Introduction

Welcome to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide (2025 PS5 Remaster)! This new remastered version comes with modernized graphics on PS5, Xbox Series S/X and PC. It’s the first time the game receives trophies on PlayStation, as the PS3 version didn’t feature any. The trophies are the same as the original Xbox 360 achievements. The main story can be rushed in 10-15 hours and the trophy-related side content in 20 hours even if you haven’t played the game before. You only need to do the questlines of the Arena, Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, Mages Guild, Fighters Guild, and main story. The Remaster also includes the Shivering Isles DLC which isn’t needed for platinum and is contained in its own DLC list. The questlines can be played in any order you like, they are all available immediately when you reach the open world.

Step 1: Finish the 5 Guild Questlines

At the start of the game you can create your character. You can choose a Race, and throughout the tutorial you can select a Birthsign and Class. What you pick doesn’t impact trophies.

After finishing the Prologue (after exiting the sewers dungeon), you immediately have access to all 5 Guild Questlines. Each of them unlocks multiple trophies. It’s recommended to start with the Arena questline because it’s very fast to do (under 1 hour) and gives over 5,000 gold as well as good starting gear. Then do the other 4 questlines in any order you like. Plan in 20 hours for all questlines. Every objective will be marked on the map when tracking the quest in the journal.

  1. trophy Pit Dog, Arena – Arena Questline
  2. trophy Murderer, Dark Brotherhood – Dark Brotherhood Questline
  3. trophy Pickpocket, Thieves Guild – Thieves Questline
  4. trophy Associate, Mages Guild – Mages Questline
  5. trophy Associate, Fighters Guild – Fighters Questline

Time-Savers:

  • Speedrun Class – If playing on Novice difficulty, optimize your character for speedrunning: Race = Khajiit / Birthsign = The Steed / Class = Scout. Wear very light armor, keep your inventory load below weight limit, keep your weapon sheathed. This makes you run significantly faster. On Novice your combat stats don’t matter since you’re pretty much invincible in combat, have autoheal, and everything dies in 1-3 hits. Because you will do a lot of running around towns, the faster movement speed is the biggest time-saver overall. At the end of the prologue you get another chance to respec your character (when exiting sewers). On level-ups invest skill points in Endurance, Agility, Speed.
  • Fast Travel – You can fast travel to all towns/districts from the start. No need to walk/ride long distances. Click the green & blue icons on the map to fast travel, but it only works when not inside buildings. The full map is unfogged from the start.
  • Map Zoom – If you need to find specific building names you can fully zoom into town districts by holding :r2: , this shows all shops etc. Specific building names will be mentioned in the trophy descriptions.
  • Free Horse – Can get free horse in the starting town “Imperial City” > “Chestnut Handy Stables” (use fast travel to blue map icon). Enter the stable house, talk to “Snak gra-Bura”, pick the dialogue that you will take any horse, you’ll get a fully armored horse for free.
  • Bug Fixes – Most gameplay bugs are fixed by rebooting the game. For example, quest markers glitch out or you run into invisible walls. If this happens try rebooting the game and exit/re-enter the area. If NPCs don’t spawn try advancing time (press Touchpad) as they move around throughout the day.

Step 2: Finish the Story

After you’re done with all 5 Guild Questlines all you have left for Platinum is the main story. You can speedrun it in around 10-15 hours.

Step 3: Shivering Isles DLC

Clean up the 10 trophies of the Shivering Isles DLC. These aren’t needed for Platinum but are for 100% completion.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Escaped the Imperial Sewers
Escaped the Imperial Sewers, Main Quest Beginning
Bronze
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. This will be the first trophy you earn in the game, after escaping the prison and sewers area, during Main Quest: Deliver the Amulet.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Closed an Oblivion Gate
Closed an Oblivion Gate, Main Quest
Bronze
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks during Main Quest: Breaking the Siege of Kvatch.

Everything in this questline is marked by waypoints, so just follow the markers on the compass at the top of the screen and use fast travel between towns. Sometimes the waypoints can glitch out, in which case a game reboot will fix it.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Located the Shrine of Dagon
Located the Shrine of Dagon, Main Quest
Bronze
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks after Main Quest: The Path of Dawn.

During the quest you will collect 4 books called “Mythic Dawn Commentaries”. Then bring them to Tar-Meena in the Imperial City Arcane University. Here the quest gets a bit confusing because it lacks waypoints. First you give the books to Tar-Meena, then you must wait at least 24 hours and talk to her again in the “Mystic Archives” building of the Arcane University, where you talked to her before. If she doesn’t appear skip time in 1-hour increments until she’s there (usually at day). She gives you a hint that the first word of each book’s paragraph leads to the location of the Shrine of Dagon, it then gets marked automatically by a map marker after talking to Tar-Meena, leads to Imperial City > Tomb of Prince Camarril.

Here the objective is confusing again. You have to interact with the tomb specifically between 11:50AM – 12:30PM. The trophy pops as soon as you interact with it.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Delivered Daedric Artifact
Delivered Daedric Artifact, Main Quest
Bronze
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks after Main Quest: Blood of the Daedra.

This questline again has some confusing sections. First you go to the ritual in a cave, here you must steal the book on the altar (can kill everyone afterward, if you left your equipment at the door you can loot it from the cultist who led you to the ritual). After escaping with the book and bringing it to Martin, you will get the “Spies” quest. You will have to kill two spies Saveri Faram & Jearl. After killing Jearl (in Bruma > Jearl’s House), loot the body for the basement key. Then inside Jearl’s House use the trap door on the floor, this section is a bit confusing because the waypoint only leads you into the house but doesn’t mark the trap door. In Jearl’s Basement you must loot the scroll “Jearl’s Orders”, then from the Basement enter the door to Bruma Cavern. From here you just need to follow the waypoints again to return to Cloud Ruler Temple, talk to Jauffre and Martin and read the book on Martin’s desk.

This triggers the quest “Blood of Daedra” with a waypoint leading to Azura’s Shrine. You must activate the Shrine at Dusk (early morning), around 6AM works. You must use 1 Glow Dust to activate the shrine, which you can loot from the golden-glowing Will-o-the-Wisp found on the path directly in front of the shrine (looks like a golden spark hovering above the ground). Then the shrine talks to you and gives you the Azura quest. Track the quest, you must kill all vampires in Gutted Mine (will all be marked), to reach the last 2 vampires you must activate a movable Rock Wall by pulling a string to the left of it. Afterward go back to Azura’s Shrine to get the Daedric Artifact “Azura’s Star”. Return it to Martin to finish the Blood of the Daedra quest and pop the trophy.

Note: there are a total of 15 Daedric Artifacts in the game, bringing Martin any one of them will finish the quest. The “Azura’s Star” is simply what the main questline marks for you and will suffice to advance the main story.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Destroyed the Great Gate
Destroyed the Great Gate, Main Quest
Silver
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks after Main Quest: Great Gate.

After the previous trophy, you will first get the Main Quest “Bruma Gate”.

Bruma Gate:

Follow the waypoint to Captain Burd at the Oblivion Gate. Tell him to follow you and enter the glowing gate. Inside the gate you don’t have waypoints (the waypoint will be on Captain Burd). The layout is the same as the first Oblivion Gate earlier in the story. Always go up until you reach the very top, and have Captain Burd follow you the entire time. In the Rending Halls you have to activate the Blood Fountain (opens a gate), then you can go further upstairs. At the very top you must activate the Sigil Stone to close the gate. The rest of the quest has waypoints (talk to Captain Burd, report back to Cloud Ruler Temple).

Then you get two main quests at the same time: Allies for Bruma & Blood of the Divines.

Allies for Bruma (OPTIONAL):

This quest is optional and can be skipped! (Continue at “Blood of the Divines” if you want to save time). This is one of the longest quests in the game, requires you to fast travel to every town, talk to the marked NPC and close the Oblivion Gates. If you do it, you get some extra soldiers for the “Defense of Bruma” quest. If you skip it, you will have fewer soldiers to help you, but on Novice difficulty it won’t matter. You can save 90-120 minutes by skipping this quest.

  • Chorrol Oblivion Gate: First you must talk to the countess in Chorrol, then enter the Oblivion Gate outside Chorrol. Use the levers at the top of the small towers to open the war gates. Once the gates are open you can enter either “Hurricane” or “Earthquake” tower, go halfway up one of these towers to reach the middle floor of the main tower in the middle. This floor has 3 doors, you must go through the middle door to Rending Halls. Then keep going upstairs to the very top and activate the Sigil Stone to close the gate.
  • Cheydinhal Oblivion Gate: First you must talk to the count in Cheydinhal. Then approach the Oblivion Gate outside Cheydinhal, a guard will stop you and gives the sub-quest “The Wayward Knight”. Track this quest to see the waypoints. You will have to go towards the Citadel and speak to Farwil on the bridge (don’t kill him!). Then enter the door to “The Bowels” opposite the bridge. Circle around the cave and exit out to the quest marker, then the gates on the bridge are open and Farwil gets attacked by enemies, defend him (don’t kill him!). Now you can go across the bridge and enter the stronghold. From here you just need to follow the red waypoints all the way to the top of the Stronghold and activate the Sigil Stone, there are markers every step of the way.
  • Bravil Oblivion Gate: First you must talk to the count in Bravil, then enter the Oblivion Gate outside Bravil. After entering, there will be a big closed gate in front of you, but you can simply jump around the right side of the gate over the lava. Then enter the main tower and reach the top to close the gate. Always take the paths leading further up.
  • Leyawiin Oblivion Gate: First you must talk to the count in Leyawiin, then enter the Oblivion Gate outside Leyawiin. The main tower will be in front of you. If you play on Novice and have sufficient health there is an easy shortcut: go straight ahead, jump/swim through the lava, go up to the main tower, jump over the right side of the locked War Gate (if you have sufficient Agility), then enter the main tower and activate the Sigil Stone at the top. If this path doesn’t work for you, you can go through the Nether Tunnels on the left of the starting island to get past the lava lake. If you can’t jump over the side of the War Gate you must go through either of the two Spindle Shrines (entrance marked when zooming in on map with :r2: ) and use the lever on top to open the gate.
  • Skingrad Oblivion Gate: First you must talk to the count in Skingrad, then enter the Oblivion Gate outside Skingrad. The count is sometimes locked inside his room and doesn’t come out, in which case you must lockpick the very hard door to his private chambers. Once inside the Oblivion Gate, the main tower is surrounded by lava and unreachable – you must pull the lever on top of the two side towers to extend the bridge to the main tower. Enter the tower on the left (The Sorrow Keep) and go all the way up (floor called “The Sorrow Shrine”), there you find a lever “Geared Batten”, activate it. After this leave the door from “The Sorrow Shrine” floor to “Wastes of Oblivion” (door is in the middle of the floor, marked on map). The bridge will now extend to the Anguish Tower, go up and pull the lever there to release the bridges to the main tower. Now go halfway down the Anguish Tower, from one of the round rooms “The Anguish Keep” you can exit to “Wastes of Oblivion” which puts you on the extended bridge to the main tower. In the main tower reach the top and activate the Sigil Stone to close the Oblivion Gate.
  • Anvil Oblivion Gate: First you must talk to the countess in Anvil, then enter the Oblivion Gate outside Anvil. After entering the gate you will see the main tower in front of you. You can either jump up the mountain if you have sufficient Agility skill, or go through the multiple caves around the tower, each leading higher up. In the main tower reach the top and use the Sigil Stone to shut the gate. Near the top you must step into a portal on the floor to reach the upper level of the tower.
  • Kvatch: In Kvatch Castle Great Hall talk to Savlian Matius, he offers his men immediately. There’s no Oblivion Gate remaining here as you already closed it earlier in the story.

Blood of the Divines:

Talk to Martin and Jauffre in Cloud Ruler Temple. Then you get a quest marker to Sancre Tor dungeon, north of Chorrol. You must then complete this dungeon, it contains lots of ghosts so be sure to bring silver weapons (silver sword, silver dagger etc) to damage them. Follow the linear path until a ghost talks to you. Then you get waypoints that guide you through the dungeon. Each waypoint leads to one “cursed Blade” skeleton, all 3 are inside this dungeon. Defeat all of them. Afterward the quest marker might bug out – you need to backtrack to the central chamber of the Sancre Tor dungeon called “Sancre Tor, Entry Hall”, it’s a round room with green-lit stones on the side. In this room go downstairs through the gate to “Tor, Tomb of the Remnant Emperors”. This leads to the Shrine of Tiber Septim but the entrance is sealed by a magic wall. You have to wait for Ghost of Valdemar to arrive, if he’s still in a different part of the dungeon you can go to him and walk with him, it will take a couple minutes because he walks very slow. Once Valdemar has arrived, all 4 ghosts will kneel down and the magic wall opens. Then you can walk through to collect the Armor of Tiber Septim. Take it back to Martin at Cloud Ruler Temple.

