Introduction

Welcome to the RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army Trophy Guide! RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is a Remake of the PS2 game Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army. The Remake includes lots of Quality-of-Life changes including: waypoints, better fusion mechanics, a quicksave and autosave feature, fast travel, encounters not being forced, a new and revamped battle system, fewer missables, and many more positive changes. The Remake has also added lots more Demons to the Devil Chart, the number of Demons in the game has gone from 71 to 127! Some more new features include 20 Aril Rifts to purge, 45 Case File side quests to complete, and forgable weapons you can make by gathering materials.

Step 1: Beat the game, avoiding Case Files

For your first run of the game, you’ll want to avoid Case Files and grinding too much, since it’s more beneficial to do a completionist run on your second playthrough, as swords don’t carry over to New Game+, and forging all swords on your second playthrough will make beating the final boss on Detective Legend difficulty a lot easier. The reason for avoiding the Case Files is because a lot of the rewards from them are required for Sword Fusion, and you’ll save yourself the hassle of doing every Case File again for your second playthrough.

Your Summoner Rank, Devil Chart, Konnou-Ya Rank, and Shin-Sekai Rank are the only things that will carry over to New Game+. Progress towards trophies will carry over, such as enemies defeated for Peerless Champion trophy or weapons forged for Timeless Summoner trophy. The weapons themselves however will not carry over, so you’ll have to write down which weapons you forged on your previous playthrough.

With that out the way, it’s on to the playthrough! During Episode 1, before heading to Shinoda, be sure to spend all of your Money at Konnou-ya, then Gotou will pay for your streetcar ride, and you’ll earn Shrewd Opportunist trophy.

After Gotou pays for the Streetcar ride, you’ll want to continue through the story, be sure to use Combat Skills and Devil’s Bane often during battle to earn Master of Demons trophy and Legendary Kuzunoha trophy. You’ll also want to be confining any new Demons you see, which will eventually earn you Underworld Savant trophy. Don’t forget to fuse new demons whenever you are running low on tubes.

Once you reach Dark Sakuradayama in Episode 8, throw some money into the shrine to earn Prodigy trophy.

When you reach the final boss in Episode 12, you’ll get a warning message asking if you are prepared. Before fighting the final boss, be sure to sell anything you don’t need, and spend all of your money, as none of your money or items will be carried over into the New Game+.

Beneficial ways to spend your money at the end of the game include:

  • Spending it at Konnou-ya and Shin-Sekai to earn Konnou-ya Habitué trophy and Urban Mystic trophy.
  • Summoning Demons from the Devil Chart to fuse more towards earning Unbound Summoner trophy.
  • Forging Weapons that don’t have any skills that will be useful for defeating the final boss on Detective Legend difficulty. (Balmung and Gae Bolg are good choices as you are only missing out on 2 skills with those. This will also give you some wiggle room for materials on New Game+ as you won’t have to fuse them).

After spending the last of your cash, defeat the final boss and earn Final Episode Complete trophy. You will have earned all other story-related trophies along the way.

Step 2: Start your second cycle, finish up every other trophy before rematching the Final Boss

After beating the game, start from your cleared data save and select any difficulty you want, luckily you won’t have to select Detective Legend difficulty until you are ready to fight the final boss. You only need to switch to Detective Legend for the endboss to pop the trophy, everything else up to that point can be played on easier difficulties.

You’ll want to play through the game again, this time completing all of the Case Files as you go, none of them are missable, so you can do them as soon as they become available, or you can do them all in the Final Episode.

The only thing you’ll need to be careful with and look out for during this playthrough is the missable materials in Episodes 5, 8 and 10. Refer to the Weapons Guide for the location of them all, and make extra sure you’ve picked them up, as you can’t return to those locations.

Once you reach the final boss in Episode 12 where the warning message is, make sure you’ve done everything you can, this includes:

  • Purge all 20 Aril Rifts, earning you Vanquisher of Evil trophy
  • Completing all Case Files, earning you Lightning Blade trophy
  • Forge all Weapons, earning you Timeless Summoner trophy and Dimensional Detective trophy
  • Completing the Devil Chart, earning you Unbound Summoner trophy
  • Raise your summoner rank 30 times, earning you Worldly Summoner trophy

If you are missing any other trophies at this point, such as continuing after a Game Over for Gifted Youth trophy, defeating 1,000 enemies for Peerless Champion trophy or receiving 50 letters for Demon Commander trophy be sure to finish up all of those too before taking on the final challenge.

