This page shows all Gym Leaders in Pokemon Sword & Shield with their used elements and Pokemon. Make sure you prepare ahead of time and level up a Pokemon that is strong against their element! You can also Dynamax a Pokemon for 3 turns during arena battles (the Gym Leader can do the same), which makes the Pokemon grow larger and stronger.

Correction: Leon’s Pokemon are determined by your starter, not your game version. He will always have the starter stronger than yours, and will always have a Pokemon weak to your starter (rhyperior, mr.rime, or one weak to grass)