Miscarcand:

Martin wants you to find the third item needed for the ritual. You must get it from the Miscarcand dungeon between Kvatch and Skingrad. You are supposed to find the Great Welkynd Stone. Follow the markers through the dungeon until you reach a locked Iron Gate, it requires finding a switch. Follow the path to the right of the gate to find a switch on a wall you can push, then the gate opens. In the next room (Sel Vanua) follow the path forward on the left to the next waypoint, which leads to another locked gate. The switch is in the corridor opposite the locked gate. Now you can enter the next room (Morimath), the waypoint here leads to the Great Welkynd Stone. Return to Martin at Cloud Ruler Temple.

Defense of Bruma:

This starts when finishing the previous quest. Then you must talk to the Bruma countess about the battle plans. Follow the countess into the Chapel of Talos, talk again to begin the battle. Follow the waypoint to the Oblivion Gate outside Bruma. Wait for your allies to arrive and defend Martin until the Great Gate opens (this takes around 5 minutes real time). Then enter the Great Gate in the middle. This starts the next quest.

Great Gate:

Unlike previous Oblivion Gates this one is timed, you must finish it within 15 minutes before the great siege engine reaches the exit. The main tower will be straight in front of you. Take the path straight ahead where the siege engine is, while going over the rocks on the side to avoid the lava. If you have sufficient agility you can climb the cliffs straight to the main tower and skip past the War Gates. If not, you must go to the furthest tower on either the left or right and reach the top floor to lift the switch for the War Gate to the main tower. Either way, once you are in the main tower you just need to reach the very top and use the Sigil Stone. Then you automatically get a loading screen and this trophy unlocks! To finish the quest talk to Martin.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Champion of Cyrodiil
Completed the Main Questline
Gold
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks after finishing the main story.

After the previous trophy you only have 3 quests left “Paradise”, “Light the Dragonfires”, “Imperial Dragon Armor”.

Paradise:

Follow Martin to Cloud Ruler Temple. It’s a slow walk, takes around 10 minutes (it’s best to avoid talking to Martin because it can make him glitch and then he goes in the wrong direction). After he goes back inside the temple and puts on a mage’s robe you can talk to him. He will perform the ritual and you can enter the portal to Paradise. You must find Mankar Camoran, kill him and recover the Amulet of Kings. Follow the paved path all the way to the end. An NPC Kathutet will talk to you, quickest method is to pick the dialogue “I choose battle”, then kill him and loot the Bands of the Chosen from his body. Then enter the door to the Flooded Grotto right behind where you met Kathutet (should be marked now). Inside just follow the waypoint to the Forbidden Grotto Door. It will say there are no apparent means to open it. You must equip the “Bands of the Chosen” from your inventory in the armor section. Then you can enter the Forbidden Grotto. An NPC “Eldamil” will talk to you, he offers his help, don’t kill him. You need him to take off your Bands of the Chosen to leave the final Grotto door back to Paradise. You can’t unequip them yourself while in the Grotto. Eldamil will either disguise you as a prisoner to get past a gate, or you can kill the guard Orthe and loot his key to advance. In next cave section Eldamil talks to you again and takes off your Bands (doesn’t matter if you accept or deny his help here, the bands get taken off either way). Then you can exit the Grotto to Paradise. Follow the path uphill until you reach Ruma Camoran (NPC in red robe), follow him into Carac Agaialor. Inside talk to Mankar Camoran, then everyone turns hostile. Kill and loot Mankar Camoran for Amulet of Kings. Head towards the exit and you’ll be teleported back to your world. Give Martin the Amulet to start the next quest.

Light the Dragonfires:

Fast travel to Imperial City, enter the Elder Council Chambers. Wait a minute for Martin to walk in, then talk to High Chancellor Ocato. Defend from the attackers and escort Martin to Temple District. There, you encounter a giant boss monster called “Mehrunes Dagon”. Have Martin follow you and enter Temple of the One, next to the big boss monster. Talk to Martin inside, then he will transform and defeats the enemies automatically.

The trophy unlocks during the cutscene after the boss fight.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Murderer, Dark Brotherhood
Joined the Dark Brotherhood
Bronze
To join the Dark Brotherhood you must kill one non-hostile NPC, then sleep in a bed. When you kill a non-hostile NPC for the first time it will say in the top left corner “your killing has been observed by forces unknown”. You can rent beds at hotels, for example in Imperial City > Talos Plaza District > The Tiber Septim Hotel (costs 40 Gold, can do Arena questline for quick money).

After sleeping for at least 1 hour, Lucien Lachance will appear. Regardless of what dialogues you pick he gives you the quest “A Knife in the Dark”. He wants you to kill a man named Rufio at the Inn of Ill Omen. Track the quest from the Journal and it will get a waypoint marker on the map. Upon entering the Inn of Ill Omen turn left and interact with the trap door on the floor to go downstairs, then enter the last room on the left to find Rufio. Kill him and sleep to trigger another talk with Lucien Lachance (you can rent a bed or sleep in Rufio’s bed).

The trophy unlocks immediately after this talk with Lucien. The next questmarker will automatically appear on the map in Cheydinhal, see the next trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Slayer, Dark Brotherhood
Reached Slayer rank in the Dark Brotherhood
Bronze
See the above trophy :bronze: Murderer, Dark Brotherhood for how to join this faction.

Afterward continue to track the quest “A Knife in the Dark” via the journal. Go to the quest marker in Cheydinhal (town in north-east corner of map). You can fast travel there by clicking the green city district icon on the map, even if you haven’t been there before.

At the quest marker interact with the “Boarded Up Door to Abandoned House”, lockpick the door and enter (requires lockpicks, click :x: when the pin hits the top of the lock). Inside go to the basement and through the cellar, interact with the red door and pick “Sanguine, my Brother”.

Talk to Ocheeva inside, then go downstairs to talk to Vicente Valtieri, ask him about the “Contract” and accept it. He wants you to kill a pirate on a ship. This gives the next quest “A Watery Grave”. The rest of the Dark Brotherhood’s quests are all about assassinating NPCs. Just keep tracking their quests, the waypoints are marked for everything, you can fast travel everywhere. Completing the bonus requirements isn’t needed for anything, so feel free to kill all targets however you see fit. After each quest return to Vicente at Chedinhal – East Gate through the Abandoned Building to accept the next contract.

To reach Slayer Rank you must finish his 2 quests:

  • A Watery Grave – simply enter the captain’s cabin on the marked pirate ship and kill the captain and his crew.
  • Accidents Happen – if you want to keep it simple just enter the marked house and kill the NPCs inside. The proper way of doing it is to come at night between 8PM – 11PM, go to the second floor and interact with the wall to enter the crawlspace and loosen the mounted head so it falls onto the victim, escape without being noticed. Doesn’t matter how you do it.

After completing both quests and returning to Vicente Valtieri this trophy unlocks.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Eliminator, Dark Brotherhood
Reached Eliminator rank in the Dark Brotherhood
Bronze
Continue accepting contracts from Vicente Valtieri, after the following 2 quests you get this trophy:

  • Scheduled for Execution – kill Valen Dreth in Imperial Prisoner Sewer (bonus if you do it without killing guards). After entering the sewer take the right path and through the gate, in next room walk through sewage water, on the other side lockpick the average difficulty gate (can use auto-attempt and reload save until it works if you have trouble doing it manually). Go through the room with slaughterfish and upstairs to the ladder that exits to The Sanctum (another average difficulty lock). The Sanctum is a bit of a maze, just keep following the objective marker on the compass at the top of the screen (if the marker glitches out re-enter the area or untrack/retrack the quest). If you want the bonus reward you must sneak stealthily to avoid the guards, but this is optional. Eventually you reach the prison where the game started and find Valen Dreth locked in his cell. In the hallway to the left of his cell you can find the cell door key on the table to let him out, then kill him. You can also grab the Imperial Prison key at the end of the hallway and use it on the door upstairs to get out. If you killed guards or stole things, you must be stopped and arrested by the guard upstairs, in which case you can simply sleep in the prison bed until you’re released.
  • The Assassinated Man – go to Chorrol > North Gate > Francois Motierre’s House (hard difficulty lock). Inside talk to Francois Motierre. From inventory equip the weapon “Languorwine Blade”. Wait for the assassin to enter through the front door. When they start talking to each other, slice Francois with the blade. It will look like you killed him. The assassin “Hides-His-Heart” will turn hostile, but DON’T KILL HIM! Exit the house and leave the town (guards might run after you, ignore them, just leave the city gate). Once you’re at a safe distance press Touchpad to rest for 24 hours to allow time for Francoi’s “corpse” to be put on display at the Undercroft, the quest marker will update. Go to Chorrol South Gate > Chapel of Stendarr > Chapel Undercroft (downstairs) > talk to Francois. Some zombies will spawn, defeat them and escort Francois across town to the Grey Mare inn. There talk to Francois, he will bid you farewell. Return to Vicente in the Dark Brotherhood’s hideout to pop the trophy. He also gives you the key to use the ladder as a shortcut to enter/exit the hideout. He also offers to turn you into a vampire but for now you can refuse him so you can still decide later if you want to do this.

Note: if you fail The Assassinated Man, you will get this trophy after the next quest “The Lonely Wanderer” (it’s not missable).

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Assassin, Dark Brotherhood
Reached Assassin rank in the Dark Brotherhood
Bronze
The next quests will be given by Ocheeva. She should be marked automatically, if not you can track “My Brother’s Keeper” which marks her. She gives the following quests:

  • The Lonely Wanderer – This quest is a little confusing because it only gives an initial marker but doesn’t tell you exactly where to go. You must find Faelian, he’s in Imperial City > Imperial City Elven Gardens District > Lorkmir’s House (can zoom in on the map with :r2: to view house names). It has a hard lock. Once inside, wait in the main hall where you enter and skip time in 1-hour increments until Faelian spawns, for me he spawned at 11AM (walk around the house a bit until he comes through the door). Then kill him. The location is below (the quest marker points to Imperial City Market District but he stays in this house at day). Return to Ocheeva after.

  • Bad Medicine – Go to Fort Sutch in the far west of the map, will be marked when tracking the quest. You can’t fast travel if you haven’t been there before, but can travel to Anvil to shorten the way. In the tower ruins drop down and enter the door. If you want the bonus you’d need to complete the entire section in stealth without being seen or heard, but stealth-killing guards is fine. For the sake of quest completion it’s okay to be seen and kill the target by any means necessary. In the first section there’s one guard, kill him and use the lever to the left of the gate to open it. Go straight ahead over the bridge, turn left, then immediately turn right again and enter the tunnel in front of you that leads upstairs to Roderick’s living area. If you’ve been seen you can simply cut him down.
  • Whodunit? – Go to Skingrad > Skingrad – East Gate > talk to Fafnir. Enter Summitmist Manor and slaughter everyone inside. Loot the bodies for a bunch of gold.
  • Permanent Retirement – Kill Adamus Phillida in Leyawiin, he will be marked. You can simply rush in and slaughter him, loot his corpse for his ring and keys, leave town and fast travel away (alternatively, shoot him with the magic arrow while he swims in the lake between 3PM – 8PM). If you want the bonus you have to stop by Imperial City Prison and use the looted key on door to Imperial Legion Office, come at night when nobody’s there (2AM works), lockpick the desk > :r3: search > move “Finger of Adamus Phillida” from your inventory to the desk.

Trophy unlocks as soon as you return to Ocheeva.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Silencer, Dark Brotherhood
Reached Silencer rank in the Dark Brotherhood
Bronze
After the previous trophy, you get the quest “Of Secret and Shadow” that requires talking to Ocheeva again. She gives you a letter from Lucien Lechance who recruited you. Go to Inventory > Miscellaneous > Orders From Lucien Lachance. This marks the next objective at Fort Farragut, slightly northeast of Cheydinhal.

Once you arrive, there is a shortcut in the hollow tree north-west of the tower ruins. This leads straight to Lucien so you don’t need to lockpick doors along the way. He tells you traitors infiltrated the order and you must kill everyone inside the Brotherhood’s hideout, he calls this the “Purification”.

Go back to the hideout, and kill everyone inside it by any means necessary. Loot the bodies for keys and valuables. Some members might be roaming outside elsewhere and will be marked (e.g. Telaendril may get marked in Leyawiin).

Afterward return to Lucien in Fort Farragut. Trophy unlocks when talking to him. From now on you will get contracts through dead drop locations.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Speaker, Dark Brotherhood
Reached Speaker rank in the Dark Brotherhood
Silver
After the previous trophy, track the quest “The Dead Drop” to continue the questline. You will have to visit a new dead drop location for each contract, which will be marked on the map.

