Elden Ring has 3 different endings you can unlock. This guide explains how to get all Elden Ring Endings. Seeing every ending will reward you different trophies and achievements, so if you want to platinum the game you will have to get all of them.
The fastest way to achieve the platinum trophy or 1000 Gamerscore is in 1 playthrough using save game backups before the ending, then restoring the save to do the other endings. Here’s how:
- During your playthrough do all the steps required for Ending 2 “Age of the Stars”. This is the only complicated ending that requires some preparation. You can still do all steps for it after defeating the endboss “Elden Beast”.
- At the end of the game, at the Forge of the Giants site of grace, talk to Melina and she will set the tree on fire. In the area you are teleported to you can find the final optional boss Dragonlord Placidusax. Follow the story path and after defeating the Final Boss “Elden Beast” sit at the Site of Grace “Fractured Marika”. At this point back up your savefile, do one ending, restore the save for next ending:
PS4/PS5 Save Backup: Console Settings > Saved Data Management > Saved Data > Console Storage > Upload your save to PS+ Cloud [PS5/PS4] or USB flash drive [PS4 only]. If using PS+ cloud (only option on PS5) make sure you have automatic save sync uploads disabled or else it could automatically overwrite your cloud save (PS5 Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data PS5 > Sync Saved Data > Auto-Sync Saved Data = Disabled). To copy it back after doing one ending: Console Settings > Saved Data Management > Saved Data > Cloud Storage / USB Drive > Copy to Console > Overwrite console saves.
PC Save Backup: For Steam it should be C:\ Users\ [username]\ AppData\ Roaming\ EldenRing – but also back up the other Steam folder to be safe – C:\ Program Files (x86)\ Steam\ userdata. Copy and paste these into another folder where you can find it later. To restore the save, paste it back and overwrite.
Xbox One/Xbox Series Save Backup: Disconnect yourself from the internet > move around in-game whilst disconnected from internet for a few seconds > reconnect yourself back to the internet > now it will force a cloud save > (double-check that it really uploaded to the cloud) > do one ending without exiting the game (exiting the game may overwrite cloud save) > when done, press Home-Button > scroll down to Elden Ring > press Options > Manage Game > Saved Data > click Gamertag > Delete Saved Data > Delete from Console > if it still shows the save, delete it again until it’s gone > press Home-Button and restart the game > it will now sync/download your backup save from cloud which should put you back before the ending.
Note: If you are missing any sites of grace referenced in this guide or don’t know where a location is, refer to Elden Ring All Sites of Grace.
Ending 1 – Elden Lord
*Missable, doing one ending locks you out of the other endings for that playthrough. As a workaround you must manually back up your save before triggering any ending, then copy it back to do the next ending. Completing the steps for “Lord of Frenzied Flames Ending” would also lock you out of this ending*
The regular ending of the game. Unless you did the final step for Lord of the Frenzied Flame ending, you will unlock it by interacting with the stone statue after defeating the endboss “Elden Beast”. If you do the steps for Lord of Frenzied Flame ending, it will lock you of the Elden Lord Ending (they cancel out each other)! Therefore it’s important you backed up your save beforehand to get both in one playthrough.
Ending 2 – Age of the Stars
*Missable, doing one ending locks you out of the other endings for that playthrough. As a workaround you must manually back up your save before triggering any ending, then copy it back to do the next ending. Killing the questgiver NPC Renna/Ranni (Witch) would also make you miss this ending*
You can still do all steps for this ending after defeating the endboss “Elden Beast”, as long as you haven’t killed the NPC “Renna” (witch) at any point in the game. You must do all steps BEFORE interacting with the stone statue that initiates the ending after the Elden Beast endboss.
Step 1: Unlock the Spectral Steed (rideable mount) by sitting at the Gatefront site of grace and accepting it from the woman that talks to you. Then fast travel to Church of Elleh and talk to Renna (witch) sitting on the wall, choose “I can call the Spectral Steed” and talk to her again until she disappears.
Step 2: After defeating Shardbearer Radahn (main story boss, unmissable), get through Caria Manor in the north of Liurnia and talk to Renna atop the Ranni’s Rise Tower. Afterward talk to her two ghost minions downstairs (Iji & Seluvis). Then talk to Renna again.
