Rainy Night Tale / Weather Watch is a side mission in NTE (Neverness to Everness). The quest is initially called “Rainy Night Tale” on the map, but once started the name changes to “Weather Watch” in the quest log.

- Requirement: Complete Prologue 2: Good Business, Better Treasure and change the weather to rainy.

- Find the Missing Student (Tracking in the Rain)
- Follow the JTF Member (Operation Assistance)
- Nullify Rainman (3) (Nullify the Rainmen)
- Wait for the Student to leave (A Close Call)
- Wait till the next Evening (6:00-8:00 PM) (After the Rain)
- Go to the district where Rainman appears (Rainman’s District)
- Check what Bixing is up to (Rainman’s District)
- Talk to Bixing (Bustle)
- Investigate the Residential Area (Patrol Assistance)
- Go to the Damp House (Abnormal Humidity)
- Examine the Wall (Damp)
- Ask the Nearby Residents (Rising Vapor)
- Follow Bixing
- Go to the Abandoned Warehouse (Verge of Truth)
- Examine the Warehouse Gate (Investigation Starts)
- Find Another Entrance (Find a Way Inside)
- Examine the Second Floor Door (Slightly Opened Door)
- Investigate the Abandoned Warehouse (Mystery of Rainman)
- Nullify Rainmen as they leave the warehouse (5) (Torrential Rain)
Starting Location: Rainy Night Tale / Weather Watch
After Prologue 2, make sure you switch to rainy weather for the quest to appear on the map. In the radial menu ( 
) you can click on “Time System” to change the weather and time.
Eavesdrop on the Students’ conversation
Find the quest opener in the alley south of the Security Office on Coastal Highway Z42.
The students ultimately step into the nearby laundromat.
Eavesdrop on the Students’ conversation
Follow them into the laundromat and speak with Fir.
Talk to Fir (Stubborn Resolve)
While the objective says to talk to someone, you just need to wait in the laundromat for the objective to change.
Comfort the Worried Student (Here Comes the Anomaly Hunter)
Interact with Fir.
Leave the Laundromat (Leave Safe House)
Step out of the building.
Find the Missing Student (Tracking in the Rain)
Follow the alley to the southwest until a scene starts. Here, you get approached by a JTF Member.
Follow the JTF Member (Operation Assistance)
The JTF Member takes out behind the building to your right.
Nullify Rainman (3) (Nullify the Rainmen)
Take out the three Oddities that you find in the alley.
Wait for the Student to leave (A Close Call)
Just wait here a few moments for a scene to start.
You earn the first rewards for this quest at this point.
- Reward: Hunter Level EXP x200, Annulith x30, Fons x7500, Senior Hunter Guide x6, Colorless Dye x6, Gold Beetle x15,000
Wait till the next Evening (6:00-8:00 PM) (After the Rain)
While tracking this quest, press 
to automatically change the time.
Go to the district where Rainman appears (Rainman’s District)
Continue southeast through the alley.
Check what Bixing is up to (Rainman’s District)
At the end of the alley, turn right and approach Bixing talking to someone. Wait for the conversation to finish.
Talk to Bixing (Bustle)
Interact with Bixing.
In order to progress this quest, you must choose the dialogue option “Sure, I’ll do my best to help.”
Investigate the Residential Area (Patrol Assistance)
Continue southeast down the alley.
At the street, the objective sends you to the right. Instead, cross the street and climb the fence.
Once over the fence, interact with the person on the corner.
Go to the Damp House (Abnormal Humidity)
Head northeast to the street corner.
Examine the Wall (Damp)
Interact with the wall in front of you.
Ask the Nearby Residents (Rising Vapor)
Interact with the man standing next to a bench to your right.
Follow Bixing
Follow Bixing into the alley behind the building opposite the building you were just examining.
Go to the Abandoned Warehouse (Verge of Truth)
Approach the warehouse gate where Bixing stops.
Examine the Warehouse Gate (Investigation Starts)
Interact with the gate.
Find Another Entrance (Find a Way Inside)
Climb the same wall the gate is on.
Examine the Second Floor Door (Slightly Opened Door)
Open the door you find there and step inside.
Investigate the Abandoned Warehouse (Mystery of Rainman)
Go to the opposite corner of the second floor and take the stairs to the first floor.
After the scene, go around the shelf to the right and approach the Rainmen. They head outside when the gate opens.
Nullify Rainmen as they leave the warehouse (5) (Torrential Rain)
Take out the 5 Rainmen in the alley.
