The High Keep is the thirty-second main quest in Hogwarts Legacy. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The High Keep Main Mission.
Requirement: having completed Professor Garlick’s Assignment 1 (Wingardium Leviosa), Level 17
Reward: 260 XP, Hippogriff Mounts, Hippogriff Beast Entry
Quest Info: What an adventure! It began when I met Natty near some old castle ruins. She told me how she had followed Theophilus Harlow to the Hog’s Head and noticed him reading a letter bearing Rookwood’s seal. She wanted to get that letter to bring to Officer Singer as proof of Harlow and Rookwood’s collusion, so she followed Harlow to Falbarton Castle. On our way inside, we saw that the poachers had captured Highwing and another Hippogriff. Together, Natty and I rescued the Hippogriffs from the poachers and got away with the incriminating letter, which Natty plans to deliver to the Officer Singer and bring Rookwood and Harlow to justice.

Starting Location: The High Keep
With Wingardium Leviosa in our spell book we’re ready to meet with Natty at Falbarton Castle in the Highlands.
Meet Natty Near Falbarton Castle
Fly to Falbarton Castle, all the way east of Hogsmeade and meet with Natty.
Climb the Battlements
Activate the nearby floo flame and then check for a side path on the right leading downhill past the floo flame.
Climb the platform and then the wall. Now use Depulso on the contraption to open the small gate. Then, cast Wingardium Leviosa at the crate and position it by the wall to be able to climb it and continue on.
Enter the Gatehouse
Destroy the small barricade, then run all the way to the back and use the cracked window to move the crate on the other side with Wingardium Leviosa or Accio out of the way. Then, go back a crouch through the opening.
Open the Main Gate
Now repeatedly cast Depulso on the contraption to activate the portcullis and then Accio on the hook to stop it and leave the gate open.
Follow Natty
Follow Natty through the door for a new cutscene.
Get to the Roof
After the cutscenes you’ll be facing a wooden scaffolding. Climb it up and then the wall.
You’ll then see a crate in front of you through a small window. Use Depulso a couple of times on the crate to drop it, then head downstairs.
Now place the crate at the top of the other set of stairs and use it to jump across.
Go up the stairs and defeat the enemies. Then, unlock the door with Alohomora. Refer to the screenshot below for the solution.
Continue up the stairs and ladder, defeat the enemies, then unlock a second door for Alohomora. Solution below.
After you’ve unlocked the door, walk into the room in front of you for some beast cells. In here, you can rescue some beasts if you’d like, including a Niffler.
Continue up the stairs and check the right openings for some loot, including a chest. You’ll eventually unlock a cutscene with Highwing.
Follow Natty on Highwing
Now simply follow Natty on Highwing and enjoy the scenery.
This finishes The High Keep in Hogwarts Legacy.
