Ghost of Yotei The Load We Bear Walkthrough

The Load We Bear is a side tale in Ghost of Yotei. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the The Load We Bear side quest.

• Requirement: having finished Side Tale: The Heart of an Ainu
• Reward: Thoughts on the Ocean hat,  Sitturaynu
• Quest Info: Huci invited me to a meal at Husko Kotan. I haven’t had a real meal in ages.

Objectives:

1. Find huci in the hills west of Husko Kotan
2. Follow huci & Find the bear cub
3. Lead the bear cub to huci at the bottom of the hill
4. Meet back up with huci
5. Follow the bear cub and introduce them to the Kotan
6. Invite huci’s son to a celebratory meal
7. Join huci for a meal at her home

Starting Location: The Load We Bear

Find huci in the hills west of Husko Kotan

After talking to huci’s son, follow the quest marker into the hills near Kotan.

You will end up on a cliff that you need to climb up.

Here, turn right and move forward to find huci. Jump down and talk to her.

Follow huci & Find the bear cub

After the conversation, follow her and climb up the cliff at the end.

Up the hill, turn right and jump over to the other cliff side.

On the other side, climb down the hill and jump onto the trench on the right side. Then follow the path over a beam and climb up the cliff on the other side.

Here, turn right and go down a little slope, then swing over to the other side of the cliff and climb up there.

Up there, turn right again, and you will find the bear cub’s mom. Next to her, pull out the rocks to free the cub.

After you free the cub, play any song to make it come out of the cave.

Lead the bear cub to huci at the bottom of the hill

Now move forward and slide down a rocky slope.

Meet back up with huci

After sliding down, you will find huci on the right side with a great view of Husko Kotan. This triggers a cutscene.

Follow the bear cub and introduce them to the Kotan

After the cutscene, follow huci and the cub around the town. The tour will end after talking to the Kotan elderly.

Invite huci’s son to a celebratory meal

You will find huci’s son near the river on the left side after the tour through Kotan.

Join huci for a meal at her home

Follow the son back to huci’s house to trigger a cutscene. You have to walk together with the son, if you rush ahead or fast travel away, the cutscene won’t trigger if you return to huci by yourself. If you lost him, backtrack to the river.

This finishes The Load We Bear in Ghost of Yotei.
