Saints Row The Rod Warrior Walkthrough

The Rod Warrior is a Main Mission in Saints Row (2022 Reboot). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Rod Warrior story mission.

Quest Giver: Eli
Requirement: Complete The Dustmoot, Build CASTLE KRAKEN in the city, Complete all Dustlander beacons for Castle Kraken
Reward: $1,500 Cash, 3,000 XP, Dustlander Shotgun, New Weapon Patterns, New Vehicle Patterns, Bowelrod

Before starting

To be able to start this mission, you first need to place and effectively complete the Castle Kraken Venture that you unlock after completing The Dustmoot, costing $30,000 to place, the same as the initial Ventures. You can place it wherever you want, it won’t really affect the completion requirement or the upcoming missions.

Once it is placed the completion requirement is to destroy 2 Dustlander Beacons in the Badlands area to the west side of the city. These objectives work the same as when you lit the banner in The Dustmoot. Interact with the beacon to light it on fire, then a number of Dustlander enemies appear that you need to defeat. You don’t need to worry about your weapons  when doing these, the game will switch you to the LARPing weapons during the defense period, then switch you back to your normal weapons after.

The Dust Storm beacon can be found just on the edge of the map zones between Badlands North and Badlands South.

The Phoenix beacon can be found in Badlands South, close to a fast travel point if you’ve been through that area before.

After destroying both beacons you can head back to Castle Kraken and speak to the Loremaster again to complete the Venture, then are able to start The Rod Warrior.

Meetheth with Elijah the Wise

Eli has a plan for winning at the Dustmoot, head over to the north side of the city to meet up with him.

Confer with the council

When you arrive, head over and speak with Eli and Neenah.

Travel to the Bowelrod’s lair

Hope in Eli’s car nearby, and start making your way over to the Bowelrod’s lair.

Commune with the Keeper

At the lair, head over and speak with the Keeper out front.

Taketh the keys

Follow the Keeper around the side of the building, then interact with her to acquire the keys after the conversation.

Travel to Fort Phoenix

You’re now going to be obtaining the items to reconstruct the Bowelrow. Follow the objective nearby to reach Fort Phoenix.

Stealth into the camp

You’re given an invisibility potion, which will allow you to enter the camp stealthily. Climb up and go through the marked gap in the fence.

Stealth kill thine enemies

You are “invisibile” as long as you’re holding your hands up, which means no sprinting or meleeing or anything. You need to stealth kill all 7 enemies inside the fort area. To do this you just need to take out all the enemies while others aren’t looking at you. For the first three, start at the enemies furthest east that’s facing towards the other two, and take out each of them in a line.

When they are dealt with you can walk around the back of the building, and take out the solo enemy as you go by. On the other side of the building you want to take out the enemies in the reverse order of the first ones as they’re facing the opposite direction, so go deal with the one up on the wall first, then the two on the ground.

Grabbeth the part

After the enemies are dealt with, you can go over to the chest below where the enemy on the wall was to obtain the first part.

Journey to the warehouse

Head back up the wall where you defeated the enemy and drop down on the other side to reach the ground and head towards the warehouse on the left.

Storm the warehouse

No more stealth needed here, run to the warehouse and take out any Dustlanders that are inside.

Grabbeth the part

When the enemies are defeated, you can grab the next part from the chest on the side of the warehouse.

Confer with the council

Wait in the warehouse while Neenah brings the car over, then you’ll have a short talk about what is occurring next.

Journey to the peak of Fort Phoenix

Head out of the warehouse and start following the path up the hill. There will be more enemies along the path, take them out as they appear.

Grabbeth the part

When all the enemies at the peak are defeated, head behind the building where you can find the chest with the final part.

Wingsuit-eth to the warehouse

Follow the objective up the slope where you can jump off and wingsuit back down.

Bring Neenifer the final part

Interact with Neenah in the garage to give her the final part.

Protect Neenifer

Neenah has to perform a ceremony to bring the Bowelrod to life. There will be groups of enemies that appear from both sides of the garage, you just need to take them out as they appear until Neenah is finished.

Mount thine Bowelrod

After Neenah finishes the ritual, you can now enter and drive it.

Rescue Elijah the Wise

Follow the marker just ahead to where Elijah is surrounded by enemies. You can run into them to defeat them, along with using the ability for the Bowelrod, which gradually damages any enemies that are around the vehicle.

After all enemies are defeated, the mission is complete.

This finishes The Rod Warrior main quest in Saints Row.
