Introduction

Welcome to the MindsEye Trophy Guide! MindsEye is a completely linear story game. It is divided into 35 main missions. The story takes around 10 hours on the easiest difficulty if you run past enemies, and up to 15 hours on the hardest difficulty. Cutscenes are unskippable so it can’t be done much faster than that. There are also “side missions” but these can all be skipped for trophy purposes.

Step 1: Finish Story on any difficulty + Combat Trophies + Collect Weapons

Play through the story on any difficulty. There are no difficulty-related trophies, so playing on Easy is fine. All trophies come automatically from the story, except trophy Smooth Flying in Mission 10: Executive Paranoia, and the combat trophies for 50 headshots & 50 kills on stunned enemies. The other trophies are all automatic story rewards, so don’t worry about them. Just play through the story.

The only thing to collect are the 11 weapons. They come from automatic story rewards and as drops from enemies. The only unique weapon you won’t get from enemies is the “SGIAN-DUBH” in Mission 33: In Pursuit Of The Orb. For everything else, mark enemies with  and run over their corpses to collect their weapons.

If you missed anything you can get it via Mission Select after the story, hence nothing is missable. Your weapons carry over in Mission Select too.

ALL TROPHIES & WEAPONS IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER:

  • Mission 35: The End of the World – trophy Sacrifice (automatic story trophy) + trophy Mindseye (Platinum)

Optional: Cleanup

After the story, if you are missing one of the non-automatic trophies, use Mission Replay to get what you need. This should only take a few minutes to clean up. Your already unlocked weapons carry over to old missions when replaying.

MindsEye Trophy Guide & Roadmap Smooth Flying
Got the Pincer Drone to Claudia’s apartment without taking damage
Silver

SEMI-MISSABLE (but obtainable via Mission Replay if missed)

Mission 10: Executive Paranoia

During Mission 10 “Executive Paranoia” you will fly a little drone through an AC Vent. On the left side of the screen it will show a damage bar in %. This has to remain at 0% until you reach Claudia’s apartment and get the objective “Search for Clues”. If you bang the drone against a wall at full speed it will take damage. If the AC turns on and pushes you into a wall you will also take damage.

The trick here is to take it slow and land the drone every 10 seconds before the AC turns on again. Hold down :l2: while the AC is turned on, without moving the left stick in any direction. This will keep the drone firmly parked on the ground. If the drone is still moving while the AC is on, it will get pushed around and take damage.

If you take damage, simply “Return to Start Screen” and continue to retry from the last checkpoint. This is the only story trophy that doesn’t come fully automatically. If you missed it, you can replay it at any time via the “Story Missions” menu. There’s only a short 1-minute car ride before the drone section so you don’t need to replay much.

MindsEye Trophy Guide & Roadmap Robin Of Lock Keys
Opened the safe in Morrison’s apartment
Silver
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks in Mission 13 “Penthouse Gamble”, during objective “Crack the Safe”. As part of the main story, you come to an office room and must interact with a safe. There you must complete a minigame QTE – there will be circles around the safe, and one part of the circle is colored red. You must press :x: when the moving circle piece lines up with the red piece. Repeat this for each number until the safe opens. If you fail, the game will make you keep retrying until you open the safe.
MindsEye Trophy Guide & Roadmap Robotic Blind Spot
Installed the ODT in the Solar Farm
Silver
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks during Mission 16 “Solar Implant”. While fighting your way through the solar farm, you will get a main objective to install the ODT on a wall panel. This can’t be missed, you have to do it to proceed with the story objectives.
MindsEye Trophy Guide & Roadmap Little Jacob
Rerouted the power in the Prison
Silver
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks during Mission 18 “Solitary Confinement”. After sneaking past the prison guard robots (can press  to see their vision cones), you will interact with a computer to reroute the power. You need to stop the power to the switchboard but not the alarm. Spin the power nodes to cut off the switchboard on the right. There are many ways to solve it, here is one possible solution:

In case you fail, it alerts a nearby robot that will come to check the computer room, but you can hide until it goes away. If you’re caught it will restart the checkpoint until you reroute the power, so there’s no way to miss the trophy.

MindsEye Trophy Guide & Roadmap In Too Deep
Dug your own grave…and lived to tell the tale
Silver
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks during Mission 26 “The Wrong Move”. After the QTE where you dig a grave. If you fail the QTE, you will get a game over screen and the story forces you to keep trying until you finish digging the grave. Therefore it can’t be missed.
MindsEye Trophy Guide & Roadmap Rocket Science!
Aligned the satellite
Silver
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks during Mission 30 “Save Who You Can”. After the minigame in space where you must align the satellite. First, you must align the triangle on the satellite with the red triangle shape on the screen. Then you must rotate the solar panels to the side and turn them upwards towards the sun so they get 98% energy.

MindsEye Trophy Guide & Roadmap Xenoarchaeologist
Solved all the puzzles underground
Silver
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks during Mission 31 “The Ziggurat”, after the objective “Unlock the Statue’s Secret”.

If you get stuck on the puzzles refer to MindsEye How to Decipher the Pattern & Unlock the Statue’s Secret.

