God of War – Shores of Nine Collectible Locations

Shores of Nine contains 32 Collectible Locations in God of War (2018, PS4). This walkthrough will guide you to all the collectibles in Shores of Nine Region in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies and 100% completion is included. Nothing is missable, everything can be collected after the story.

Before you start collecting in this region, it is recommended you visit and collect everything else in Midgard first. Keep this area for last. It’s a rather confusing layout that overlaps with lots of other regions. For better understanding, follow the other Collectible Guides first so you have a better overview of the region and know where what area is. Some of these collectibles actually require a lot of game progress, for example you must already have found the 4 Language Ciphers to Muspelheim and Niflheim and lowered the water to the lowest level.

#1 – Artefact 1/4 – 0:05
Exit Brok’s shop at Tyr’s temple and walk down the path on the left, to the boat dock. There’s a corpse that has an artefact.

#2 – Legendary Chest 1/1 – 0:29
Close to the last artefact. Go downstairs to the boat dock at Tyr’s temple. Then circle around the back of the building. So you’re walking next to the water (outside the temple). Behind the temple by the water is a legendary chest. It’s hidden by some vegetation, which can be burned with the Blades of Chaos.

#3 – Jötnar Shrine 1/2 (Jörmungadr) – 0:58
Inside Vanaheim tower, the big tower that connects the Lake of Nine with the Foothills area.

#4 – Lore Marker 1/7 – 1:51
Inside Vanaheim tower, the big tower that connects the Lake of Nine with the Foothills area. It’s at the entrance in plain sight. To read this lore you must have found 4 Language Ciphers of Niflheim, which are to be found in many other areas.

#5 – Lore Marker 2/7 – 2:10
Inside Vanaheim tower, the big tower that connects the Lake of Nine with the Foothills area. It’s at the entrance in plain sight. To read this lore you must have found 4 Language Ciphers of Muspelheim, which are to be found in many other areas.

#6 – Realm Tear Encounter 1/4 – 2:26
Inside Vanaheim tower, the big tower that connects the Lake of Nine with the Foothills area. In the entrance hall where the two lore markers were, shoot the 3 blue crystals in the corners of the room at the ceiling with Atreus’ Light Elf arrows (blue arrows unlocked later in story).

#7 – Lore Marker 3/7 – 2:46
Further into Vanaheim tower, on the path to Foothills region. There’s a cave section. In it you must destroy some wooden rubble in front of a lore marker. Then carry the blue crystal to it and have Atreus shoot it with blue Light Elf arrows.

#8 – Purple Cipher Chest 1/2 – 3:37
Next to the lore marker, just 2 meters away from it.

#9 – Lore Marker 4/7 – 3:54
In region “Cliffs of the Raven”, but actually counts towards Shores of Nine. At the end of that region, in the sand. In plain sight. When you interact with it, you must kill a wave of enemies and then a spirit spawns that gives you the favor “Unfinished Business”.

#10 – Wayward Spirit Favor 1/1 (Unfinished Business) – 3:54
After reading Lore Marker 4/7 at the Cliffs of the Raven region. A spirit spawns next to the lore marker and gives you this quest (alternatively, it can also be triggered from any of the remaining 3 lore markers, they all can start this quest). In this favor you got to activate the remaining lore markers in Shores of Nine, all of which are covered here in this guide.

#11 – Mystic Gateway 1/10 – 5:30
At the beach of region “Lookout Tower”. Where you dock your boat, in plain sight.

#12 – Jötnar Shrine 2/2 (Thrym) – 5:59
At the top of region “Lookout Tower”, there’s a zipline you can use. This leads you to the Muspelheim Tower. On the path after using the zipline you can see the shrine (big wooden door) in front of you.

#13 – Purple Cipher Chest 2/2 – 6:44
Just after the last shrine, further on the path towards the Muspelheim Tower.

#14 – Mystic Gateway 2/10 – 7:10
At the top of Muspelheim tower, after the last collectible.

#15 – Artefact 2/4 – 7:25
At the top of Niflheim tower. Must dock your boat at the tower and use the elevator to get up there.

#16 – Raven 1/1 – 8:01
At the top of Niflheim tower. From where you picked up the last artefact, you can see the raven sitting on a shipwreck a little below the Niflheim tower.

#17 – Mystic Gateway 3/10 – 8:15
At the top of Niflheim tower, next to the artefact.

#18 – Realm Tear Encounter 2/4 – 8:25
At the top of Niflheim tower, next to the artefact.

#19 – Mystic Gateway 4/10 – 8:35
At the top of Isle of Death Region. You must climb up the mountain on the Isle of Death. The gateway counts towards the Shores of Nine though.

#20 – Lore Marker 5/7 – 9:26
At the top of Isle of Death Region. You must climb up the mountain on the Isle of Death.

#21 – Lore Marker 6/7 – 9:58
At the top of Iron Cove Region. You can use the zipline at the top of Isle of Death to get there. Even though it’s in Iron Cove it still counts towards Shores of Nine.

#22 – Mystic Gateway 5/10 – 10:49
In the Forgotten Caverns region. Dock your boat the southern dock of Forgotten Caverns. Then the Mystic Gateway is inside the cave by the beach.

#23 – Lore Marker 7/7 – 11:12
In Forgotten Caverns Region, climb up the mountain from the Mystic Gateway. At the top of Forgotten Caverns you can find this.

#24 – Realm Tear Encounter 3/4 – 12:00
Now move on to the northern dock of Forgotten Caverns. In the river tunnel to Konunsgard you can dock your boat. Climb up the mountain to the Swartalfheim Tower. At the top is the realm tear.

#25 – Mystic Gateway 6/10 – 12:44
Same place as last collectible, at top of Swartalfheim Tower.

#26 – Mystic Gateway 7/10 – 13:10
In Ruins of the Ancient Region, at the beach.

#27 – Mystic Gateway 8/10 – 13:31
At the Mason’s channel, dock your boat at the southern dock, the one that leads you to Council of Valkyries. There at the beach is a Mystic Gateway.

#28 – Artefact 3/4 – 13:54
From last collectible, use the elevator at the end of the beach to the top of the Helheim tower. Artefact is at the top of Helheim tower.

#29 – Artefact 4/4 – 14:22
At the top of Alfheim tower. It’s on the right side of the Mason’s Channel, near Council of Valkyries.

#30 – Mystic Gateway 9/10 – 14:57
At the top of Alfheim tower.

#31 – Realm Tear Encounter 4/4 – 15:07
At the top of Alfheim tower.

#32 – Mystic Gateway 10/10 – 15:17
At the top of Stone Falls Region.