  • The Dead Drop – Go to Hero Hill 300 meters south of Fort Farragut. Interact with the Hollowed-Out Rock where the quest marker is to retrieve the order. This starts the next quest.
  • Affairs of a Wizard – Go to Leafrot Cave. It’s a remote cave at Panther River, there aren’t any major towns near it. You can travel to Leyawiin and ride up the road northeast of it (get a fast horse if you haven’t already). When you arrive, enter the wooden door at the cave entrance. In the first “room” of the cave turn left to find a book on the table “The Path of Transcendence”, read it. Then in the same area lockpick the average difficulty door where the waypoint marker is, enter the next cave section and drop down the hole. There you find the mage Celedaen, kill him and backtrack to the cave exit. Fast travel to Chorrol North Gate, interact with the green bush beneath the oak tree in the town square to start the next quest.
  • Next of Kin – Started automatically when handing in the previous quest at the dead drop. You need to kill all members of the Draconis family. Go to Applewatch Farm west of Bruma, enter the farmhouse. Kill Perennia Draconis, from her body loot/read “Draconis Gift List”, this adds the markers for all other 4 family members. You can kill these in any order, they move around a little bit depending on time of day: Matthias in Imperial City / Andreas in Drunken Dragon Inn (northeast of Leyawiin) / Sibylla in Muck Valley Cavern (east of Imperial City) / Caelia in Leyawiin. Afterward travel to Castle Skingard Courtyard and find the deadrop in the stone well.
  • Broken Vows – Started automatically when handing in the previous quest at the dead drop. Go to Bruma East Gate > J’Ghata’s House. Go downstairs, behind the stairs under some Folded Cloths is a hidden Trap Door on the floor. Interact with it to find J’Ghasta. This will be easier after midnight when he’s asleep, but he’s also there at day. The next dead drop is at “Old Bridge” south of Imperial City, interact with the box below the bridge.
  • Final Justice – Started automatically when handing in the previous quest at the dead drop. Go to the Flooded Mine north of Bravil. Inside, you need to dive through the cave, keep heading in the direction of the quest marker and you’ll reach your target Shaleez. Backtrack the same way you came. Next dead drop is at Fort Redman (northeast of Leyawiin). Interact with the coffin downstairs in the fort. This contains an extra document “Alval Uvani’s Schedule”, pick this up too for the next quest.
  • A Matter of Honor – Started automatically when handing in the previous quest at the dead drop. From the last dead drop pick up “Alval Uvani’s Schedule”, read it from the inventory. Travel to Skingrad – West Gate > West Weald Inn. Alval will be in the inn, skip time until you get him alone upstairs, if you kill him stealthily in one hit nobody will notice. Afterward, the next dead drop is in Imperial City Market District, interact with the hollow tree-stump behind Stonewall Shields shop. For me the quest marker glitched out, but if you keep zooming in on the map with :r2: you can see the building names and the quest marker will appear on the map, it’s in the south-west section of Market District in a little garden.
  • The Coldest Sleep – Started automatically when handing in the previous quest at the dead drop. Go to Gnoll Mountain (east of Bruma). Near the top of the mountain you find a small camp with your target Havilstein Hoar-Blood. To get up there, take the snowy mountain slope from the north side of the mountain. Where the “M” of “Mountains” is on the map head south and up the long slope where there are no rocks. The path is outlined on the image below.

Afterward the dead drop is in Nornal (south of Muck Valley Cavern). Enter the Stone Door into Nornal, once inside go downstairs until you can swim in water where the quest marker is. You must lockpick an Average difficulty door underwater to reach the sunken chest with the next dead drop.
  • A Kiss Before Dying – Started automatically when handing in the previous quest at the dead drop. Go to Bravil, between 6:00PM – 1:00AM. Wait near the marked statue “Lucky Old Lady” until an archer in green robes appears. He’s your target called “Ungolim”, kill him. Immediately after, Lucien Lachance will appear and talks to you. Pick whatever dialogue you want, after this you get the next quest.
  • Following a Lead – The next dead drop is in Anvil Main Gate > interact with the barrel behind the big mermaid statue at the pond. If it’s empty you must pass 24 hours, then the barrel contains Dead Drop Order #8. You will also find a guy called Enilroth standing next to it, who has been sent to switch out the dead drop orders. Talk to him to update the quest marker (can also loot him for 500 gold). Then go to Anvil Lighthouse > Ulfgar Fog-Eye’s House > go upstairs in the lighthouse until you reach the top. Talk to Ulfgar on the lighthouse, he gives you the cellar key. Leave the lighthouse, use the key on the west side of the lighthouse (outside) to enter the cellar. Inside the cellar, lockpick the door (average difficulty), behind it read the “Traitor’s Diary”. Now fast travel to Applewatch and enter the house. There you meet the Black Hand members who promote you to Speaker rank. Trophy unlocks after the talk with Arquen. Continue at the next trophy.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Listener, Dark Brotherhood
Completed the Dark Brotherhood Questline
Silver
After the previous trophy, talk to Arquen in Applewatch farm between midnight to 3:00AM. Pick the dialogue “Night Mother” > “Yes. Let’s Go”. This starts the final quest “Honor Thy Mother”.

  • Honor Thy Mother – You and the Black Hand members will automatically spawn at The Lucky Lady statue in Bravil. They perform a ritual that opens a secret hatch entrance on the statue. Go inside to meet the Night Mother. Then Mathieu Bellamont goes rogue and attacks you, kill him. Talk to the Night Mother, after this the trophy unlocks and the Dark Brotherhood Questline is complete!
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Pit Dog, Arena
Joined the Arena in the Imperial City
Bronze
You can join the Arena immediately after reaching the open world (after exiting the sewers in the prologue). It’s in the Imperial City where you arrive after exiting the sewers, in the middle of the map.

Go to Imperial City > Imperial City Arena. You can enter this district through the “Green Emperor Way” in the middle of Imperial City. At the arena entrance you find an NPC called “Hundolin”, to the left of him go downstairs and enter the wooden door to “Arena Bloodworks”. There you find a bunch of NPCs training. Talk to the NPC called “Owyn” standing in the corner and select the dialogue “I want to be a combatant” to pop this trophy.

Afterward you can go through the Arena questline which consists of winning several fights. Arena fights only start at daytime. At night there are no fights going on. You can advance time by pressing Touchpad if necessary.

You can pick up a sword “Iron Claymore” and Armor “Light/Heavy Arena Raiment” next to Owyn. Make sure you equip these from the inventory, otherwise he won’t let you engage in fights. Then talk to Owyn, select the dialogue “Ready for a Match”. Now the gate in the Arena Bloodworks opens and you can enter the fight pit. Defeat the opponent, return to Owyn, rinse and repeat. You increase in rank and earn a trophy every 3 fights.

If you put the difficulty on “Novice” it will be extremely easy as you take practically no damage and enemies die in just 1-2 heavy attacks. To adjust the difficulty press Options-Button > Settings > Gameplay > Difficulty level = Novice.

He’s called “Agronak gro-Malog” (The Gray Prince), he’s the Grand Champion. Pick the dialogue “Yes, I wish to challenge you”.

Then talk to the woman Ysabel Andronicus who sits opposite of Owyn. Pick the dialogue “Ready for a Match”.

Enter the arena and defeat the Gray Prince. Unlike other arena fights, you can loot his equipment afterward. This gives you pretty good gear early in the game. Return to Ysabel and select your reward (Light or Heavy Raiment of Valor). The trophy unlocks after that and the Arena questline is done.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Pickpocket, Thieves Guild
Joined the Thieves Guild
Bronze
There are multiple ways to join the Thieves Guild but here is the easiest: First, you must get arrested and serve a jail sentence for stealing, then the Thieves Guild will automatically approach you. Simply steal items or pickpocket someone. Let a guard catch you and agree to go to jail (don’t resist arrest). You will spawn in the jail cell, interact with the bed on the floor to serve out your sentence.

After you’re out of jail, walk around town for a while. After a while, A blue-colored woman called “Myvryna Arano” will automatically approach you and gives you a note. In the top left corner it will say “1 Mysterious Note added to the player’s inventory” and you get the quest “Finding the Thieves Guild”.

In the journal hover over this quest and press :square: to read the note for more details, then track the quest. It will add a waypoint marker in Imperial City Waterfront (can fast travel to it by clicking the green icon on map). You have to go there at MIDNIGHT. At day nobody will be there. It leads to a garden behind a shed, 3 NPCs will appear there. Talk to Armand Christophe, say “Mysterious Note” > “Join the Thieves Guild”.

He gives the quest “May the Best Thief Win”. Track it from the journal to see waypoints on the map. The first waypoint leads to a beggar “Puny Ancus” who sleeps right there where you accept the quest. Talk to him about “Amantius Allectus” > “Here’s five coins” > unlocks the next waypoint in Temple District.

Fast travel to Temple District and enter Amantius Allectus’ house (easy lock).

If you haven’t lockpicked before, you must press :x: when the pin hits the top of the lock, or use the :square: auto attempt option until it opens. You can buy lockpicks from Armand Christophe. Then quickly loot the desk on the right before the other thief gets to it. Fast travel back to the Waterfront to hand in the quest – trophy unlocked.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Footpad, Thieves Guild
Reached Footpad rank in the Thieves Guild
Bronze
After being initiated into the Thieves Guild, talk to the previous quest giver Armand Christophe and pick “Thieves Guild Jobs” and “Thieves Guild special jobs”. He will explain that you must first fence 50 gold worth of items to Ongar before you get the next quest. This will start a new quest “Independent Thievery”. Track it from the journal, it adds a waypoint in Bruma > Bruma East Gate > Olav’s Tap and Tack.

Now steal any items and sell them to Ongar, pick the “Bartering” option below his dialogues. You have to sell stolen items specifically for it to count. After fencing a total of 50 gold worth of items, you can now start the next quest.

Untaxing the Poor – After fencing a total of 50 gold worth of items, return to Armand and talk to him about “Thieves Guild special jobs” > “Sure. I’ll do it”. You’ll need to steal back the Waterfront Tax Records. Go to Imperial City > Imperial City Temple District > Wooden Door to South Watch Tower, then wait until 12PM so that most of the guards are gone. Go up the ladder to the Southeast Watch Barracks twice. You’ll then need to lockpick an Easy lock to get to the Captain’s Quarters. Once inside, you’ll then need to lockpick the desk on your right, which has an Average lock. The barracks is also a great spot to steal some armor which you can then fence to unlock the future quests. After stealing what you need, return to Armand. Completing this quest will promote you to Footpad, unlocking the trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Bandit, Thieves Guild
Reached Bandit rank in the Thieves Guild
Bronze
After reaching the rank of Footpad, you’ll then need to fence another 50 gold, bringing your total up to 100 in order to unlock the next quest.

The Elven Maiden – After fencing a total of 100 gold worth of items, return to Armand and talk to him about “Thieves Guild special jobs” > “I’ll take it”. You’ll have to steal a bust of Llathasa Indarys. Go to Cheydinhal > Cheydinhal – West Gate. Talk to either Luckless Lucina or Bruccius the Orphan. Ask either of them about “Bust of Llathasa Indarys > Hmmm. 15 coins seems right”.

Afterward, follow your objective through the door to “The Great Chapel of Arkay”. Go down the stairs and lockpick the door to “Chapel Undercroft” (average lock). Once inside, try to sneak past the guard who will be roaming the area. Killing the guard will make it so you have to pay a blood fee. Head towards your objective and pick up the bust near the tomb. You can also loot the tomb itself as well, just be warned the spirit of Llathasa will spawn afterward, which will make the guard come running so you’ll need to run away.

After stealing the bust, return to the Imperial City Waterfront to find it overrun with Imperial Watch and Armand gone. Go to sleep at the bed where you found Puny Ancus earlier. Once you wake up, Methredhel will wake you up. Talk to her about “Where is Armand Christophe? > What do I do with the bust? > So who is the informant? > How?”. You’ll then need to go to Myvryna Arano’s House, which should be right next to you. Wait until around midnight, then lockpick her door, which is an average lock. Once inside, interact with the cupboard to the right of the bed to plant the bust. Go back outside and talk to Hieronymus Lex. Go down to the persuading tab and either bribe him or do the persuading minigame until you reach 70 points and then talk to him about “Bust of Llathasa Indarys > Myvryna Arano has it. > It’s in her cupboard”. Afterwards, follow him and watch the chaos unfold.

With all that done, you can now return to Armand at midnight. Completing the quest will promote you to Bandit, unlocking the trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Prowler, Thieves Guild
Reached Prowler rank in the Thieves Guild
Bronze
After reaching the rank of Bandit you’ll unlock a new fence, Dar Jee in Leyawiin. Unlike Ongar, he likes to roam around the city so it might be a bit harder to pin him down. Tracking the Independent Thievery quest will mark him on your compass however. You’ll need to fence another 100 gold, bringing your total up to 200 in order to start the next quest.

