God of War – Hammer Fall Favour Walkthrough

Hammer Fall is a Favour (Side Quest) for the spirit in Stone Falls Region in God of War 2018. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Hammer Fall Favour.

• Quest Giver: Spirit in Stone Falls Region
• Requirement: Must have completed The Light of Alfheim up to when you return to Midgard.
• Reward: Týr’s Lost Gauntlets Recipe, Týr’s Offering and 1880 XP
• Availability: After returning from story quest in Alfheim Realm (the favour is still available after the story)

This quest will have you demolish a statue of Thor.

Starting Location

Head to Stone Falls on the Eastern side of the map. Here is the location of the dock:

The quest giver, a ghost, is found at the top of the Stone Falls.

If you’re doing this at the first opportunity after returning from Alfheim (medium water level): dock your boat at the Stone Falls, head northeast through the open gate and take out the Cursed Tatzelwurm and poison Revenant. Once they are dispatched look to the opening to the south to see the bridge suspended upwards. Throw your axe at the chains holding the bridge up to drop it. Head back through the gate and jump over the newly dropped bridge and speak to the spirit right ahead of you.

If you’ve already completed the story (low water level): the boat dock will have changed sligthly after the story. You’ll have to dock at the foot of the Stone Falls and climb up to find the spirit on top, by the big wheel that opens the gate to Veithurgard.

Once you have been given the quest be sure to track it through the Goals tab of your menu.

Destroy the statue of Thor

Use the wheel next to the spirit to open up the giant flood gates and return to your boat. Travel through Veithugard Pass and dock on the beach. Continue forward and take out the small mob and head through the little crawlspace ahead and into the open area with the wolves, take them out. Head south under the fallen pillar and down the path. When you reach the beach use the boat to sail in the water into Veithurgard. Head to the marker in the North and dock your boat on the beach at the foot of the Thor statue. Straight ahead under the statue will be an enemy you will want to defeat quickly before his friend joins the fight. Take out both enemies and head to the front side of the Thor Statue. Here you will need to throw your axe at key parts of the statue to knock it down. Here are the key points:

Return to the Disciple of Thor

After taking out the statue make your way back to the Stone Falls. Once back on the island, speak with the spirit to complete this favour.

And this completes the Hammer Fall quest in God of War.
