toilets.
Once inside the area and after some enemies you will come across the toilets on the left side. Destroy the boxes and pass them.
Now pick up Burt’s lucky torp.
Deliver Burt’s lucky torp to him at the Lifeguard HQ
Follow the quest marker to the HQ near you.
Where’s Burt? Ask Rita
Just talk to Rita here.
Race to Burt’s rescue! Again!
Burt is in his lifeguard hut. Just follow the marker.
Wipe out the zombies surrounding the lifeguard hut!
Kill all zombies around the hut.
Check on Burt
Once you killed all zombies, talk to Burt inside the hut.
This finishes The Hero’s Journey Side Quest in Dead Island 2.
