Across the Narrow is the 62nd main story quest in Final Fantasy 16 (XVI). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Across the Narrow main scenario chapter.

- Quest Info: But one Mothercrystal now remains in all of Valisthea. To see balance restored to the realm and ensure humanity’s place within it secured, the final heart must be destroyed.
Objectives:
- Visit the infirmary
- Speak with Vivian Ninetales
- Visit the shelves
- Visit the ale hall
- Speak with Otto
- Journey to the Shadow Coast
Visit the infirmary
At the start of the quest you’re in the Hideaway, and need to head over to the infirmary. On the way, there are new items available at the vendors, as well as a number of new side quests that are available. Even Weirder Science would be recommended to complete right now as it gives the second inventory upgrade, as well as completing all Blacksmith’s Blues quests as IV rewards the design draft to craft Gotterdammerung, the strongest weapon in the playthrough.
New side quests:

- Even Weirder Science (after completing Weird Science)
- Under New Management
- Rekindling the Flame II (after completing Rekindling the Flame)

Speak with Vivian Ninetales
After the scenes in the infirmary, head out and speak with Vivian for a map update.
Visit the shelves
After Vivian’s update, you can now head over and speak with Joshua in the shelves. There is also one more new side quest available in the Hideaway.
New side quests:
Visit the ale hall
You can then head back out into The Ale Hall for an automatic scene.
Speak with Otto
After the scene, head over and speak with Otto.
Journey to the Shadow Coast
You’ll now automatically be on the world map. Select the new location The Shadow Coast on the continent of Ash to continue to the next main quest.
