Hogwarts Legacy Poached Egg Walkthrough

Poached Egg is a Relationship Quest in Hogwarts Legacy. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Poached Egg mission.

Location: Hogsmeade
Quest Giver: Poppy Sweeting
Quest Level: Level 20
Requirement: Having Finished Relationship Quest: A Dragon Debrief and Main Quest: Fire and Vice
Reward: 180XP
Mission Info: Poppy sent me an owl saying she knows where we need to return the dragon egg we have in our possession. I’m to meet her in Hogsmeade’s town circle.

Objectives:

Talk to Poppy in Hogsmeade town circle
Find the dragon’s nest
Get past the dragon and closer to her nest
Place the egg in its nest

Starting Location: Poached Egg

Talk to Poppy in Hogsmeade town circle

Just talk to Poppy in Hogsmeade, she wants to return the dragon egg.

Find the dragon’s nest

Follow the quest marker to the nest. On the way, you will come across a broken bridge, repair it with Reparo.

Shortly after the bridge, you will reach a courtyard where the dragon will appear.

Get past the dragon and closer to her nest

Hide behind the walls, wait for the dragon’s attack, then run to the next wall. Repeat until you passed the door.

After the first dragon sequence you will come across another dragon sequence, repeat the process from above until you passed this section.

After the second dragon seqeunce a third sequnce will happen, again repeat the process one last time to get past the dragon.

Place the egg in its nest

After you passed all three dragon sequences follow the given path to find the nest, you will come across a broken bridge again, repair it with Reparo. The nest will be behind the bridge.

Note: there can be a bug that causes the interaction prompt to not show up when placing the egg. This happens when you are still in combat. If it doesn’t let you place the egg, reloading the last autosave or casting Disillusionment should fix it.