Ahdarji’s Heirloom – After fencing a total of 200 gold, talk to Armand about “Thieves Guild special jobs” and he’ll refer you to a new handler in Bravil > Door to the Lonely Suitor Lodge. Once inside, talk to S’Krivva and talk to her about “Thieves Guild special jobs > I’ll help out this poor widow. Go to Leyawiin and talk to Rancid Ra’dirsha about “Ahdarji > No more than five coins”. Afterwards, follow your quest marker and talk to Ahdarji about “Ahdarji’s stolen ring. > The guild frowns on killing”. Then talk to either Rancid Ra’dirsha again or Deeh the Scalawag about “Amusei > I can spare 10 gold coins”. Follow your objective to the Castle Leyawiin County Hall > Castle Leyawiin Dungeon. Once inside, talk to the Leyawiin Jailor about “Amusei > Not even for 20 gold coins?” and he’ll unlock the door, letting you go see Amusei. Once inside, talk to Amusei about “Ahdarji’s rIng > What if I give you a lockpick? > Here, take this lockpick”. Head back outside and talk to either Rancid Ra’dirasha or Deeh the Scalawag again about “Recovered Caro family ring. > I can spare 10 gold coins. > What secrets?”. Wait until 8PM and follow your objective to talk to Hildara Mothril. Go down to the persuading tab and either bribe her or do the persuading minigame until you reach 70 points and then talk to her about “Recovered Caro family right and Dark secrets in castle Leyawiin”. Wait until midnight, then follow your objective to Castle Leyawiin County Hall > Castle Leyawiin Basement. Interact with the lever inside the barrel near the very obvious door cut out at the end of the room, then lockpick the Easy door to the Secret Room, then lockpick the other Easy door leading to the Lords’ Manor Private Quarters. Follow your objective, lockpicking the 2 Very Easy doors in your way until you reach Alessia’s Room and lockpick the Jewelry Box to the right of her bed and take Ahdarji’s Ring. Exit back outside and follow your objective and talk to Ahdarji and talk to her about “Ahdarji’s stolen ring > Here is your ring”. Afterwards, go back to Bravil and talk to S’Krivva about “Ahdarji’s stolen ring”.

Completing the quest will promote you to Prowler, unlocking the trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Cat Burglar, Thieves Guild

Go to the Imperial City and talk to any of the marked beggars and ask “Methredhel > About 15 gold coins”. Follow your objective to Dynari Amnis’ House. Talk to Methredhel and talk to her about “Waterfront Invasion > What is your plan? > I will help”. Wait until 1AM and then follow your objective to the Arch-Mage’s Lobby > Arch-Mage’s Tower Council Chambers > Arch-Mage’s Quarters. Once inside, pick up the staff off the drawers and then interact with the nightstand to the left of the bed. This area is also a great spot to steal some items to be able to fence more gold. Once you’re done, go back to Dynan Amnis’ House. Talk to Methredhel about “Hrormir’s Icestaff > Yes. Here it is. > What do we do while we wait?”. Go to the Imperial City Waterfront and approach Hieronymus Lex (he won’t be marked – he stands at the houses in the west of Waterfront district, the guy in gold-white armor):

A cutscene will play out and once it’s done, pick up the note he dropped on the ground. Afterwards, return to Dynan Amnis’ House. Talk to Methredhel about “Hieronymus Lex > Then you pay me?”. Follow your objective to Ontus Vanin’s House and lockpick the Average lock on his door. Go upstairs and lockpick the Easy lock leading to Ontus Vanin’s Private Quarters. Once inside, interact with Ontus Vanin’s Chest to plant the staff. Once you’re finished, return to S’Krivva in Bravil and talk to her about “Hieronymus Lex”. Completing the quest will promote you to Cat Burglar.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Shadowfoot, Thieves Guild
Reached Shadowfoot rank in the Thieves Guild
Bronze
After reaching the rank of Cat Burglar you’ll unlock a new fence, Luciana Galena in Bravil. You can find her in The Lonely Suitors Lodge, the same place you can frequently find S’Krivva. You’ll need to fence another 100 gold, bringing your total up to 400 in order to start the next quest.

Lost Histories – After fencing a total of 400 gold, talk to S’Krivva about “Thieves Guild special jobs > Sounds interesting. I’ll do it”. Go to Skingrad and talk to either Nigidius the Needy or Foul Fagus and ask them about “Theranis > Would it be these 20 coins? > How can I get in to see him?”. Once you’re done, follow your objective to Castle Skingrad Courtyard > Castle Skingrad Dungeon. Talk to the Skingrad Jailor and talk to him about “Work in Castle Skingrad”. Follow your objective to the Skingrad County Hall. Talk to Shum gro-Yarug about “Work in Castle Skingrad > Yes, I’ll take the job”. Return to the Skingrad Castle Dungeon and talk to the Skingrad Jailor again and talk to him about “Open the door. I’m the slop drudge.”. After he unlocks the door, go inside and talk to Larthjar the Laggard about “Yes, I’ll rescue you > Theranis > The Pale Lady > Where does she take them?”. After the conversation, go to the end of the hall and interact with the strange candle to open a secret doorway and end the Castle Skingrad Wine Cellar. Interact with the handle to get out of the secret passage. Go down the stairs to where all the wine is stored, which is a great place to steal items to fence to unlock more quests later. Afterwards, go to the large wine barrel on the right side of the room and interact with the strange candle to open another secret door on the center barrel. Go inside and kill the Pale Lady, as there is no blood fee for killing her. You can then interact with Theranis’ corpse and talk to Amusei about “Lost Histories of Tamerial”. You’ll then need to try and sneak out of the castle. Follow your objective through the dining hall, being careful not to get caught. If you do get caught, resist arrest and make a break for it. DO NOT kill anyone when trying to escape, or else you’ll need to pay the blood fee later. Once you’re outside and away from the guards, wait 1 hour and Amusei should start talking to you. Ask him about “Lost Histories of Tamriel”. If you ended up getting a bounty, you’ll first want to pay it off at either Armand or S’Krivva before continuing. Go back to Skingrad and follow your objective to find the Lost Histories of Tamriel hidden in a bush. You can then return to Bravil and talk to S’Krivva and talk to her about “Theranis, no. Go to Anvil and talk to either of the marker NPCs and ask them about “Dairihill’s Office”. Go to Anvil Castle > Anvil Castle Dining Hall and talk to Orrin. Follow him to a secret passage. Afterwards, head back outside into Anvil and talk to either of the marked NPCs and ask them about “Master forger > Here’s 15 gold coins”. Wait until 8PM and then follow your objective to the Stranger and ask him about “Forge this letter”. Afterwards, make sure you have 500 gold then go outside and wait 24 hours. Talk to the Stranger again and ask him about “Forged Letter > Here is your fee”. Go to the Imperial City Prison and wait until 12PM, then lockpick the very hard Imperial Legion Offices door. Once inside, use the Imperial Legion Seal on the desk. Return to Anvil Castle and wait until 12PM. Talk to Countess Millona Umbranox and ask her about “New Guard Captain”. Go to the Imperial City and talk to Hieronymus Lex about “New Guard Captain”. With that done, return to S’Krivva in Bravil and ask her about “Hieronymus Lex reassigned”. Completing the quest will promote you to Shadowfoot.

Once you reach the end of the area, pick up Savilla’s Stone off the altar. After leaving the area, go back to Bruma and talk to the Gray Fox about “Savilla’s Stone > Here is the Stone”.

After completing Turning a Blind Eye, you’ll then need to fence another 100 gold, bringing your total up to 700 in order to start the next quest.

Arrow of Extrication – After fencing a total of 700 gold, wait around in Imperial City (while outside buildings) until Amusei contacts you. Skip time in 24-hour increments until he talks to you. Ask him about “What is the message? > You joined the Thieves Guild?”. Go to Chorrol > Malintus Ancrus’ House and talk to the Gray Fox about “I’m Listening > Sound’s lucrative. I’ll do it”. Go to Bravil and talk to either of the marked NPCs and ask them about “Fathis Aren.” Go into Castle Bravil and enter the Lord’s Manor North Wing at around 8AM and then go into Fathis Aren’s room on the left. After looting both locked chests and realizing the item isn’t there, interact with the pillar on the right on the opposite side of the room from the door you came from to reveal a secret passage, then go inside. Feel free to kill any enemies you encounter in this area. Once you reach the area with the water, you’ll find a spot where it goes deeper and you can go under the water. Go underwater and hug the wall on the left, just under the first rock you have to go around (don’t swim all the way down), there will be a passageway for you to go through. Continue following the path and you’ll eventually reach Bravil Wizard’s Lair, which you’ll need to lockpick a Hard lock to enter. Keep following the objective, feel free to kill anyone on your way until you reach another hard lockpick door leading to Fathis Aren’s Tower. Once inside, feel free to kill anyone and go up the stairs into Fathis Aren’s laboratory and open the chest. Take the Key-Shaped Arrowhead inside. Go back to Chorrol and talk to the Gray Fox about “Arrow of Extrication > I only have the arrow’s head”. Completing the quest will also promote you to Master Thief, unlocking the trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Guildmaster, Thieves Guild
Completed the Thieves Guild Questline
Silver
MISSABLE WARNING: During “The Ultimate Heist” you have to successfully steal the Elder Scroll from the Blind Monks. If you fail, the questline won’t complete. Keep regular Manual Saves throughout the final quest, then nothing can go wrong.

After reaching the rank of Master Thief you’ll unlock a new fence, Fathis Ules in the Imperial City. He roams around a bit, so if you need help finding him you can track the Independent Thievery quest to mark him on your compass. You’ll need to fence another 100 gold, bringing your total up to 800 in order to start the next quest.

Boots of the Springheel Jak – After fencing a total of 800 gold, wait around in Imperial City (outside buildings) until Amusei contacts you (skip time in 24-hour increments until he spawns). Ask him about “What is the message?”. Go to Cheydinhal > Ganredhel’s House and talk to the Gray Fox about “I am eager to hear your plan. > I am ready”. Go to the Imperial City and talk to any of marked NPCs about “Finding Jakben, Earl of Imbel. > Here. 10 gold coins, on me”. Follow your objective to Jakben Imbel’s house. Wait until 12AM and then lockpick the Hard door to enter. Go upstairs to Jakben Imbel’s Private Quarters and go through the trapdoor up the stairs with the same name, but is locked with an Average lock. Once inside, lockpick the Average locked desk and take the Imbel Geneology to find out it’s not useful at all. Jakben will eventually come home and when he does, talk to him about “Springhell Jak’s Tomb > Just answer my question!”. He’ll then give you the Imbel Family Crypt Key. Go into Jakben Imbel’s Basement and use the key on the locked door leading to the Catacombs. Once inside, you’re free to kill whatever you find without paying the blood fee. After going through the last door and looting Springheel Jak’s Coffin, take the Diary of Springheel Jak, which will tell you that Jakben has the boots. Jakben will also conveniently come down to attempt to kill you after looting the coffin, so you can kill him without punishment and take the Boots of Springheel Jak off his corpse. With the boots in hand, return to Cheydinhal and talk to the Gray Fox about “Boots of Springheel Jak > Here are the boots”.

After completing Boots of the Springheel Jak, you’ll then need to fence another 200 gold, bringing your total up to 1000 in order to start the next quest.

The Ultimate Heist – After fencing a total of 1000 gold, wait around outside in Imperial City until Amusei contacts you (can skip time in 24-hour increments until he automatically talks to you). Ask him about “What is the message?”. Go to Imperial City Elven Gardens District > Othrelos’ House and talk to the Gray Fox about “The last heist? > How much is the buyer paying? > Glorious! When do we start? > What is the plan? > Where is the actual entrance? > What is this “Old Way?” > Is that all you know? > How did you manage that? > I can’t remember all of this!”.

With all that done, equip the Boots of Springheel Jak and go to the Imperial City Palace > Elder Council Chambers > Palace Basement. Sneak to the other side of the room and activate the Glass of Time, being careful not to get caught. If you do get caught however, the blood fee has been waived for this entire quest, so feel free to kill anyone who gets in your way. Once you’re done, go to Imperial City Arboretum > Grate to The South East Tunnel > Beneath the Bloodworks. From this point, you’ll want to follow your objective through several different areas until you reach The Lost Catacombs. From this point on, you’ll encounter some Ghost enemies that will drop ectoplasm when killed. You’ll want to keep 5 of these for Drunk and Disorderly Fighters Guild Quest if you haven’t completed that already.