Step 3: Go to Nokron, Eternal City. It’s only open after defeating Shardbearer Radahn main boss. You can then access it through the hole in the ground 50 meters north-west from Fort Haight West site of grace in Weeping Peninsula (there will be floating rocks in the air above the hole). After defeating the boss “Mimic Tear”, cross the bridge and head left to find the site of grace “Ancestral Woods”. From there jump over to the rooftops and jump from one roof to the next until you reach the bottom area with some buildings, called Night’s Sacred Ground. At the end of the path in a chest you find the item “Fingerslayer Blade” which you must bring back to Renna.
Step 4: Return to Renna in her tower, talk to her twice in a row and she’ll give you “Carian Inverted Statue”. This immediately opens up the tower north of where Renna is, about 100 meters away (Three Sisters area behind Caria Manor). In that tower you must use the teleporter (note: sometimes the tower can bug out and stays sealed, in that case use the Carian Inverted Statue in the Carian Study Hall in east Limgrave and come back).
Step 5: Use the teleporter to be brought to a new area called “Nokstella, Eternal City”. From where you arrive, there’s a glowing item straight ahead of you on a stone coffin just a few steps away, pick it up, it’s the “Miniature Ranni” doll.
Step 6: From where you picked up the doll, sit at the site of grace to the immediate right. Click on “Talk to miniature Ranni” a few times to exhaust all dialogues until she says the same thing over and over again.
Step 7: From the site of grace follow the path further into the area. Kill the NPC Invader “Baleful Shadow” in Nokstella, Eternal City. He’s quite far into the area, see the video for the path. He drops the “Discarded Palace Key”, needed to open the chest in Step 9 later.
Step 8: Continue further into Nokstella, Eternal City and go through the Lake of Rot. Use healing flasks to not die, the Lake of Rot will constantly damage you. On the other end, enter the building and drop down to the bottom floor where the enemies are. Then interact with the coffin on the left corner in the red river of rot. This triggers a cutscene and brings you to the boss “Astel, Naturalborn of the Void”. Defeat it.
Step 9: Activate the site of grace in the room where you defeated Astel. Fast travel back to where you fought Rennala in Raya Lucaria Grand Library. Open the chest behind Rennala to get “Dark Moon Ring”.
Step 10: Now fast travel back to the Astel boss room. The path forward will now be open, follow the path to the end and give the ring to Renna inside the cave. Talk to her until she disappears.
Step 11: Finish the main story. After defeating the endboss “Elden Beast”, use the blue summon sign on the ground in front of the stone statue to summon Renna. This will trigger the “Age of the Stars” Ending.
Ending 3 – Lord of Frenzied Flame
*Missable, doing one ending locks you out of the other endings for that playthrough. As a workaround you must manually back up your save before triggering any ending, then copy it back to do the next ending*
The only step towards this ending is going through the sewers in Leyndell, the Royal Capital. To do this, head to the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace in the Capital. Depending on whether you are early in the game (Royal Capital not destroyed) or reached the end (Royal Capital destroyed) the entrance to the sewers will vary.
Sewers Entrance during Story: From Avenue Balcony site of grace head downstairs, through the door and turn immediately left and jump the fence there. Approximately below the foot of the big dragon statue you will find a well, jump down the well to enter the sewers.
Sewers Entrance at end of Story (after Royal Capital is destroyed): From the site of grace Leyndell, Capital of Ash the sewer entrance will be on the ground straight ahead, drop down there.
See the video for both points of entry. Then reach the end of the sewers to find a boss called Mohg, the Omen. Defeat him. Behind Mohg is an Altar with a hidden path that requires some platforming to reach the very bottom of the area.
At the very bottom you will find a red door. Grab the Site of Grace and leave the door for now. Do NOT interact with the door yet! Interacting with the door would lock you into this ending, meaning you wouldn’t be able to trigger the other 2 endings in this playthrough anymore.
After the final boss “Elden Beast” is defeated back up your save game, head back to the door and approach it naked without wearing any equipment. It will give you a burning mark but will lock you out of the other endings, so it is very important to NOT do the final step of touching the door before killing the last boss “Elden Beast” and having backed up your save file.