Step 3: Defeat the final boss on Detective Legend difficulty

At this point, you should have every trophy asides from Sovereign Summoner trophy. This will be your final challenge. You will be at least level 80 by this point, and if you’re on a different difficulty than Detective Legend, be sure to enter the settings and change it to Detective Legend. If you aren’t able to defeat the boss in your current state, consider grinding to level 99, and fusing the Strongest Demons you can.

After defeating the final boss on Detective Legend, you’ll earn Sovereign Summoner trophy and True Devil Summoner trophy.

Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Sovereign Summoner
Complete the game on Detective Legend difficulty.
Gold
You will unlock Detective Legend difficulty after beating the game once on any difficulty. You can change the difficulty at any time. Most importantly, you DON’T need to beat the entire game on this difficulty! Instead all you’ll actually need to do is beat the Final Boss on Detective Legend difficulty. Up to that point you can play on easier difficulties, then just switch to Detective Legend difficulty before the final boss fight and it’ll pop the trophy after.

It’s recommended to be at least level 80 before you attempt this, be sure to bring a strong weapon with some good skills, as well as some Demons who have good resistances and attacks, such as Belial and Asura. Remember to add a skill to resist any element your Demons might be weak to, and be sure to Mitama Fuse them to boost their stats as well. Having lots of healing and MAG restoring items will help out a lot too. Defensive Sword skills such as Resist Phys, Resist Fire/Elec, Resist Ice/Force, Resist Mind/Death, Transcended Being, and Reincarnation are recommended to help with your survivability. For Combat Skills, consider bringing Magnetize to restore your MAG, and Megidolaon to do a lot of damage in a short span of time.

The video below shows the final boss and loadout on Detective Legend difficulty:

Bug Warning: This trophy can be a little buggy and might not pop after you beat the game. The best way to avoid this trophy bugging out is to avoid skipping any of the Cutscenes or Credits after you beat the final boss. If watching the Cutscenes didn’t work, save your next cycle data and load it up, and it should unlock after you enter your name in the tutorial.

Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Shrewd Opportunist
Have Gouto pay the streetcar fare.
Bronze
*MISSABLE*

To get this, you’ll need to take a streetcar ride while lacking the funds to pay for the full cost. This is better to be earned earlier rather than later, since the streetcar rides are pretty cheap, and later on you’ll have much more money. You can easily earn this in Episode 1 by spending all of your money at Konnou-ya before taking the streetcar to Shinoda. If you still aren’t broke after buying as much as you can afford, you can take a streetcar back and forth until you have no money left. If you go for this trophy later on when you have lots of money, you can spend all your money, take the streetcar, then reload your save.

Missable Warning: This is missable if you beat Case File 36, as it grants access to free streetcar rides.

Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Rising Devil Summoner
Enter the Dark Realm for the first time.
Bronze
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. You will earn this when you head to Dark Tsukudo-cho in Episode 1.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Demons’ Terror
Defeat the boss at the bottom level of the Training Hall.
Silver
You will earn this trophy by completing Case File 43, which is unlocked by reaching Episode 12, and completing all the previous Training Hall Case Files. Please see the Case Files Guide for more information on Case File 43.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Prodigy
Leave a money offering at the old shrine.
Bronze
The old shrine can be found in Dark Sakuradayama, which can first be accessed during Episode 8. You can find the Shrine in the Eastern corner, examine it, and choose to offer any amount of money. After doing so, you’ll earn this trophy.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Local Hero
Purge an Aril Rift.
Bronze
Aril Rifts are a feature new to the remaster, they appear in the real world, and entering them will start a battle. Winning the battle will earn you four times the experience and eight times the money. Aril Rifts are unlocked after you beat the Tsuchigumo in Episode 1, and it’s required to purge Aril Rifts for some of the Case Files. Purge any Aril Rift and you’ll unlock this trophy. See Aril Rift Locations.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Vanquisher of Evil
Purge 20 different Aril Rifts.
Bronze
There are 20 Aril Rifts total, so you’ll need to purge all of them to earn this trophy. Refer to the Aril Rift guide for the locations of all of them.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Dark Realm Wunderkind
Win your first battle.
Bronze
You will earn this trophy during the tutorial after completing your very first battle. This trophy is story-related and can’t be missed.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Master of Demons
Perform Raidou’s Combat Skills 300 times.
Silver
Raidou’s Combat skills can be used in battle by pressing :sq: , :tr: , or :x: while holding :r2: . You might earn this naturally if you use combat skills often, but if you don’t, be sure to use them frequently. A good way to earn this is to use each equipped combat skill at the start of battle, you’ll be able to use each one once, without waiting for the cooldown. Different Combat Skills have different cooldowns, so you might want to choose skills with shorter cooldown times.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Legendary Kuzunoha
Defeat enemies with Devil’s Bane 50 times.
Bronze
Devil’s Bane is a strong attack that can steal MAG from enemies. You can activate Devil’s Bane in battle by either dodging with perfect timing, or dealing enough damage to knock the enemy down. When you are prompted to use Devil’s Bane, press :x: and :sq: at the same time to activate it. Use Devi’s Bane 50 times and you’ll earn this trophy.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Peerless Champion
Defeat 1,000 enemies.
Silver
This trophy is straightforward, you’ll earn it for defeating 1,000 enemies in battle across the entire game. This will unlock naturally on your way to earning the Platinum, as you’ll be defeating more than 1,000 enemies, and the total count is carried over multiple playthroughs.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Gifted Youth
Revive from death.
Bronze
This trophy can be misleading, as you don’t have to revive yourself using a sword skill, instead all you have to do is get a Game Over and choose to retry. Keep in mind this can’t be earned on Sleuth difficulty, as it’s impossible to die and get a Game Over on Sleuth. You can earn this easily by swapping to the hardest difficulty you have unlocked, and letting yourself die to a random encounter so you can retry afterwards.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Demon Charmer
Gain a demon ally through the art of confinement.
Silver
This trophy is story-related since you’ll need to confine a demon during the tutorial. See the next trophy Underworld Savant trophy for more information on confinement.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Underworld Savant
Gain 30 demon allies through the art of confinement.
Silver
You can confine a demon in battle by holding :r2: and mashing :circle: . The higher your level is, the easier it will be to confine a demon. Keep in mind that if your level is too low or you don’t have enough MAG, you won’t be able to confine a demon. Confine 30 Demons and you’ll unlock this trophy.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Capital Defender
Perform demon fusion for the first time.
Bronze
Demon Fusion is unlocked after obtaining the Red Wine in Episode 1. You can fuse demons in Goumaden, which is located inside Konnou-ya. You’ll be fusing Demons to earn Renowned Summoner trophyand Unbound Summoner trophy. After fusing your first Demon, you’ll unlock this trophy.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Renowned Summoner
Perform 50 demon fusions.
Bronze
You’ll unlock this while going for Unbound Summoner trophy. Keep on fusing demons in Goumaden and you’ll unlock this after fusing 50 of them.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Demon Commander
Receive 50 letters from demon allies.
Silver
After fusing two demons together in Goumaden, there’s a chance a demon will send you a letter or a gift before leaving to be fused. The chance of a Demon sending a letter is increased if they have a high loyalty ranking, so be sure that one of the demons you fuse has max loyalty so you have a higher chance at obtaining a letter. You can also save before fusing, and reload if you don’t receive a letter, but this won’t be necessary if you are always fusing with max loyalty. Once you receive 50 letters from demons in Goumaden, you’ll unlock this trophy.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Hand of God
Perform Sword Alchemy for the first time.
Bronze
Sword Alchemy is unlocked at the start of Episode 2 in the Goumaden. You will need to forge all weapons to unlock Timeless Summoner trophy. Keep in mind that Forged swords will not be carried over into New Game+ so it might be favorable to either hold off on forging them all until your New Game+ playthrough, or keeping note of which weapons you forged on your previous playthrough.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Silver-Tongued Devil
Gain Beelzebub as a demon ally.
Bronze
Beelzebub can be fused at level 80, once you complete Case File 43. Refer to the Case File Guide or Demon Fusion Guide for more information on gaining Raiho as an ally.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Valiant Hero
Gain Raiho as a demon ally.
Bronze
Raiho is exclusive to New Game+, he can be fused at level 26, once you complete Case File 45. Refer to the Case File Guide or Demon Fusion Guide for more information on gaining Raiho as an ally.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Unbound Summoner
Register all demons in the Devil Chart.
Gold
Excluding DLC, the game contains 122 Demons that you can recruit or fuse, and 5 Legion Demons that you can only acquire via a fusion accident, bringing the total number of Demons on the Devil Chart to 127. Please refer to the Devil Chart Guide for information on how to fuse, and obtain every Demon.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Timeless Summoner
Forge all weapons.
Gold
*MISSABLE*

You can forge weapons in Goumaden, they work like a skill tree, and there’s 9 possible paths you can end with, and on New Game+ 1 new path is unlocked, totalling 10. You don’t have to forge every weapon in a single playthrough to earn this trophy, you can do it over multiple playthroughs, but keep in mind that your weapons won’t carry over so you will need to remember which weapons you fused on your previous playthrough. It is possible to fuse every sword in the game in a single playthrough, as long as you make sure to always end the skill tree on a weapon you haven’t fused yet. For more information, please see the Weapons Guide.