Keep following the path there and you’ll eventually come across a large open room. With the Boots of Springheel Jak equipped, look to your left and jump up the broken staircase and activate the blocks on both sides of the balcony to open the iron gate. Go past where the iron gate was and go through the door to the Hall of Epochs. Once in the room, go up to the right balcony and lockpick the hard locked gate. Press the block on the left and then continue following the opened area to go through to the Hall of Epochs again. At the end of this area, you’ll find another block to push. After pushing it, return to the main hall to find the walls moved. For this next step you need to have a bow. If you do not have a bow, a skeleton should have spawned with the enemies that were behind the lowered walls that was holding a bow. With a bow in hand, go into the center platform and stand on the pressure plate. You’ll need to aim the Arrow of Extrication as the center of the statue’s chest that rotates towards you. It’s recommended to make a manual save here in case you miss and cannot find the arrow again afterwards. Once you land the arrow, go through to the newly opened door to the Imperial Guard Quarters. Make sure to be stealthy here so you don’t alert the numerous guards in the area. Then go up to the Elder Scrolls Library. Quietly follow the next guard until you reach the next Elder Scrolls Library door and lockpick the Average lock to get inside. Once in the room, you can freely move around again but do not talk to anyone or you’ll be caught. Activate the switch near the Blind Monk, then enter the room. Sit down in the reading chair and they’ll bring the Elder Scroll straight to you. It’s important you obtain the Elder Scroll here! If you were caught by the monks and leave without the Scroll, the quest won’t complete and you don’t get the trophy (DON’T kill/talk to the monks and DON’T run upstairs until they gave you the Elder Scroll). Take the Elder Scroll, then sneak upstairs very carefully as they may be blind, but their hearing is really good. Lockpick the Hard door leading to the Elder Scrolls Library upstairs. Try to sneak past the guards, but if you can’t, make a break for the objective to keep going up until you get to the top floor. Enter the first door on your left and go through the grate back into the Old Way. From here you’ll be backtracking through the sewers from earlier. Follow your objective until you’ve exited back outside and were caught by the guards earlier, all the guards will start chasing you. You’ll want to either get arrested (you won’t lose the Elder Scroll, but you’ll lose some skill levels and anything else you’ve stolen), or escape and pay off your bounty. Armand is the easiest to get to as you can swim to the waterfront from safety to quickly pay it off. Once that’s done, return to the Gray Fox and talk to him about “So what happens now?”. Go to Anvil Castle and talk to Millona Umbranox about “The Stranger’s Ring > Take it. It’s a gift from a stranger > What is different?”. After the conversation, you’ll unlock the trophy. The quest still goes on however, so if you want to finish it, equip the Gray Cowl of Nocturnal and go to Imperial City Waterfront > Dareloth’s Basement. Entering the building will complete the quest, finishing off the Thieves Guild.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Associate, Mages Guild
Joined the Mages Guild
Bronze
Simply talk to any recruiter at any of the Mages Guild Halls, pick the dialogue “Join the Mages Guild” and confirm. Come at day, after 11AM will work fine. At night the NPCs are asleep. You can press Touchpad to pass time.

For example: Chorrol > Chorrol South Gate > Mages Guild. You can fast travel to this district without having visited it before, simply click the green district icon on the map.

Joining the Mages Guild triggers their first quest “Join the Mages Guild”. Track it from the journal, see the next trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Apprentice, Mages Guild
Reached Apprentice rank in the Mages Guild
Bronze
You earn this trophy after completing the “Join the Mages Guild” quest. There is a total of 7 recommendation quests you need to complete to finish this quest. To start a recommendation quest you need to talk to NPCs across different Mage’s Guild Halls, then open the Journal and double-tap :square: on the recommendation quest to track it, which puts a marker on the map. Everything will be marked.

  1. Anvil Recommendation – Talk to Carahil, she wants you to find a murderer. Go to Brina Cross Inn, talk to the NPC, go upstairs to the bedroom, wait for Arielle to talk to you and sleep in the bed till next day. Then leave the inn and follow the quest marker along The Gold Coast road to talk to Caminalda, defeat her. Report back to the quest giver in Anvil Mages Guild.
  2. Bravil Recommendation – Talk to Kud-Ei, exhaust all dialogues with her including “Varon Vamori” (need to scroll down the dialogue list) > “Mage’s Staff”. Then track the quest, the marker points you to Varon Varmori in Bravil. You have to use the spell scroll on him that Kud-Ei gave you: open Magic menu > Target tab > Beguile (Illusion Spell) > :x: Equip > use it with :r1: on Varon. He will glow green afterward, then talk to him about Ardaline > Mage’s Staff -> this updates the quest marker. Return to quest giver, exhaust all dialogues. Then go to Imperial City, Talos Plaza District > Soris Arenim’s House (hold :r2: on map to fully zoom in and see house names). Depending on time of day you will find Soris and his wife inside the house. However, he refuses to give you the Mage’s staff. Go upstairs in his house and lockpick the door to Soris Private Quarters (easy lock), loot the desk for Soris Arenim’s Key. Then go back downstairs and open the door to the basement using the key. In the basement there’s a Drawer in the middle of the storage room, use the key to open it and loot the Mage’s Staff from it. Return to the quest giver in Bravil to finish the quest.
  3. Bruma Recommendation – Talk to Jeanne Frasoric about “Recommendation” > “J’skar”. Then talk to Volanaro in the Bruma Mage’s Guild about “J’skar” > “Prank”. Go upstairs in the Guild building, lockpick the desk (very easy) and loot “Manual of Spellcraft”. Bring it back downstairs to Volanaro, ask again about “Prank”. Now skip time to between 10PM-11PM (press Touchpad) and wait for Volanaro to move to the living quarter of the Mage’s Guild, downstairs. Enter this room and talk to him again about “J’skar”. He will cast a spell to summon J’skar. Exhaust the dialogues, then report back to Jeanne to complete the quest.
  4. Cheydinhal Recommendation – Talk to Falcar about “Recommendation”, he wants you to find a ring. Then talk to Deetsan in the Cheydinhal Mage’s Guild, but make sure Falcar is not nearby. If Falcar is nearby, then Deetsan says she’s not comfortable talking to you (because she’s scared of Falcar). You can try exiting the building and skip time until Deetsan moves to a different area in the guild hall and Falcar moves away. Then she gives you a well key. Exit the guild hall and use the key on the well behind the building, it will be marked. In the well you will swim underwater. Swim to the right side where you find a corpse on the ground, loot it for “Ring of Burden” – it weighs 150 pounds and will slow you down. You will swim very slowly if the inventory goes overweight, leave the well quickly before you drown. Report back to Deetsan, then enter the basement and lockpick the drawer (easy), loot the Black Soul Gems. Talk to Deetsan again to finish the quest. You can drop the key from the inventory to not be over-encumbered anymore.
  5. Chorrol Recommendation – Talk to Teekeeus about “Recommendation” > “Earana”, he wants you to find a book. Track the recommendation quest, talk to Earana in Chorrol and say “Yes, I’m interested”. Talk to Teekeeus again about “Fingers of the Mountain”. Then go to the “Cloud Top” mountain, north-west of Chorrol (will be marked), there loot the Charred Remains for the book “Fingers of the Mountain”. Return the book to either Earana or Teekeeus, doesn’t matter who you give it to. Giving it to Teekeeus ends the quest immediately, giving it to Earana gives a follow-up quest, must skip 24 hours in-game time and return to her the next day for the reward.
  6. Leyawiin Recommendation – Talk to Dagail and say “Yes, I’ll help”, she wants you to find an amulet. Track the recommendation quest, talk to Agata in the same guild building about the Seer’s Stone. Also talk to Kalthar about the Seer’s Stone, he should be in the same building. Report back to Agata about the Seer’s Stone. Talk to Dagail. Now you must leave the building, go to Fort Blueblood to the east of Leyawiin (will be marked). Enter the fort, follow the waypoints until you reach a Marauder Warlord in golden armor. Loot his key to open the gate behind him, this leads to Manduin’s Coffin. Loot it for “Manduin’s Amulet”. Kalthar will automatically appear here but turns hostile on you. Defeat him, loot his key to reopen the door, return to Dagail to finish the quest.
  7. Skingrad Recommendation – Talk to Adrienne Berene in the Skingrad Mage’s Guild, she wants you to find Erthor. Track the quest and exhaust the dialogues with the other mages in the guild hall. Then talk to Adrienne again. Leave the building and go to Bleak Flats Cave (north of Skingrad). Inside the cave kill all enemies and talk to Erthor at the end of the cave, he will be marked. If he says he won’t move a muscle until all creatures are gone, you missed one probably in a side tunnel – recheck all tunnels for zombies and talk to him again. When done, you can say “Okay, follow me”. Escort him out of the cave. Once outside, you can fast travel back to the guild and he will spawn alongside you (no need to walk all the way). Talk to Adrienne to finish the quest.

After getting all recommendations, you need to go to the Arcane University in Imperial City and talk to Raminus Polus about the Recommendations. Trophy pops after finishing the conversation.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Journeyman, Mages Guild
Reached Journeyman rank in the Mages Guild
Bronze
To reach the “Journeyman” rank, you need to finish “A Mage’s Staff” quest.

A Mage’s Staff – To get this quest, talk to Raminus Polus inside the Arcane University. Talk to him and select -> Tasks. This activates the quest. You now need to investigate the Wellspring Cave. This is located to the east of the Imperial City. Right when you enter it, defeat the enemy in front of you. After that, you will find Zahrasha’s body on the ground. Search it to get the Wellspring Cave Key.

Pass through the cave and defeat all enemies you come across. At the end of the cave, exit through the door which you can open with the Wellspring Cave Key. Outside you will be attacked by Noveni Othran; defeat him and the other mages. Now search for Eletta’s body on the ground. She is on the ground where the fight started against Noveni. Just interact with the body.

After defeating all enemies and interacting with the body you will get a message to return to Raminus. Before you do that, interact with the Stone Chest and take the Unfinished Staff out.

Return to the Arcane University and talk to Raminus and select -> Necromancers. After that, talk to Delmar, who is right behind the University inside his house.

Select “Mage’s Staff” -> “Yes.” -> Any of the three options -> Any option -> Any option. Now progress 24 in-game hours and talk to Delmar again and select “Mage’s Staff”. You can now take out the staff from the cupboard.

Return to Raminus inside the Arcane University and select ->”Advancement”. This unlocks the trophy.

Ulterior Motives – To get this quest, talk to Raminus Polus inside the Arcane University. Talk to him about “Tasks”. This activates the quest. Travel to Castle Skingrad, talk to Mercator Hosidus. Skip 24 hours in-game time and talk to him again. He now wants to meet you at 2AM right outside of Skingrad. It was a trap, and you have to defeat him and his two friends. Afterward Janus Hassildor talks to you. During this conversation, select any option you want. Now, get back to the Arcane University and talk to Raminus again. Select -> Janus Hassildor.

After that select ->”Advancement” to unlock the trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Conjurer, Mages Guild
Reached Conjurer rank in the Mages Guild
Bronze
After the previous trophy, to reach the “Conjurer” rank, you need to finish the “Vahtacen’s Secret” quest.

Vahtacen’s Secret – To get this quest, talk to Raminus Polus inside the Arcane University. Talk to him and select -> Tasks. This activates the quest. After activating the quest, use the portal on the ground inside the University and talk to Irlav Jarol. Select -> Vahtacen.

Now travel to the Vahtacen, south of Cheydinhal. It’s marked on the map. Enter the cave and follow the marker until you find Skaleel. Talk to her and select Yes. After that select “Vahtacen” and “Pillar”. Now leave the room through the little gate and follow the quest marker. You will reach a room with a big pillar in the middle and four red stones in each corner. In front of that room you will find Denel. Talk to him and also select “Vahtacen” > “Pillar”. To solve the pillar puzzle you just need spells that do the following elemental damage:

  • Fire
  • Ice
  • Magicka

If you don’t have any of these, you can interact with the chest next to Denel and take out the following 4 scrolls: Flare, Snowball, Sever Magicka and Elevate Magicka. Make a save here. Use the scroll in the same order and cast each spell directly at the big pillar in the middle (select scrolls from Magic menu and :r1: to cast) – make sure you stand very close to the pillar when casting the two Magicka spells as they don’t reach far. There is no timing involved here. The Pillar is now open and you can go downstairs. Now follow the quest marker and go past the ghosts and traps (note: ghosts can be killed with spells or using silver weapons – if you haven’t done the Fighters Guild questline yet, then loot 5 Ectoplasm from ghosts because you’ll need it later). After some traps and ghosts you will reach a room with a big podium in the middle and no visible way to get onto the podium. Go into the other side of the room and upstairs. Interact with the right pillar to activate the stairs for the podium in the middle. Go up to the podium and push the block on the four pillars. You can now pick up the mask right next to you.

