In The Crew 2 you may have noticed that other boats are driving much faster than yours while you are way behind and losing every boat race.
What the game doesn’t tell you is that you must pull down the left stick to make your boat drive faster.
If you want to win you must constantly hold the left stick down. It’s a bit annoying but that’s the only way to be fast enough.
If you don’t push the left stick at all then the boat will drive at medium speed. If you pull the left stick up then the boat will drive at slowest speed.
Of course also use Nitrous to speed up.

The left stick controls the trim of the boat or in other words, lifts the bow of the boat to allow it to skim the waves better.
