Ghost of Yotei The Crimson Kimono Walkthrough

The Crimson Kimono is a mythic tale in Ghost of Yotei. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the The Crimson Kimono side quest.

• Quest Info: Someone’s chasing stories of yuki mushi and kimono. This storyteller was last seen near a large orange tree in the Sakuru Woods.

Starting Location: The Crimson Kimono

Talk to Storyteller Ugestu at Teshio Ridge > Sakuru Woods > Mother Daughter Tree. He sits below the only yellow tree in the area.

Examine the snow sculpture

After talking to Ugetsu, examine the snow sculpture to the left of Ugetsu.

Follow the red yuki mushi

Some red flying bugs appear, follow them to an abandoned camp nearby.

Explore the campsite

Here, read the scroll on the ground, which will lead you to Hakodake Mountains.

Travel to the eastern Hakodake Mountains

The mountains are located to the north of your current position.

Find an orange Mother Daughter Tree

Once arrived, look for another orange tree. It’s easy to spot as it is the only orange tree in this location.

Here, examine the snow sculpture and the yuki mushi appears again.

Follow the red yuki mushi

Before you can follow them, you will be attacked by some shinobis. Kill them all.

Now follow the red yuki mushi by climbing up the hill nearby to reach an abandoned shack.

Enter the shack and read the scroll on the ground, which leads you to the mountain north of the Teshio River.

Travel to the mountain north of Teshio River

This is located southwest of your current position.

Find an orange Mother Daughter Tree

The orange tree is once again easy to spot among all the white trees.

Inspect the snow sculpture below the tree, and the red yuki mushi appear again.

Follow the red yuki mushi

Follow the yuki mushi to a slightly hidden entrance and crawl through it.

Inside the mountain, follow the yuki mushi and squeeze through a wall.

You will reach a frozen puddle of water. Here, turn right and jump to the wall on the other side and climb up.

Follow the yuki mushi further outside, swing to the other side, and go through another cave. This is a linear path, and you will soon reach the old home.

Explore the home

Enter the house and climb up the ladder. Read the scroll here that leads you to the final snow sculpture.

Examine the final snow sculpture

Head outside and you find the snow sculpture on the frozen stream. You may have seen it already before entering the house. Examine the sculpture.

Follow the red yuki mushi

The yukimushi appear one last time, follow them to the mother’s grave behind the house.

Here, examine the rocks to the right of the grave to find the Crimson Kimono Armor.