Missable Warning: This trophy is missable if you sell weapons to Konnou-ya, so don’t do that unless it’s a weapon that’s at the end of a skill tree. Materials located in Episodes 5, 8, and 10 are also missable as you can never return to the locations after beating each Episode.

Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Dimensional Detective
Learn all of Raidou’s Combat Skills.
Silver
When forging weapons at Goumaden, you’ll learn either a Combat Skill or a Sword Skill, depending on the weapon you forge. Since forging every weapon in the game is required to earn Timeless Summoner trophy you will earn this trophy along the way.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Konnou-ya Habitué
Obtain the highest discount at Konnou-ya.
Bronze
You can earn the highest discount by spending lots of money at Konnou-ya. The exact amount of money you need to spend to unlock the highest discount is unknown, but it’s estimated to be around 250,000 Yen. The amount you’ve spent will carry over multiple playthroughs so you won’t have to spend 250,000 Yen in a single playthrough. If you are purchasing materials, you’ll earn this while going for Timeless Summoner trophy.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Urban Mystic
Become a recognized regular of Shin-Sekai.
Bronze
You can become a regular by spending money at Shin-Sekai. The exact amount of money you need to spend to become a regular is unknown, but it’s estimated to be just under 40,000 Yen.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Worldly Summoner
Raise your Summoner rank 30 times.
Silver
It takes 25,000 loyalty to earn this trophy. You can view your total loyaly on Raidou’s status screen under Configuration. Loyalty is carried over onto multiple playthroughs, so this doesn’t need to be unlocked in a single playthrough. You earn loyalty by using Demons who don’t yet have their loyalty maxed out. To increase a Demon’s loyalty rank, you’ll need to gift them Sake, or battle while having them in your tubes. Demons can earn Loyalty even when they aren’t participating in battle or summoned. Beware that Sake doesn’t carry over in New Game+ runs, so if you are at the end of the game, you might as well use up the last of your Sake.

The fastest way to earn this is to fill up all of your tubes with low level Demons, and keep farming instant-win encounters on the first floor of the Training Hall until all of their loyalty is maxed out, then release all of the maxed out Demons from your tubes, gather some more low-level Demons and repeat.

Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Taisho Swordsman
Complete a case file.
Bronze
Case files are unlocked after defeating the Tsuchigumo in Episode 1. They are basically the side quests in this game. Completing all of them is required to earn Lightning Blade trophy. See the Case Files Guide for information on how to complete them all.
Raidou Remastered Trophy Guide Lightning Blade
Complete all case files.
There are a total of 45 case files (side quests), you’ll need to complete them all to earn this trophy. Keep in mind, that one of the cases is only available in New Game+, however completed files towards the trophy will carry over into a new playthrough, so if you do 44 case files on playthrough 1, and the New Game+ file on your second playthrough, you’ll still earn this without redoing everything. Please refer to the Case Files Guide for more information.

What difficulty would you recommend for the first playthrough? I know it doesn’t matter, but should it be the easy/story mode where you can’t die or the next difficulty up on the list?

Sleuth up until the very end of Playthrough 2 is best if you want to get the Platinum done as fast as possible.

When you say to avoid case files, do you mean all case files until the second playthrough or just certain files?

We mean all of them, though if you remember which ones you did on a previous playthrough that don’t have any Sword Forging items, you can ignore those. Though it’s suggested to just do them all Playthrough 2 since rewards don’t carry over.

i can confirm (just did it), that ignoring case files in the first cycle is NOT necessary, i did every case file and only did Raiho in NG+ and the trophy popped

that said, you lose the swords (and other stuff) you collected meaning doing less in NG is probably preferable

I think you misread the trophy guide, it never said you have to ignore them. We simply recommend that it’s more efficient to do them all in NG+. You can do them all in NG and again in NG+ if you like. But for time efficiency you CAN skip them on 1st run.

Does anyone know if pressing square to auto kill enemies in the field counts towards the 1000 kill trophy?
