Pokemon Sword & Shield How to Get Bike

Like other Pokemon games, you can unlock a Bike in Pokemon Sword & Shield and this guide explains how to get it. Luckily it’s really easy because it’s an automatic story unlock you can’t miss.

How to get Bike:

1. Beat the first Gym Leader in Turffield (grass type).
2. From Turffield head east onto Route 5.
3. Halfway through Route 5 you come to a bridge and a man stops you. He gives you the Rotom Bike.
   

There is no way to get past this man without receiving the Bike from him, it’s unmissable. So don’t worry about it, just advance through the story and the Pokemon Sword & Shield Bike will unlock naturally along the way.

How to Use Bike:

The Rotom Bike is a key item in your inventory, but luckily you don’t need to open your backpack every time you want to use it. Simply press the + button to spawn the bike (works outdoors only).

There’s also a Water Bike upgrade, which you get later on Route 9.
