Be Your Own Boss is a Main Mission in Saints Row (2022 Reboot). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Be Your Own Boss story mission.

Requirement: Complete The Peter Principle
Reward: $4,000 Cash, 3,000 XP, Eli’s Ride, RPG Launcher, Call for Backup
Mission Info: (Post mission) You and your friends formed your own criminal empire startup.
Objectives:
- Wallow in your own failure
- Mope to the kitchen
- Find food or whatever
- Toast your lonely waffle
- Oh, just flop on the couch
- Get to the Idols Party
- Rescue Kev and Eli
- Defend Kev and Eli
- Regroup with Kevin and Eli
- Defeat the Collective member
- Defeat enemies
- Protect your friends
- Get in the truck
- Defend the truck
Wallow in your own failure
After the disaster of a job defending the Codex in the prior mission, you’re now jobless at home. You’ll have three quicktime events to get yourself out of bed.
Mope to the kitchen
After getting out of bed, drag yourself out to the kitchen to see Neenah.
Find food or whatever
After speaking with Neenah, open up the fridge to grab your lonely waffle.
Toast your lonely waffle
Take your waffle over to the toaster on the counter to toast it.
You’ll have a couple more quicktimes to perform while attempting the waffle toast.
Oh, just flop on the couch
After your successful waffle toasting, head over to sit with Neenah on the couch.
Get to the Idols Party
You didn’t think you’d mope forever did you? After some scenes, you’ll be heading to the north end of the city to the Idols party to rescue Kevin and Eli.

Rescue Kev and Eli
When you reach the location you can just drive straight in past the roadblock. Inside there will be Idols and Los Panteros attacking each other, take out everyone you see while pushing farther into the venue towards the objective marker.
Defend Kev and Eli
Once you progress towards the dance floor the objective changes to defend, just take out the remaining enemies who will be shooting towards the bar where Kevin and Eli are hiding.
Regroup with Kev and Eli
Once you’ve killed all the enemies, head towards the objective marker to meet Kevin and Eli.
Defeat the Collective Member
After the scene, you’ll be attacked by some more Idols, including a Collective member. This is the first you’ll likely be running into a “boss” type character like this. The main differences between them and just normal armored enemies is that they have a huge amount of armor health, can’t be killed with takedowns, and have a handful of unique abilities. The main one used by Collective members like this one is basically a flashbang of sorts where your screen goes dark and you can only see the neon on enemies.
Other enemies will appear in small waves during the fight, so you can use them to heal, then clear out the current wave and just focus the Collective by themself until they’re dead.
Defeat enemies
When the Collective is defeated, you’ll need to make your way back to the entrance of the venue to escape. Head over by the new truck to the left, that’s where your friends will be heading to.
Protect your friends
You need to kill enemies while waiting for all your friends (mainly Eli who is slow) to get to the truck.
Get in the truck
Once Eli reaches the truck and enters, you can get in the passenger side door.
Defend the truck
Once Neenah starts driving, you can hold 
to get onto the rooftop of the truck. In this section, you have an RPG with unlimited ammo, so you can just shoot constantly at any enemies that chase behind you. Don’t worry about shooting ones to the side of the truck, the explosion damage doesn’t actually damage you or the truck itself.
After the long driving bit there will be another cutscene and the mission will be complete.