The Elden Lord ending has variations that unlock with the 3 Mending Runes that you receive from Dung Eater, Brother Corhyn/Goldmask and Fia’s questlines.
You can avoid being locked out when enabling the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending by following and completing Millicent’s questline, then using the needle given at the very end of it at the appropriate place.
Thus, you can have 1 run with all possible endings unlocked.
I dont want to do another playthrough to rush for one ending

Hi so I’m doing all quest and good thing I read this comment. I’m about to do milicents quest line. So I’ll use the needle before I interact with the stone statue to get a normal ending?
Is there a way to mess up the Age of Stars questline? I spoke to Ranni at the Church of Elleh and made it to Ranni’s Rise but she wasn’t at the top of the tower. I did a bunch of other stuff in the game before going to the Three Sisters so I’m not sure if i voided the questline somehow. Has anyonle else had this issue?
In that situation you have to kill Radahn for her to appear.
Same thing happened to me. Kill Radahn and she should be back at the top of Ranni’s Rise.
I had the same issue, but after clearing sins in church with giant turtle, Ranni returned
I did the same thing. Literally opened up every area I could on the map, then went to talk to Rannis at her tower and no dice. If that happens, you have to start the Radahn Festival and then beat his ass.
When you’re finished with him, Ranni will be back at the top of her tower and you can officially start her quest.
Like everyone already said. You have to beat Radahn. Killing him is also part of her quest line.
ALL ENDINGS ONE SAVE
On PC, after the last boss fight, quit the game and disable cloud saves.
Download your last cloud save for Elden Ring from Steam’s website.
After an ending close the game and open windows explorer.
Type %AppData% into the address bar and hit enter.
Go to Elden Ring and then to the folder inside.
Copy your downloaded save and paste it.
Rename it to “ER0000.sl2”
Delete the original SL2 file including the BAK file.
In regards to the (double check it uploaded to the cloud) on xbox series x… How do i double check it cloud saved?
I managed to do that but you need two xbox consoles. Upload the save on the first one, wait for a while, maybe restart the console and leave it for a while in dashboard. Then:
1. Start second xbox, download the game
2. Login to your profile, start the game, it should sync.
3. Check if you’re in correct grace point, should be “Fractured Marika”.
4. Do a FULL shutdown of the second console so it won’t overwrite the cloud save or anything like that.
5. Start making endings on your first xbox, delete the save from console only while game is running and start it again. Game will redownload the save from cloud and you already checked it’s correct one so you’re safe.
Do I need to keep the remembrances of the bosses for any endings or anything else or can I use them to level up?
you don’t need them. use them however u want it doesn’t effect anything.
btw, remembrances can only be exchanged for stuff at the finger lady in the roundtable, so u cant use them for runes to level up or anything else.
extra tip, if u want both items of a certain remembrance, but u only have 1 to exchange, u can exchange it at the finger lady and go kill a “walking mausoleum” and enter it, that will allow you to make another copy of the remembrance of your choice, so u can exchange it for the second item you wanted. I hope that makes sense.
sorry, correction: yes you can use the remembrances for runes, u are right. i guess if u need none of the weapons you should just go for the ones that give the most (50k souls i guess?).
The remembrances don’t have anything to do with the endings, you can use them for runes or for their items without affecting the story.
It actually IS possible to achieve all endings with a save that has met the Frenzied Flame already, you just need to use Miquella’s Needle which will suppress it.
Man you should use the remembrances to trade for unique weapons…
There is a lot wrong with the Age of Stars walkthrough. The Carian Inverted Statue opens the Divine Tower of Liurnia, which you then need to fully complete in order to open Renna’s Rise.
That is 100% definitely not needed, I never went there, never did that and got the ending just fine.
The steps listed here are all that you need, nothing else.

