In Starfield you can assign Crewmates to different locations and functions. If your Companion of choice disappears this feature will help you find them again. It also allows you to match the skills of crewmates to your spaceship needs. Each Crew Member has different skills.

Assign Crewmates in Crew Menu
Step 1: Open the Menu and select the “Ship” Icon in the bottom left.
- Xbox: Press Menu-Button > Click the ship icon in bottom left
- PC: Press Tab > Left-Click the ship icon in bottom left
Step 2: In bottom right click the “Crew” Menu.
- Xbox: press “Y”
- PC: press “C”
Step 3: This opens the Menu. Here you can see the location each member is assigned to. Click on them and reassign them as needed. If you can’t find a member assign them to your Ship or Lodge and check there.