MindsEye Trophy Guide & Roadmap Bionic Malfunction
That is going to leave a mess
Gold
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks during Mission 31 “The Ziggurat”, when you get the objective “Escape the Ziggurat”.
MindsEye Trophy Guide & Roadmap Soldier
Eliminate 100 enemies
Silver
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. You will automatically have to defeat much more than 100 enemies throughout the story (probably 1000+ automatic kills). 100 kills will come very fast, it will be one of the first few trophies you unlock.
MindsEye Trophy Guide & Roadmap One Shot, One Kill
Eliminate 50 enemies with headshots
Silver
Odds are this will come automatically, since you kill probably close to 1000 enemies during the story. Simply shoot 50 enemies in the head. If you don’t have this trophy after the story, replay any missions to farm it. You can keep track via the counter on the trophy itself (via PS5 trophy list menu).
MindsEye Trophy Guide & Roadmap Finisher
Eliminate 50 enemies that are stunned
Silver
The ability to stun enemies becomes available during Mission 12 “A New Companion”, this is when you unlock the Companion Drone. Then you can use the Companion Drone with :r1: + :circle: to stun enemies. It will shoot a laser that electrocutes enemies. While an enemy is electrocuted you must kill him. Repeat 50 times.

The Drone has only 2 stun charges. These slowly recharge over time. Remember to stun enemies after Mission 12 whenever possible before killing them.

Note that the drone’s stun ability gets upgraded in Mission 31: The Ziggurat to also inflict damage (the laser is then colored red). After this point the stun ability will instakill regular human enemies, but robots can still be stunned. If you don’t have the trophy by the end of the story, it would be easier to replay earlier missions, before Mission 31.

MindsEye Trophy Guide & Roadmap Explosive Personality
Eliminate 25 enemies with explosions
Silver
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks during Mission 29: Send Them All To Hades. In this mission you automatically get the grenade upgrade for the drone. Then you can fly the drone with :r1: + :triangle: and shoot grenades with :r1: + :square: . The story requires you to kill lots of enemies with the grenade drone, which count as explosion kills. Later in this mission, the story requires you to pilot a helicopter equipped with rockets and you must shoot lots of enemies with it. You will automatically rack up more than 25 explosion kills from this mandatory story objective.

It’s possible to unlock this trophy early by shooting explosive canisters near enemies. Note that enemies sitting inside exploding cars don’t count.

MindsEye Trophy Guide & Roadmap Lesser Key of Solomon
Unlock the full potential of the Companion Drone
Gold
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks during Mission 31: The Ziggurat. You get all drone upgrades automatically from story progress, they are nothing you collect or buy. After objective “Decipher the Pattern”, when you watch the next cutscene, you will unlock the final drone upgrade and the trophy unlocks. So don’t even worry about these upgrades, they are entirely automatic story unlocks.
MindsEye Trophy Guide & Roadmap Sticks and Stones
Collect all main campaign weapons
Gold
There are 11 Weapons. 10 of these come as automatic story rewards and as drops from enemies. Each enemy you defeat will drop a weapon. Always mark enemies with  and run over their corpses after killing them. All weapon types reappear multiple times throughout the game, and you must run over enemy corpses anyway to collect ammo. So you should get everything naturally.

The only weapon that isn’t dropped by enemies is the SGIAN-DUBH (Rocket Launcher) in Mission 33: In Pursuit Of The Orb. If you’re missing one after the story it’s likely to be this weapon.
It’s found during objective “Find the Orb”. During this mission you enter a military facility, your friend “Rigby” will drive a vehicle through a tunnel while you shoot a mounted machine gun. After the second driving section, you leave the car and continue on foot. Rigby will open a door while you defend her from more enemies that come through the tunnel. Afterward you go through a gate that Rigby opened for you, then you go further downstairs into the military facility. After going downstairs, there’s an orange-glowing weapon in a side room you pass by. You will walk right past it on the mandatory story path, but if you rush through it’s easy to overlook. When you scan with  it will be marked as an “ammo pickup”. Rigby will also say “That weapon, what is it?” when you walk past it. So if you just listen out for her dialogue you will know when you’re close. See Video Guide.

For a list of all weapon locations refer to this guide (they are also listed in Step 1 of the Roadmap): » MindsEye All Weapon Locations

Thanks for the guide but I guess this is a wait for sale game how bad is the performance?

Performance is shockingly bad. Plays like a PS3 game (Patch 1.03).

Thanks for this. Would you say performance is the No. 1 problem, as in, would this be a competent game if it functioned properly, or would it suck anyway?

Solid 5/10 game and I’m being generous. Wanted to scratch that GTA itch and preordered.

Very easy platinum. Incredible graphics and a reasonable story. The gameplay was clunky and the performance was shocking. Hopefully performance issues will be resolved in the near future.

This game is the backwash of a failed Fortnite copy the company was going to be putting out at first as a game launcher for games like this

Thank you for the trophy guide. While I was initially interested in MindsEye before release, it became more and more obvious that it would not be good, which seems to be the case. At the very least, the game has an easy Platinum trophy that takes a reasonable amount of time, so if it ever ends up on PS Plus and is patched up, I might play it.

I picked up the vt-9 smg during the mission but later on it isn’t in my weapon wheel, is this a glitch or will it show up later?

Some weapons on the weapon wheel can only be accessed if you press the d-pad to the left or right while having that slot selected with the analogue stick.

I can’t stress this enough, i hope they fix how sensitive the QTE is when doing Cpr. Literally took me like 50 attempts.
