A Thief in the Night is a Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the A Thief in the Night side mission.
Location: World Map -> Feldcroft Region -> Irondale
Quest Giver: Pádraic Haggarty
Quest Level: Level 20
Requirement: Having Finished Main Quest: The High Keep
Reward: Appearances, Gold, 180XP
Mission Info: The vendor in Irondale seems to be upset about something. I should introduce myself and see what the matter is.
Objectives:
- Speak with the Irondale vendor
- Return to the scene in Irondale at night
- Look for clues at the scene
- Follow the trail of coins
- Capture the thief
- Return to Pádraic Haggarty
Starting Location: A Thief in the Night
Speak with the Irondale vendor
Just talk to Pádraic, he wants you to find the gold thief.
Return to the scene in Irondale at night
You need to do this quest during night-time. If you have daytime, then open the map and press 
/ 
to skip into night-time.
Look for clues at the scene
Cast Revelio to find the clues, they will be highlighted blue.
Follow the trail of coins
Just follow the trail of coins, this will take a while and it will lead you through two camps with enemies. Cast Revelio if you get lost on the trail.
Capture the thief
At the end of the trail, you will find a little Niffler Hideout. You need to capture the Niffler with the Nab-Sack. Cast Revelio to find the Niffler, it will be blue-highlighted.
Return to Pádraic Haggarty
Once you got the Niffler, return to Pádraic.
This finishes A Thief in the Night Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy.