Bring that mask to Skaleel by following the marker. After talking to her, go back to Raminus in the University. He will give you the next quest “Necromancer’s Moon” if you select “I’m ready. What is it?”.

After the conversation talk to him again and select ->”Advancement” to unlock the trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Magician, Mages Guild
Reached Magician rank in the Mages Guild
Bronze
To reach the “Magician” rank, you need to finish the “Necromancer’s Moon” quest.

Necromancer Moon – If you did not accept directly after the last quest, then talk to Raminus Polus inside the Arcane University. Talk to him and select -> Tasks. This activates the quest.

Speak to Tar-Meena, she is in the Mystic Archives right behind the University. She wants you to find a book called Necromancer’s Moon. It’s on a table to right of where you entered the library, take it and talk to Tar-Meena again and select -> “Necromancer’s Moon”. Now go back to Raminus, he wants you to talk to Bothiel, she’ll be marked around the university area. Talk to her and select -> Shade of the Revenant. You will get the ”Hastily Scrawled Note”, take this note to Raminus, select -> Shade of the Revenant when talking to him. You now have to go to the Dark Fissure Cave which is on the east side of the map, it’s marked. Your goal is to observe how to create Black Soul Gems. There are three options:

  • Cast “Soul Trap” (if you have it) on the altar at midnight.
  • Enter the cave behind the altar and kill the Worm Anchorite at the beginning of the cave on the left side. Take the “Handwritten Note” from his body and leave the cave.
  • Wait until the ritual occurs. This only happens once per week at midnight.

After doing any of these options, return to Raminus and talk to him. Select -> Necromancers.

After the conversation talk to him again and select -> ”Advancement” to unlock the trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Warlock, Mages Guild
Reached Warlock rank in the Mages Guild
Bronze
After the previous trophy, to reach the “Warlock” rank, you need to finish the “Liberation or Apprehension?” quest.

Liberation or Apprehension – To get this quest, talk to Raminus Polus inside the Arcane University. Talk to him and select -> Tasks. This activates the quest. Now talk to Hannibal Trave, he’s also inside the University. Take the portal next to Raminus. Talk to him and select -> Tasks -> Yes -> Any option -> Any option -> Any option. Now get to the Nenyond Twyll southside of the Imperial City, it’s marked on the map. Enter it and talk to Fithragaer. Follow him, he *should* die automatically soon after from walking into a trap. However, sometimes this bugs out and he survives, in which case the marker will stay on him and he doesn’t walk further nor does he talk to you anymore. If this happens DON’T kill him yourself as this will get you kicked out of the Mage’s Guild when turning in the quest – instead. If he doesn’t die, the quest marker updates. Either way, you must go to the very end of the dungeon where you will find a zombie called Mucianus Allias. Kill him and return to Hannibal in the University.

After that talk to Raminus and select ->”Advancement” to unlock the trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Wizard, Mages Guild
Reached Wizard rank in the Mages Guild
Bronze
After the previous trophy, to reach the “Wizard” rank, you need to finish the “Information at a Price” quest, and after that you also need to finish the “A Plot Revealed” quest.

Information at a Price – to get “Information at a Price” quest, talk to Hannibal Trave inside the Arcane University. Talk to him and select -> Tasks -> I’m ready. This activates the quest. Go to the Castle in Skingrad and talk to Hal-Liurz. She’ll bring the Count to you after 24 hours. Skip 24 hours and the Count will talk to you. Select any options during the conversation. He wants you to get rid of the Vampires and the Vampire Hunters. After the conversation you will have two quest markers. One is in Skingrad (Vampire Hunters) and one a little bit outside of Skingrad next to the Bloodcrust Cavern (Vampires).

You can do the quest in 4 different ways:

  1. Enter the Bloodcrust Cavern, kill all Vampires and grab the Vampire Dust from at least one of the bodies, then go to Skingrad and talk to Eridor and show him the dust. Which makes him and the hunters leave the town.
  2. Enter the Bloodcrust Cavern first, kill all Vampires and then go to Skingrad and kill all the Vampire Hunters.
  3. Talk to Eridor in Skingrad first and tell him where the Vampires are. Follow him and the hunters go to the Bloodcrust Cavern and defeat all Vampires. If Eridor is still alive after that, talk to him, if not kill the remaining hunters.
  4. Talk to Eridor first, tell him that the Vampires are in the Cavern and let him and the Hunters go alone to the cavern. Wait until the game tells you that all hunters are dead, then enter the cavern and kill all remaining vampires.

After doing one of these options go back to the Count in Skingrad. You may need to wait 48 hours before he appears. While talking to him select -> Information. Now go back to Hannibal in the University, talk to him and select -> Mannimarco.

A Plot Revealed – Now skip 48 hours, and talk to Hannibal again and select -> I can go now. This activates “A Plot Revealed” quest. Go to the Mage guild in Bruma, inside the Mage guild you need to find Camilla Lollia. Kill her once you found her. J’skar will appear immediately after, talk to him. After that leave the building and go back to Hannibal in the Arcane University, talk to him and select -> J’skar.

After that talk to Raminus and select -> ”Advancement” to unlock the trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Master-Wizard, Mages Guild
Reached Master-Wizard rank in the Mages Guild
Silver
After the previous trophy, to reach the “Master-Wizard” rank, you need to finish the “The Necromancer’s Amulet” quest, and after that you also need to finish the “The Bloodworm Helm” quest.

The Necromancer’s Amulet – To get “The Necromancer’s Amulet” quest, talk to Hannibal Trave inside the Arcane University and select “Necromancer’s Amulet”. This activates the quest. You now have to go to Fort Ontus, it’s located on the west side of the map above Skingrad and is marked on the map. Enter the fort and find Caranya. She’s at the very end of the dungeon and also marked on the map. Talk to her and select “Necromancer’s Amulet”. After that, kill her and take the Necromancer Amulet from her body. Now return to Hannibal in the university, talk to him and select -> Necomancer’s Amulet. After that, select -> Bloodworm Helm. This activates the “The Bloodworm Helm” quest.

The Bloodworm Helm – Now travel to Fort Teleman, it’s north-east of Leyawiin. Enter it and follow the marker until the end. You will find Irlav Jarols body. Kill the enemies around it and then take the Bloodworm Helm from the body. Return to Hannibal in the university, talk to him and select -> Bloodworm Helm.

After that talk to Raminus and select ->”Advancement” to unlock the trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Arch-Mage, Mages Guild
Completed the Mages Guild Questline
Silver
After the previous trophy, to complete the quest line, you need to finish the “Ambush” quest, and after that you also need to finish the “Confront the King” quest.

Ambush – To get “Ambush” quest, talk to Hannibal Trave inside the Arcane University and select “Tasks”. This activates the quest. You now have to go to Silorn, it’s located on the south-west side of Skingrad and is marked on the map. Talk to Thalfin and the other two battlemages outside the ruins. Your goal is to ready all three mages for the ambush against Falcar. You can place them anywhere you want. After placing all mages, talk to Thalfin again and after a short while Falcar should exit the ruins. Defeat them all, and interact with Falcar’s body after and pick up the Colossal Black Soul Gem. If the two Necromancers in front of the ruins spot you, while preparing for the Ambush, Falcar won’t exit the ruins and you have to enter them and find him to get the Gem (when you reach a locked iron gate you must go through another blue door to a new cave section and find the switch on the balcony above the iron gate). Once you have the Black Soul Gem, return to Hannibal in the university, talk to him. After that, select -> Tasks. This activates the “Confront the King” quest.

Confront the King – After the previous dialogue select “I’m ready”. Now go to the Echo Cave near Bruma, it’s marked on the map. Defeat Bolor Savel in front of the cave and take the Echo Cave Key from his body. Inside the cave follow the marker until the end to find Mannimarco. Talk to him, it does not matter what you choose during the conversation. He will attack you sooner or later. Kill him when he does that. After that return to Raminus in the university.

After the conversation the trophy pops.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Associate, Fighters Guild
Joined the Fighters Guild
Bronze
Talk to the recruiter at the Fighters Guild Hall in one of these 3 towns and ask to join the Fighters Guild:

  1. Vilena Donton in Chorrol (town in north-west) > Chorrol South Gate > Fighters Guild Hall

  2. Azzan in Anvil (town in far west) > Anvil Main Gate > Fighters Guild Hall

  3. Burz gro-Khash in Cheydinhal – West Gate (town in north-east) > Fighters Guild Hall

You can fast travel to this district without having visited it before, simply click the green district icon on the map. Come at day, after 11AM will work fine. At night the NPCs are asleep. You can press Touchpad to pass time. Remember these 3 locations, you’ll have to backtrack to them a lot to accept the Fighters Guild quests.

Note: you aren’t allowed to have a bounty on your head. If you have a bounty, you must get rid of it by paying it off or having a guard catch you and go to jail.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Apprentice, Fighters Guild
Reached Apprentice rank in the Fighters Guild
Bronze
The first rank increase comes after completing your first quest for the Fighters Guild. There are 2 possible quests, but you have to do both of them anyway for the next rank so it doesn’t matter what you do first.

  • The Desolate Mine – Started by talking to “Burz gro-Khash” in Cheydinhal – West Gate > Fighters Guild Hall. He’s an orc, walks around inside the guild hall. Pick the dialogue “Contract”, then open the journal and double-tap :square: to track it. A quest marker will appear on the Desolate Mine 250 meters north-west of Cheydinhal. Enter the door to the mine. Inside talk to Rienne about the Weapons Shipment. Then talk to the other two fighters and give them a Sword & Hammer. Follow the fighters into the mine and slay all goblins. After all goblins are defeated you get a quest popup that you should return to Burz for your reward. Talk to him in Cheydinhal Fighters Guild Hall. Pick “Contract” and then “Advancement” to rank up (if you did this as your first quest).
  • A Rat Problem – Started by talking to “Azzan” in Anvil Main Gate > Fighters Guild Hall. He’s usually on the top floor of the guild hall sitting at his desk. Talk to him about “Contract” > “Rats” to get the quest. Leave the Guild Hall and enter “Arvena Thelas’ House” across the street, it will be marked. Inside, talk to Arvena Thelas (usually upstairs), then go down to the basement and slay the 4 rats. Quest done. If you did this as your first quest then talk to Azzan again about ranking up. If you did it as your second quest continue at the next trophy.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Journeyman, Fighters Guild
Reached Journeyman rank in the Fighters Guild
Bronze
The second rank increase comes after completing 3 quests for the Fighters Guild. After the previous 2 quests, talk to Azzan again about “Contract” > “Norbert Lelles”. This starts “The Unfortunate Shopkeeper”.

  • The Unfortunate Shopkeeper – Starts by talking to Azzan in Anvil Main Gate > Fighters Guild Hall. The objective will be in Anvil Dock Gate > Lelles’ Quality Merchandise. Enter this shop and talk to Norbert Lelles, ask about “Break-ins”. Then skip time until midnight (press Touchpad) while inside the shop. Three thieves will spawn, kill them. Talk to the shopkeeper again about “Break-Ins”, he should be in the inn next-door.

After this quest return to Azzan and pick “Advancement” to unlock the trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Swordsman, Fighters Guild
Reached Swordsman rank in the Fighters Guild
Bronze
The third rank increase comes after completing the next 2 quests for the Fighters Guild.

  • Unfinished Business – First, make sure you exhaust the “Contract” dialogues with Azzan in Avil Fighters Guild & Burz gro-Khash in Cheydinhal Fighters Guild. They will tell you to go see Vilena Donton in Chorrol, which triggers this quest. You find Vilena in Chorrol > Chorrol South Gate > Fighters Guild Hall. She’s usually on the top floor, talk and say “Duties”. This updates the quest marker to talk to Modryn Oreyn, he too is in Chorrol Fighters Guild Hall (male Dark Elf). Pick dialogues “Duties” > “Maglir” > “Defaulted”. This updates the quest marker. Go to Skingrad – West Gate > West Weald Inn, talk to Maglir “Defaulted” > “Brenus Astis’ Journal”. Now go to Fallen Rock Cave (north-west of Skingrad). At the end of the cave, collect the Journal book. Return to Maglir, give him the book. Then talk to Modryn in Chorrol to finish the quest.
  • Drunk and Disorderly – After the previous quest, talk to Modryn Oreyn again (in Chorrol Fighters Guild Hall). Pick the dialogue “Duties” > “Causing Trouble” to start this quest. Unlike other quests this one doesn’t have a map marker where to go. Fast travel to Leyawiin – West Gate > Five Claws Lodge.

