Evolution: Yamask (Galarian) > Runerigus (Yamask takes 49+ damage in a fight, then you must walk under a large stone arch in the Dusty Bowl area)  / Yamask (Non-Galarian) > Cofagrigus (Level 34)
Characteristics: A powerful curse was woven into an ancient painting. After absorbing the spirit of a Yamask, the painting began to move. Never touch its shadowlike body, or you’ll be shown the horrific memories behind the picture carved into it.

Runerigus Location in Pokemon Sword & Shield: You can find Runerigus in the following locations:

  • From evolving Galarian Yamask (Yamask must take 49+ damage during a battle. After the fight, walk under the big stone arch in the middle of Dusty Bowl (Wild Area). You must be in a specific spot to trigger the evolution to Runerigus, see screenshot below for the place).
  • No known locations to catch this Pokemon in the open world.
  • Can be found in 5-Star Raids (Level 55-60) – appears in 5 different Raids total.

  • Special Defense: 105
