- 1 Stars: Cave Research Level 1: Nice and calm.
Obtained by taking a standard picture of Gengar, the best opportunity is on the main path just after passing all the Croagunk you will see Sableye scurry forward and there is a Gengar just walking around in the open.
- 2 Stars: Cave Research Level 3: Noteworthy behavior?
On the descent towards the bottom of the open area if you look on the ledges to the right you will see a Gengar out in the open taunting a sleeping Clefairy. Throw an illumina orb at the Gengar and snap a picture.
- 3 Stars: Cave Research Level 1: Slipping through
About halfway down on your descent towards the croagunk you will see a purple portal on a wall to the left. Throw a fluffruit at the portal and Gengar will peek halfway out of the portal, this is the 3 star pose.
- 4 Stars: Cave Research Level 2: What a prankster!
Along the main path at the start just before you head under the archway into the descent toward the Croagunk you will see a portal to the right and a bumch of Carbink heading past it. Use an illumina orb on the portal while the Carbink are in front of it and Gengar will pop out and stick its tongue out at the Carbink to scare them.