Inside the lodge you find 3 Fighters who are getting drunk. Exhaust the dialogues with Vantus Prelius (the other two guys don’t matter). It doesn’t matter what you say, the last dialogue remaining will always prompt the fighters to find some work. Now the game again doesn’t give a proper waypoint marker. Leave the lodge, in the town area talk to any NPC you can find and ask them about Fighters Guild Jobs. One of them will eventually tell you to talk to Margarte, which marks her on the map. Because the NPCs move around it’s random which ones you’ll find (best done at day). Margarte is typically found inside her house at Leyawiin – West Gate > Margarte’s House (can also head to her directly). Ask her about Fighters Guild Jobs. She wants five “Ectoplasm“. This is another unmarked objective. A guaranteed method to get 5 Ectoplasm quickly is to loot them from Ghost enemies in the Rielle dungeon. Rielle is just a short walk north-west of Bruma. See the location image below. Inside the dungeon enter the door to the crypt, there you find 6 flying ghosts, each can be looted for an Ectoplasm. Ghosts are immune to standard weapons, you need a silver weapon or use magic. For example, the Silver Longsword that guards in Imperial City wear.

Alternatively, you can sometimes buy Ectoplasm from alchemy shops: Imperial City Market District > The Main Ingredient / or: Skingrad > All Things Alchemical. They don’t always have it in stock, but you can skip 72 hours in-game time (press Touchpad) to make them refill their stock. It is quite random however and sometimes they will have 4 for sale and other times none at all. Now back to Margarte in Leyawiin, talk to her about the Fighters Guild Job to deliver the Ectoplasm. Then talk to the Vantus Prelius in Five Claws Lodge. Return to Modryn in Chorrol, say “Duties” > “Causing Trouble”. One of the most annoying quests in the game done!

After this, keep talking to Modryn and pick “Advancement” to get the trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Protector, Fighters Guild
Reached Protector rank in the Fighters Guild
Bronze
The fourth rank increase comes after completing the next 2 quests for the Fighters Guild.

  • Amelion’s Debt – Given by Burz gro-Khash in Cheydinhal Fighters Guild Hall. Then go to Water’s Edge, north of Leyawiin. Enter Biene Amelion’s House, talk to her. There are two options: if you say “Where are the sword and armor?” you must collect the gear from Amelion Tomb to pay off the debt. If you say “Take this money for your debt” you give up 1000 Gold and the quest is done. If you have the money to spare you can use it to save time here. Regardless of what you choose, you must return to Burz afterward for your reward.
  • Den of Thieves – Given by Azzan in Anvil Fighters Guild Hall. The first objective isn’t marked. You must exit the Guild Hall and talk to any random NPCs around Anvil, using the “Thieves” dialogue. Someone will eventually tell you something useful and the next objective gets marked. Talk to everyone walking outside and everyone in the buildings, including the Docks district. For me Velwyn Benrius provided the information, can appear in The Count’s Arms at day (was between 10AM-11AM for me). The next quest marker leads to Anvil Dock Gate > talk to Newheim the Portly (in front of Harborside Warehouse at day). He sends you to Hrota Cave, north of Anvil. Kill everyone in the cave, then return to Azzan to hand in the quest.

After both quests are done talk to Azzan or Burz about “Advancement” to get the trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Defender, Fighters Guild
Reached Defender rank in the Fighters Guild
Bronze
The fifth rank increase comes after completing the next 2 quests for the Fighters Guild.

  • The Master’s Son – Talk to Azzan in Anvil about “Contract” and it will start this quest. You must then talk to Modryn Oreyn in Chorrol Fighters Guild Hall (you can also talk to him directly to start the quest). Ask him about “Duties” > “Viranus Donton” > “Confidence” > “Galtus Previa” to update the objective marker. Then enter Vilena Donton’s House in Chorrol, across from the Fighters Guild Hall. Exhaust all dialogues with Viranus Donton in the house, at day he’s usually on the ground floor. It doesn’t matter what you see, he will follow you afterward. Enter Nonwyll Cavern north of Chorrol. Make sure Viranus enters the cave with you, otherwise the quest won’t update! If you ride ahead he will need time to catch up. If he doesn’t enter the cave, simply exit, wait for him and re-enter. Inside, kill the trolls and enter the first tunnel on the right, go through the door to “Nonwyll Chamber of Titans”. In there fight your way through the Ogres and Trolls until you go up in a big round cave section. After going up, look in the direction you came and head to the quest marker to find the corpse of Galtus Previa in the cave. You get a quest update popup when going near the corpse (it’s okay if Viranus gets knocked out, he will recover after a while). Exit the cave, fast travel back to Chorrol, report back to Modryn in the Fighters Guild. Quest done.
  • More Unfinished Business – After the previous quest talk to Modryn Oreyn again in Chorrol Fighters Guild. Pick “Duties” > “Defaulted”, this starts the quest. This quest doesn’t have a marker initially. Fast travel to Bravil > The Lonely Suitor Lodge (it’s across the suspension bridge) > talk to Maglir inside the lodge (you can also talk to NPCs and someone will tell you Maglir is in the lodge which marks him, but can head straight there).

Ask him “Defaulted” > the next dialogue will depend on whether you reported him to Oreyn in the earlier quest or not. If you didn’t report him, he gives you more details. If you reported him, you must return to Modryn Oreyn in Chorrol Fighters Guild and talk to him about “Maglir”. Afterward you must talk to Aryarie in Bravil Mages Guild, exhaust all dialogues. She needs 10 Imp Galls, head to Robber’s Glen Cave north of Bravil and loot 10 Imps, deliver them back to Aryarie. Return to Modryn in Chorrol Fighters Guild to complete the quest, he will give the next quest “Azani Blackheart” (see next trophy).

Also talk to Modryn about “Advancement” to get the rank increase and trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Warder, Fighters Guild
Reached Warder rank in the Fighters Guild
Bronze
The sixth rank increase comes after completing the next 1 quest for the Fighters Guild.

Azani Blackheart – upon finishing the previous quest “More Unfinished Business”, you will automatically get this new quest while talking to Modryn in Chorrol Fighters Guild. Keep talking to him about “Duties” to get the next quest marker. Skip time to midnight (press Touchpad) until Modryn moves to his house in the south-west of Chorrol. Talk to him in his house, exhaust all dialogues, tell him “I’m in”. Now fast travel to Leyawiin Fighters Guild, talk to Modryn there.

Then you must enter Arpenia north-east of Leyawiin, it’s a dungeon and will be marked. Make sure when you enter that Modryn spawns there too, if not exit the area and re-enter or fast travel back and forth until Modryn spawns there. Now the quest marker disappears again. You must enter the second room of the dungeon where you find a lootable container “Ayleid Cask” and an elevator trap with spikes on the ceiling.

Step onto the elevator trap, there’s some blood on the floor. After using the trap, talk to Modryn again, he should now have a new dialogue “Azani Blackheart”, he will reply there was no fight here and the objective marker gets updated. You must now stay close to Modryn and follow him on foot to Atatar (takes around 5 minutes). Exit the Arpenia dungeon together with Modryn. Make sure Modryn follows you outside, walk slowly with him and make sure he’s right behind you when you exit. When you spawn outside, the green quest marker will be placed on Modryn. Keep walking with him and clear out enemies along the way. When you arrive at Atatar enter the door in the tower ruins.

Go through the dungeon and kill the bandits along the way. When you come to a room with locked iron gates that say “This gate is opened remotely”, you must enter a cell in the south-west corner and push a block on the wall, Modryn should head in that direction automatically. Then go through another door with a loading screen to the third dungeon section “Atatar Haelia Anga”. There you encounter more locked gates, you must drop down to the lower floor and go through the open gate in the south-west, follow the path to reach a room with many bandits. Then go through the door to the fourth section “Atatar Loria”. There you find Azani Blackheart, kill him, loot his corpse for “Blackheart’s Ring”. Talk to Modryn afterward about “Azani Blackheart” > “Blackheart’s Ring”. Quest done. Azani also drops a very powerful sword and good armor.

Talk to Modryn once more about “Advancement” to get the trophy. If you get lost on the way back out, you can track another quest or put a custom map marker on any town and the compass at the top of the screen will guide you from one door to the next.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Guardian, Fighters Guild
Reached Guardian rank in the Fighters Guild
Bronze
The seventh rank increase comes after completing the next 2 quests for the Fighters Guild.

  • The Fugitives – Starts by talking to Burz in Cheydinhal Fighters Guild. Ask about “Contract” > “Prison Break” to get the quest. This is another one without waypoints. Go to Bravil and talk to NPCs until one of them gives info that updates the objective. What worked for me was to go to Bravil > The Lonely Suitor Lodge > talk to the bar maid Luciana Galena, ask about Fugitives. When done, it will add a quest marker on Bloodmayne Cave (250 meters west of Bravil). Inside this cave, kill all marked enemies. When you reach an area with poison gas you must pull the string on the right to open the wall on the left. The first cave section has two marked enemies: Hlofgar & Ashanta. After you kill Ashanta go up the path and through the door to the next cave section, there you find the next two enemies: Dreet-Lai & Enrion. For Enrion you must drop some holes in the cave, but don’t go through the door to the next cave section yet. Where you kill Enrion go up the path and through the door to exit the cave. Return to Burz in Cheydinhal Fighters Guild to finish the quest.
  • The Wandering Scholar – Starts by talking to Azzan in Anvil Fighters Guild. Ask about “Contract” > “Elante Alinor” to get the quest. Go to Brittlerock Cave north of Anvil, it will be marked. Immediately after entering the cave you will find Elante of Alinor, exhaust all dialogues. Then you must follow her through the cave, stay close to her so she keeps moving. She will first walk to a dead-end where she opens a door to a room with a coffin. Then she turns around and leads you on the correct path. After 2 minutes of walking you reach the shrine inside the cave. She will talk to you, then looks around the shrine. She automatically talks to you a second time to send you away. Exit the cave and return to Azzan to finish the quest.

After completing both quests, talk to Azzan or Burz about “Advancement” to get the trophy.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Trophy Guide Champion, Fighters Guild
Reached Champion rank in the Fighters Guild
Silver
The eighth rank increase comes after completing the next 4 quests for the Fighters Guild.

  • Trolls of the Forsaken Mine – After turning in the previous quest, you can immediately talk to Azzan again about “Contract” to start this quest. He will tell you to speak to Modryn Oreyn in Chorrol Fighters Guild. Talk to him about “Duties” > “Viranus Donton” > “Forsaken Mine”. Go to the Forsaken Mine south of Leyawiin, it will be marked. Inside the mine follow the marker through the door to “Forsaken Mine Lost Passages”. In there you will find the deceased body of Viranus Donton, will be marked. Loot his body for “A Bloody Journal”. Exit the cave and report back to Modryn in Chorrol to finish the quest.
  • The Noble’s Daughter – Starts by talking to Burz in Cheydinhal Fighters Guild about “Contract” > “Lord Rugdumph” > “Lady Rogbut”. Go to Lord Rugdumph’s Estate, north of Cheydinhal (will be marked). Go inside and exhaust the dialogues with Lord Rugdumph. This will update the objective marker to 100 meters east of the estate. Go there and kill the 3 Ogres that surround Lady Rogbut. Talk to her afterward and escort her back to the estate. Make sure you stay close to her. Talk to the lord again, then return to Burz in Cheydhinhal to finish the quest.
  • Mystery of Harlun’s Watch – Starts by talking to Burz in Cheydinhal Fighters Guild about “Contract” > “Disappearances”. Go to the quest marker that appears south of Cheydinhal, enter Drarana Thelis’ House. Talk to Drarana inside about “Disappearances” > “Strange Lights”. Then head to the next quest marker a little further southeast by river. Approach the 3 yellow lights. Destroy the lights and behind them enter the Swampy Cave. Inside the cave you find the corpses of the townsfolk that went missing. Defeat all trolls inside the cave, these won’t be marked. Search every cave section carefully, also go through the door to the second cave section “Swampy Cave Dry Rock Run”. There you find the remaining trolls. Keep exploring thoroughly until the last troll is defeated, then you get a quest update popup. Exit the cave, report back to Drarana at Harlun’s Watch. Then return to Burz to finish the quest.
  • The Stone of St. Alessia – Starts by talking to Azzan in Anvil Fighters Guild about “Contract” > “Stone of St. Alessisa”. Go to Bruma > Great Chapel of Talos > talk to Cirroc about “Stone of St. Alessia” > “Bandits”. This updates the quest marker to a road east of Bruma. There you must talk to K’Sharr, exhaust the dialogues. The quest marker gets updated to Sedor, further east of Bruma. It’s in rough terrain, best to go on foot. You’ll have to pass over some mountains, stay on the side of the mountains where you can walk. Enter Sedor dungeon, head in the direction of the green quest marker. You’ll come to a closed iron gate where the marker is. It will say that it opens remotely. Backtrack to the previous room and take the west path through a golden gate, follow this path until you go upstairs and you’ll reach the switch above the quest marker. Now the main gate opens and you can pick up Stone of St. Alessia. Exit the dungeon (in the previous room take the south path, then go left to reach the exit). Deliver the amulet to Cirroc back in Bruma. Return to Azzan in Anvil to finish the quest.