I’m trying to get all three endings but confused on how to get Lord of Frenzied Flame ending. Your guide says AFTER Elden Beast go thru the red door but in the video guide they say go thru red door BEFORE the Elden Beast then touch the statue after beating him. Please, which is the proper way to get this ending.
After Elden Beast back up your save, go through door, trigger ending, restore save, do other endings.
Side note: It doesn’t say “before” in the video. It’s correct in both the video and text. You do it after reaching the end (after Elden Beast).
You can technically do it any time but obviously if you do it beforehand without having a backup save you’d lock yourself out of the other 2 endings for that playthrough, that’s why it’s recommended to wait with it until after the endboss where you pick the ending, so you can get all 3 endngs quickly via backup/restore method.
There are actually more endings, but these 3 are the only ones that have Trophies.

If you don’t have PS+ on PS5 – Would this be the method & would this work?
1. Save after defeating Elden Lord
2. Make PS5 Backup
3. Do Ending
4. Restore from backup (Made in Step 2)

6. Restore again from backup (Made in Step 2)
If you are playing the native PS5 version, you need PS+. Because PS5 game saves cannot be backed up to USB. If you’re playing the PS4 version on PS5 however, you don’t need PS+ as you can back it up to USB.
magnetic, your wrong, op is right. You don’t need PS Plus to do a local backup, when you do it you just make sure only saves are checked, not games and media, and it will back up all your saves to usb. You can’t choose which save like on ps4 but you definitely don’t need ps plus

I gave the twinned set to D’s brother in front of the valiant gargoyles, does this prevents me from fighting lichdragon fortissax ?
I can’t conclusively say as I’ve never done anything of D’s questline or his brother’s, but I don’t see why it would matter. His questline isn’t necessary for Lichdragon Fortissax at all. Fia automatically moves to Deeproot Depths after setting the tree on fire. Anything tied to D’s questline can be skipped and therefore shouldn’t matter in any way.
No. But after you get the binding runner, go back and D’s brother will have killed Fia.
For those like me who interacted with Three Fingers and got the Frenzied Flames in the first playtrough, don’t worry as you can still get all 3 endings and trophies/achievements if you manage backups to return to the point after defeating the final boss.
Finish Millicent’s Questline, defeat Malenia, rest in the site of grace which spawns after fighting her, go to the flower and pick up Miquella’s Needle BUT DON’T USE IT !!!
Then, after defeating the final boss, rest in the site of grace “Stone Plataform” which spawns the final battle place.
NOW you will create a backup of your current data and you will have the Frenzied Flame Ending and the trophy will show up.
After this, you will substitute your current data with the one you’ve backed up earlier!!!
Now you need to defeat Dragonlord Placidusax in Crumbling Farum Azula to unlock it’s site of grace. There you will use Miquella’s Needle and free your Tarnished from the Frenzied Flames, being able to get the other two endings that were locked by the Frenzied Flames ending. Repeat the back up process and everthing will be fine.
Can I talk to Melenia at the Forge of Giants and got to Crumbling Farum Azula or will it lock me out of the other endings? I just got there now. From what I see in the guide the main thing is to manually save after Elden Beast.
Yes that’s fine. You can still do all steps for all endings AFTER defeating Elden Beast.
Hey i did the Flame of Frenzie ending but the trophy didnt pop after the i was grabbed and burned? Why not?

I just went through the steps to get the frenzy flame ending. I saw the whole cinematic of the burning of the eldtree. But the PS5 trophy did t pop. Is there anything else that has to happen or is it bugged?
You triggered it at the statue after the final boss? That’s when it should pop (not after you go through the door at the bottom of the sewers)
If it didn’t pop it probably bugged, copy back save and redo it. Reinstalling the game can also help as sometimes there’s an issue with the trophy set install during the game install.
With the Renna ending do i complete her quest fully or do i have to wait till i finish it? will it lock me out if i speak to her to complete the quest of the normal ending? Thanks

I’ve done 2 endings now (Elden lord and Ranni’s), after restoring the save, I went to get burnt by the three fingers, but now I’m locked outside Radagon’s arena… How can I enter Radagon’s arena again after being burnt by the three fingers?
