Introduction

Welcome to the Sonic Frontiers Trophy Guide! Worlds collide in Sonic the Hedgehog’s newest adventure. Accelerate to new heights and experience the thrill of high-velocity open-zone freedom. Battle powerful enemies as you speed through the Starfall Islands. This trophy list is quite easy, most of the trophies are either story trophies or stuff that you need to collect. Everything is marked on the map and you can filter for the things you are looking for, but you need to complete Challenges to fully reveal the map on each Island. Those challenges are quite easy and you need to complete them anyway for trophies. You can get everything on your first playthrough.

Step 1: Finish Story + Do Challenges + View Side Stories + Defeat all Guardian types

While going through the story, it is recommended to fully reveal the Island you are on first. To do this you need to complete challenges. Challenges can be found all over each Island and are marked on the Map with a Red Question mark. You will get to the first Challenge on Kronos Island automatically through the story at the beginning of the game. On all other Islands, you need to find the first challenge by yourself, but after you completed the first challenge, you can open up the map and find at least one more Challenge. Also, on each Island, except Kronos Island, you can’t do all challenges from the beginning. For some challenges, you need to progress with the story. While doing the Challenges you should kill every enemy you come across for :bronze: Easy Prey. Doing this reduces the clean-up after the story. If you encounter a starfall while doing Challenges, collect every star until the event is over. Doing this will give you a lot of fishing points. Fishing is needed for various trophies and also reduces the grind for different collectibles because Fishing grants you Tokens. With these Tokens you can buy some of the collectibles like Red & Blue seeds, Koco, Portal Gear, Chaos Emerald Vault Keys & Memory Token.

Step 2: Clean up

If you still need anything after the story, you can visit every Island and do what you have left.

A starfall is a mini-game, sort of. A roulette will appear on the screen. If you get the same picture three times of whatever is on there you will get fishing points. To let the roulette roll as long as possible, collect the stars that are dropping constantly. They will also reappear in the same location you collected them. Collect as much as you can because the event lasts only 2 Minutes. Other locations can be next to Challenge M-062 on Chaos Island or near the Yellow Chaos Emerald on Ouranos Island.

Sonic Frontiers Trophy Guide Perfect Run
Completed all Missions in one Cyber Space area.
Sonic Frontiers Trophy Guide
Cyber Space areas are short levels that play similar to traditional Sonic stages.  The missions in each Cyber Space area are the same:

  • Reach the goal
  • Clear with Rank S time
  • Clear with XX Rings
  • Find all five Red Star Ring

You don’t need to complete them all in one run. You can replay a Cyber Space area at any time to get the remaining missions done. If you completed one Mission, you don’t have to do it again on a second run. Cyber Space areas are found on each island and can be entered through portals. You will land in the first Cyber Space area right after you start the game and after the introduction cutscene. But for every other portal, you will need Portal Gear to unlock the portal. Portal Gear is dropped by enemies, can be found randomly on the map, or can be bought at a fishing spot.

Sonic Frontiers Trophy Guide Superior Ranking
Achieved Rank S time, for the first time in a Cyber Space area.
Sonic Frontiers Trophy Guide
You will land in a Cyber Space area right after you start the game and after the introduction cutscene. To get Rank S in the first Cyber Space area 1-1, you need to finish it in 43 Seconds or less. The key here is to use the speed boost with :r2: / :rt: all the time and also use the speed plates during the course. You don’t need to collect the five red rings or all normal rings to get an S Rank. If you don’t get an S rank at the end you can retry it before continuing with the game. You also can pause the game during the course and retry the area as much as you want.
Sonic Frontiers Trophy Guide Big Encounter
Completed the fishing tutorial.
Sonic Frontiers Trophy Guide

Sonic Frontiers Trophy Guide Ticket to Tranquility
Earned 100 Purple Coins.
Sonic Frontiers Trophy Guide
Purple coins are needed for fishing at a fishing spot. You can find them on all islands randomly. You can also get 100+ coins during one starfall. See :bronze: Celestial Rain for more information.
Sonic Frontiers Trophy Guide Angler’s Club
Landed all catches at one fishing spot.
Sonic Frontiers Trophy Guide
There is a fishing spot on each island. At a fishing spot and for each catch, you need to pay purple coins. You can find purple coins randomly on each island, or you can get them during a starfall. See :bronze: Celestial Rain for more information. Apart from fish, you can catch chests, signs, and other stuff. You will need to catch every item at one fishing spot for this trophy. The cheapest fishing spot is on Kronos Island because one catch costs only 1 purple coin and there is a total of 32 items to catch on this spot. The good thing is you will catch a new item every time, so you don’t need more than 32 purple coins on the Kronos Island fishing spot.

So no need to do all cyber spaces level at S rank? But just one for the trophies?

Exactly, you only need S rank time in only one area.

The tip to use Phantom Rush in Aura’s legs doesn’t work, they don’t take damage unless you cyloop them, and after that it’s one shot.

You don’t need to damage them. You should get a combo when you just spam square on the legs. That is how it worked for me. When the phantom rush is active, just let it run out and spam square again.

I noticed it says that there is no save transfer. But at the main menu, it shows the option “Carry over from PlayStation 4.” So is there actually no autopop platinum?

It does indeed, I played it pre-release and I didn’t saw this option. But now it is there. It pops all trophies except the two final boss-related trophies. You have to do the final boss fight again for these.

Is there a good farming spot to get Kocos fast? I’m close to beating the game and don’t have much trophies left other than the upgrade ones. I bought as many Kocos as I can from each zone and they’re all sold out now. I need like another 25 levels to hit lvl 99 speed, but it seems to be a drag finding random Kocos that just spawn randomly whenever they feel like it lol.

You kinda of only need to 99 points between the Speed or Rings attributes, then go to one of the elders (i forget their names, but one gives an option) and choose trade rings for speed or the other way around.

On Ouranous Island you should still be able to get Koco. I got all skills maxed out and can still buy koco on Ouranous Island.

Ah I didn’t know Big offered unlimited Kucos in the final zone and I just found that out now. I thought he was going to sell out like in the first 3 zones, but you can buy unlimited of them in the last zone. Thank God for that haha.

How do you defeat those flying enemies on Chaos Island? The white flying ones, shooting lasers. Can’t do nothing, can’t deflect shot?

    What should I do?

I did the hacking minigame on the third island without speaking to Tails first. Some says it could prevent you to get 100% for that island. Is that true? Can somebody confirm? I really don’t want to restart the game

It should be worth noting a few other things. You can only increase your ring capacity and speed one level at a time. It takes forever. You can gets Kocos infinitely from the Ouranus Island fishing spot. They sell out at the other spots from what I have seen. And it is easy to have the max amount of 999 purple coins if you get even reasonably lucky with the slots that appear during a starfall. I had 60 in Speed and 40 in Ring Capacity and used the Hermit to make out one then the other, but this is still done one level at a time. I would suggest saving beforehand so you don’t have to go through that whole process from level 1 up to 99. It really sucks. They should let you decide how many levels you want to increase each one by.

2/10 difficulty if you are using a glitch to skipping pinball flipper.

If you not this game deserve 9/10 or even 10/10 because of how random this part was…

I’ve just platinumed the game on PS4, loaded the save onto PS5 expecting to have to replay the final boss, and was awarded the platinum immediately so it looks like this has been patched in the years since this guide was typed.