After completing all quests, talk to Azzan about “Advancement” to get the trophy.

The final rank increase comes after completing the next 3 quests for the Fighters Guild.

  • Information Gathering – Starts upon completing the previous quest and talking to Azzan in Anvil Fighters Guild. Then talk to Modryn Oreyn in Chorrol > Modryn Oreyn’s House (south-west corner of Chorrol). Ask about “Duties” > “Blackwood Company” > “Ajum-Kajin”. Go to Glademist Cave (north-east of Chorrol), it will be marked. Kill Ajum-Kajin at the end of the cave. The quest auto-completes when killing him.
  • Infiltration – Starts by talking to Modryn Oreyn in Chorrol > Modryn Oreyn’s House > ask about “Duties” > “Infiltrate” to start the quest. Go to Leyawiin > Blackwood Company Hall > Talk to Jeetum-Ze (will be marked). Ask about “Join the Blackwood Company” > “No jobs with the Guild”. Then follow him downstairs to the Blackwood Company Training Hall. He will stop to talk to other members and gives you a Hist Sap, exhaust the dialogues. You must drink it from the Inventory > Alchemy > Hist Sap. Then you get a quest update and a loading screen. You will automatically wake up in Water’s Edge and must defeat all goblins. After killing all outside, enter the houses to kill the remaining goblins. Then you get another loading screen and will be teleported back to Modryn Oreyn’s house instantly. Tell him about “Hist Sap”. Travel to Water’s Edge, north of Leyawiin, it will be marked. There talk to Marcel Amelion, then report back to Modryn in Chorrol. He will give the next quest.
  • The Hist – Starts by talking to Modryn Oreyn in Chorrol > Modryn Oreyn’s House > ask about “Duties” > “Hist Tree” > “Ri’Zakar” to start the quest. Go to the Leyawiin > Blackwood Company Hall. The members will attack you on sight. Kill everyone inside the Blackwood Company Hall. You will need to loot the body of Ja’Fazir for the Jeetum Room Key, then go upstairs to open the door. There you kill Jeetum-Ze, loot him for Riz-Zakar’s Room Key. Then go back to the main hall and upstairs to the top floor, open the door to Ri’Zakar’s Room. From his corpse loot Blackwood Co. Basement Key. Go downstairs and enter Blackwood Company Hall Basement. Here you find the Hist Tree – pick up two Loose Pipes on the right side > activate both pumps connected to the tree (uses the pipes to break the machines). The tree will now burn down. Exit the room and you will be attacked by Maglir, kill him. Return to Modryn in his house in Chorrol, tell him about “Hist Tree” > “Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw”. Go to Chorrol Fighters Guild Hall, talk to Vilena Donton, exhaust the dialogues and pick “Advancement” to unlock the trophy. That’s the Fighters questline done. The Hist quest technically continues beyond this trophy – you can ask Vilena about “Duties”, then talk to Modryn in his house again to make him your second-in-command to end the quest.

DLC: The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles Remastered

Step 1: How to Start the Shivering Isles DLC

The Shivering Isles DLC can be started immediately after the prologue when entering the open world for the first time (after exiting the sewers dungeon). No other game progress is needed. You must go to the middle of the big lake “Nidon Bay” at the town “Bravil”. There you find an unmarked island with a purple portal on it:

Approach the portal, you will get a new quest “A Door in Niben Bay”. A guy called Belmyne Dreleth comes out of the portal and starts attacking a guard. After the fight, talk to the guard, exhaust all dialogues. Then interact with the purple portal. The portal will “talk” to you. In the top left it will say “This door will not yet open to you” but this is a false warning to confuse the player. Just keep interacting with the portal repeatedly, after about half a minute you can enter!

Once inside, sit in the chair and talk to Haskill. Exhaust the dialogues with him. He will eventually end the dialogue. You can immediately talk to him again, say “I’ll do it”. Then you are teleported to the DLC area and the first trophy unlocks. You can return to the main game map anytime by going through the purple portal again.

Step 2: Play through the Shivering Isles DLC & Get 2 Missable Trophies

Track the new quests that appear when entering the DLC area and follow the questline (starting with “Through the Fringe of Madness”. Everything will be marked when tracking the quests, just like in the main game.

Only thing to watch out for are the two trophies that cancel out each other: trophy “Duke Dementia, Shivering Isles” & trophy “Duke Mania, Shivering Isles”. Picking one will lock you out of the other. But there’s an easy workaround: make a save after Main Quest: The Cold Flame of Agnon. This is just before choosing sides for the trophies. After getting one trophy, reload the save and do the other one.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion DLC Trophy Guide Tourist, Shivering Isles
Entered the Shivering Isles
Bronze
See Step 1 in the DLC Roadmap above. This trophy unlocks as soon as you enter the DLC area for the first time, after talking to Haskill.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion DLC Trophy Guide Aspirant, Shivering Isles
Reached Aspirant Rank in the Court of Madness
Bronze
Automatic DLC story trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks after Main Quest: Through the Fringe of Madness.

After entering the DLC area, follow the quest markers until you reach a group of people fighting a large creature called “Gatekeeper”. If you attack, it will regenerate health. Once all the soldiers die it will attack you. You will get a pop-up advising you to speak to some people about how to kill the Gatekeeper, however if you are playing on Novice difficulty you can easily kill it, loot its body for the keys and talk to Haskill who will explain the difference between the Mania and Dementia doors ahead. Neither door bears any significant difference when it comes to the story or trophies, proceed through either door.

After proceeding through a door, follow the next quest marker leading to the city of “Bliss”. After you talk to Sheogorath the trophy will unlock.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion DLC Trophy Guide Citizen, Shivering Isles
Reached Citizen Rank in the Court of Madness
Bronze
After finishing the previous quest speak to Sheogorath to progress to the next two quests for this trophy.

  • A Better Mousetrap – After speaking with Sheogorath you will be given the quest “A Better Mousetrap”. Speak to Haskill and ask him about Xedilian > Reactivated. Leave the Palace and follow the quest marker to “Xedilian”. Progress through the dungeon by following the quest marker to the first Judgment Nexus, you need to kill and loot the Crystal Staff from the nearby Grummite Shaman enemy and then place it on the nexus to open the gate and proceed. Continue on and you will have to press an orange block which will drop you down, proceed to the next nexus and again loot the crystal staff from the nearby shaman, use it on the nexus to open the next door. Follow the path to a door leading to Halls of Judgment. Continue on to the 3rd and final nexus, again killing the nearby shaman and using the crystal staff on the nexus and going through the next door. Keep following the quest marker until you reach the Resonator of Judgment, activate it. Activate the nearby teleport pad to leave the dungeon.
  • Baiting the Trap – This quest will immediately activate. Kiliban Nyrandil will automatically start dialogue with you, exhaust his dialogue and you will then have to proceed around the corner to two different switched, for story and trophy purposes it doesn’t matter which of the switches you press, wait until all of the adventurers in the chamber are in position and press a switch and watch the battle unfold, once finished turn around and proceed to the next chamber via the teleporter pad. Same again here, choose either switch and watch the events unfold, then proceed to the next chamber via the teleporter pad. Once again select either switch and watch the ensuing events and then speak to Kiliban, afterwards use the teleport pad and you will speak to Kiliban again, after this you will be attacked by 3 knights of the order enemies, kill them and talk to Kiliban, ask him about the knights to finish the quest and earn the trophy.

Speak to Anya again and then leave the palace in to Crucible. Follow the quest marker leading to Ma’zaddha, select “Conspiracy” > “Liar! Herdir, torture him”, speak to him again but he still refuses to give you any information, citing a lack of evidence. Find and speak to Bisha, he can often be found asleep behind the “Things Found” store in the city. Speak to him and torture him like the previous conversations, he will reveal information regarding Ma’zaddha meeting up with Narlene at night in Crucible, wait until 12AM and then proceed to the next quest marker, eavesdrop on Narlene and Ma’zaddha but remain undetected while they speak. After the conversation confront Ma’zaddha, wait 24 hours then follow the quest marker to his house, you have to pick the lock to enter upon which you will find him dead on the floor, search his body and take the keys, go up to the second floor and open the locked cupboard. Proceed to her and ask her about the Chalice, she will mention it’s in “Dunroot Burrow”, ask her about it and it will be marked. When going through this area you will have to go up some stairs to the left of a locked gate, there is a green switch you need to press to open it, otherwise proceed to the quest marker. You’ll need to interact with the chime in the final room to free Dylora, exhaust her dialogue, then proceed to Hall of Devotion. In the first ring activate the chime to open the way, proceed to the quest marker leading to Font of Rebirth. Proceed to the quest marker, once you reach the room with the wellspring, activate the chimes in each corner of the room to break the crystals, talk to the commander of the guards, exhaust her dialogue and the quest will be complete and you will earn the trophy.

Proceed towards the quest marker, where you will have to activate another Chrysalis to summon a Gnarl who will open a root door for you, kill the priests in the pool then follow the quest marker back to The Fountainhead. Follow the quest marker, you’ll need to spawn another Gnarl to open a door along the way, enter the Pool of Mania. Proceed through here, there will be an area below where you can summon a gnarl, do so and it should move up towards a door that it will open for you. Keep going and kill the priests in the pool up ahead, then follow the quest marker to leave the area, continue through the fountainhead back to the palace. Interact with the Font of Madness behind the throne again, you will gain the Staff of Sheogorath. A guard captain will talk to you, this will complete the quest and start the next one.

2/10 on novice difficulty and nothing is missable, that’s a relief i can just enjoy the game without worrying about missing stuff.

No missables is awesome, but honestly i personally prefer a difficulty setting trophy.

    Thanks as always.

Why? I am genuinely curious to know why it matters?

    Great Guide !

Are you writing a Guide for Clair Obscure?

I’m currently working on Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and the upcoming May releases. One of my teammates is currently looking into Clair Obscur. It’s too early to tell if, or when, a guide for it is doable but we’ll try to have a guide for it if time permits.

I’m not putting it on the “upcoming guides” list until I’m 90%+ sure that the guide will be finished, that’s why you don’t see it officially listed (yet). But yes there’s a chance we’ll have a guide down the line.

For the Thieves Guild Questline, all I see is black, unless it’s because I’m on phone viewing this or it’s just a bug, happens during the Footpad rank

We had a little technical server problem that briefly resulted in the guide not fully rendering. It should be fixed now, but please let me know if you still get the issue (you may need to refresh the page).

You can also get a free horse in the main quest by completing Deliver the Amulet and talking to one of the monks downstairs. It’s a better horse than the free horse offered by the Horse Armor.

I think the thieves guild final trophy is technically missable, I got caught before getting the elder scroll and didn’t realise it would matter so ran through the building killing everyone and then went back to try get it and realised there’s no way to get it at that point. All auto saves were after that point and I hadn’t manual saved in 5 hours ????

Yeah buy invis potion and dupe it then keep it active and crouch if you get spotted it also bugs the monks and you cant get the scroll. I had to redo the quest line because it didn’t say that. Use stealth

Arena trophy is kinda buggy, I can’t proceed this questline because I can’t start matches. The guy tells me I don’t have a rainment equiped, but it is equiped.

I’ve not had the issue personally, but you can try switching between the heavy and light arena raiment. Rebooting game also fixes weird bugs. Or reload autosave before entering the arena for the first time.

Technically the Arena trophies can be missable as if your disqualified twice you are locked out of the arena

Always save regularly being softlocks are common, like Modryn got stuck at Atatar and he couldn’t go back to the guild. The lizard dude i had to tp to him speak then go into Modryn house then speak to Ajum-Kajin and he killed himself. Game filled with bugs, classic oblivion

There is a bug in Confront the King quest for the Mages Guild questline. Mannimarco won’t talk to me and I loaded an earlier save. Quite disappointing since I didn’t run into any similar bugs earlier in my playthrough. Will need to wait for bethesda to fix it

Can I play the main story first and then come back to those questlines? Nothing is missable if I do so??

After one of the fighters guild quests, you get demoted two ranks and the champion trophy does not pop, any thing I can do or do I need to make a new character?

You should add that “Allies for Bruma” is optional. If you don’t do it, “Defense of Bruma” is just a little bit harder, but on lower difficulties still a breeze. It saves a lot of time not having to close all those Oblivion gates, not to mention how tedious it is.

Your Duke of Mania trophy has the description for Duke of Dementia listed under it, and vice versa.
