The Undying Samurai is a mythic tale in Ghost of Yotei. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the The Undying Samurai mythic side quest.

- Reward: Armor of the Undying (Armor)
- Quest Info: A storyteller has been spreading tales of a samurai who cannot be killed. I should hear him out in Ishikari Plain, north of Nakagoya Spring.

- Find the wind chimes
- Use the wind chimes to find the Undying Samurai
- Place the wind chimes
- Defeat the Undying Samurai
Starting Location: The Undying Samurai
Starts in Ishikari Plain > Nakagoya Spring > Storyteller’s Rest.
Seek out the storyteller in Ishikari Plain
The storyteller is located at Storyteller’s Rest, around 100m east of Masked Man’s Quarry. When you see Ugetsu, talk to him.
Find the wind chimes
Now, we are tasked with finding four wind chimes. They are bells hanging off trees with a light blue cloth attached to them. Once you find the first one (directly in front of you), you can swipe up on the Touchpad to hold the chime in front of you and find where the wind is strongest (fastest ringing noise and blue cloth swirls around fast).
First Wind Chime:
Directly ahead of you after the cutscene. Kill the bear that’s under the tree.
Second Wind Chime:
At the top of the cliffs in Stone Jaw Coast, on the map it’s just below the “st” of “Coast“. You have to use your grappling hook to pull the body down.
Third Wind Chime:
Just to the south of the “m” in Rumoi River. Speak to the Ronin next to the tree then kill him for the chime.
Fourth Wind Chime:
Slightly north of Nakagoya Spring, on the map just above the “ka” of “Nakagoya”. On a rock with a bent tree.
Use the wind chimes to find the Undying Samurai
The wind chimes lead you to an outcropping in north-west Ishikari Plain, at the cliffs over the coastline. Climb down the cliff at the end of the path to find a rock path to slide down, then squeeze through a gap to enter a cave.
Follow the linear path in the cave to eventually reach the small bay inside the cave with lots of wind chimes.
Place the wind chimes
Place the four wind chimes on the four wooden posts to start a cutscene.
Defeat the Undying Samurai
Defeat the Samurai in a duel to win his armor and complete the quest.
This finishes The Undying Samurai in Ghost of Yotei.
