How to Start God of War Ragnarok Valhalla DLC?

In order to start the free God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla DLC expansion, follow these steps:

1. Download the latest patch version 5.01 and also download the Valhalla DLC file from PS Store. This is a separate download! In PS Store it’s called “God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla”. You can go to the game page of God of War Ragnarok (main game) and scroll down to see the download.
   
2. After the patch + DLC are installed, boot up God of War Ragnarok (main game). In the Title Screen there will be a yellow option “VALHALLA“. Click on it and select the difficulty to start the DLC.
   

While this DLC is free, it’s important to know that the main game “God of War Ragnarok” is needed to play it, which costs money. If you own the main game the Valhalla DLC doesn’t cost anything extra. This expansion released December 12, 2023 at 9AM Pacific Time.
