Ordeals of a New Recruit is a side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Ordeals of a New Recruit side mission.
- Starting Location: Borderwatch Outpost
- Quest Giver: Phill
- Requirement: Started In Dragon’s Wake main quest
- Reward: 400 XP, 100 G, 1 x Lantern Oil
- Quest Description: To a monster, new recruits are simply easy pickings. As such, sending an untrained soldier into the heart of a harpy flock was probably not the wisest choice.
Objectives:
- Aid Accardo
- Report back to Phill
Starting Location: Borderwatch Outpost
Aid Accardo
This quest is started at the Borderwatch Outpost at the start of the game when Phill automatically approaches you as you attempt to leave. Agree to help, then follow the road to the south leading to the objective to find Accardo.
He doesn’t take damage, so you just need to worry about defeating the harpies attacking him. If you aren’t playing as a ranged vocation you’ll need to wait for them to approach ground level to attack or allow Pawns with ranged weapons to knock them down.
Report back to Phill
Once the harpies are defeated, head back to the outpost and speak to Phill to complete the request.
This finishes the Ordeals of a New Recruit side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
