Starfield How to Install ComSpike Module & Conduction Grid

In Starfield during Crimson Fleet Faction Mission “Eye of the Storm”, you get the objective to “Install both the ComSpike Module and the Conduction Grid Module”. This is one of the more confusing objectives in the game as it’s one of the few times you must use the shipbuilder menu, and these parts aren’t particularly marked.

Here’s how you do it:

1. When getting this objective you will be on “The Key” (Crimson Fleet space ship). Track the objective and it should mark a woman called Jasmine Durand, you will already have talked to her when accepting the objective. Talk to her again and pick the dialogues “Mind Helping Me with my Ship?” > “I’d like to view and modify my ships”. Alternatively, you can talk to any other ship technician in the game.
   
2. This will open up the Ship Modification Menu. Click “Ship Builder” (bottom right).
   
3. Click “Equipment” (top right), it will show the two parts “Conduction Grid” & “ComSpike” for a cost of $0.
   
4. Click one of these parts, then click the marked installation slots on your ship. Repeat this for the other part.
   
5. Close the Ship Customization Menu and click “Accept” to save the changes. The objective will now complete.
   

After this you can proceed to the next objective.
