Introduction

Welcome to the UFC 6 Trophy Guide! UFC 6 introduces 3 new game modes: Hall of Legends which teaches you more about some fighters and lets you replay their historic fights, Legacy which is a more cinematic career mode, and The Gym which lets you train fighters to unlock more cosmetics for them. Gameplay-wise, the biggest changes are a “Flow State” that can be activated mid-fight for temporary buffs, and an optional “Time Dialation Assist” that slows down the game when you need to dodge or block (more beginner friendly). Overall the game has more beginner friendly options. All trophies can be done on easy difficulty and you can even adjust the damage you deal and receive in the gameplay options. If you want to speedrun all trophies you can set your damage to +100% and opponent’s to -100%, then you win every fight in 3 seconds with a single head kick. 95% of trophies can be done in as little as 4 hours with damage modifiers enabled. The one very grindy part is reaching Level 99 with one fighter in The Gym. It doesn’t require any active gameplay and all you do is assign a passive trainer to the fighter, but this must be redone every few minutes to keep accumulating XP. The online trophies are also easier this time and can be boosted entirely.

Step 1: The Gym – Train 1 Fighter to Level 99 & 12 Fighters at Level 14

UFC 6 introduces a new online feature called “The Gym”. There you recruit and train fighters passively by assigning them a trainer. Then they collect XP passively while in training, which takes around 12-25 minutes per training cycle. You then have to assign a trainer to the fighter again to level up further. You can quickly access The Gym by pressing Touchpad in any game menu, or from the Title Screen.

Reaching Level 99 with one fighter is by far the most time-consuming trophy requirement. You will want to start working on this as soon as possible. Some fighters have longer training times than others (typically the 5 star fighters and a few 4.5 stars), these should be avoided. Pick a fighter with faster training times, ideally a Leg Chopper because they are the default menu when entering The Gym. Always assign your best trainer to the fighter you want to make Level 99. You don’t need to play as this fighter, they level up passively just by assigning a trainer.

You also need to get 12 fighters of ONE AND THE SAME CATEGORY to Level 14 so they reach “Gold” rank (e.g. 12 Leg Choppers). They go Gold when they unlock their final cosmetic at Level 14. Assign your other free trainers to them. You unlock more trainers, faster training, and more XP by leveling up your Gym Level, which happens automatically after every fight.

Just remember to visit The Gym menu frequently while working on other trophies. Stick with lower ranked fighters that have faster training times.

Step 2: The Legacy Mode (2 Missable Trophies for Final Decision, Make PS+ Backup if you can)

Play through Legacy Mode until you fight in a casino and unlock the trophy trophy All bets on red. After this trophy, you get the fight offer against Danny Lopez. Make a manual PS+ Backup BEFORE fighting Danny: PS5 Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data (PS5) > Upload or Delete from Console Storage > Upload to PS+ Cloud. Then turn off Auto-Sync in the previous menu: Saved Data > Sync Saved Data > Auto-Sync Saved Data = Disabled (this is important so it doesn’t automatically overwrite your cloud save).

After the final fight against Danny, you will get the dialogue choice “Is the rivalry over”?. Picking “YES” unlocks one trophy and “NO” unlocks the other. Make one choice, wait for all cutscenes to finish to unlock the final few story trophies. Then download your PS+ backup (PS5 Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data (PS5) > Download or Delete from Cloud Storage). You will be back before the final fight, repeat it and pick the opposite choice.

If you don’t have PS+ you can’t earn the Platinum anyway as it’s required for the Online trophies, so it’s highly recommended for this game. At the game’s launch there is no option to start a new Legacy playthrough, then the workaround would be to delete the save from your PS5 Settings, which also deletes all other offline progress (but doesn’t affect The Gym and Online levels). Luckily, this mode only takes a few minutes to speedrun on easy and adjusting your damage to +100% in gameplay settings, so even if you need to replay, it won’t take long.

Step 3: Hall of Legends Mode

You only need to finish one Hall of Legends. Enter the Hall, press Options-Button to jump to the fights or walk to the display that starts them. Finish all objectives that are displayed in the bottom left corner during the fight. Each hall has 3 fights with a few objectives. It only takes a few minutes. Note that the trophy for clearing all objectives only unlocks after returning to the main menu.

Step 4: Career Mode

Career Mode is identical to the previous UFC games. You can speedrun it by adjusting the gameplay settings to give yourself +100% damage and pick easy difficulty. Select a Heavyweight Kickboxer, put your evolution points into Kicking Power. Then throw a single head kick to win every fight in 3 seconds. The longest trophy is getting $20 Million, it goes slowly at first but after becoming champion you get $4 Million per fight and you’ll be done after a few fights. You can speedrun this mode in an hour on easy.

Step 5: Online & Miscellaneous

There are only 2 proper online trophies and they are quicker and easier than previous UFC games. trophy Hat Trick for winning 3 fights in a row, trophy Strike While the Iron’s Hot for landing 5 hits during a single flow state. Both can be boosted with a friend, refer to the trophy descriptions for more details.

Step 6: Keep Grinding For Level 99 in The Gym

The last thing you’ll need is The Gym trophies for reaching Level 99 with one Fighter, and Level 14 with 12 Fighters in the same category. If you’ve been working on it from the start, you should have a good amount done already.

Now your best bet is to reach Gym Level 50 first, this permanently increases training XP and reduces training time. Note that Gym XP is separate from Fighter XP. You can view the permanent unlocks under The Gym > Progression > Gym Pression. The best tactic is to keep winning title defenses in Career Mode, these always give 500 Gym XP per win and only take 3 seconds with gameplay setting +100% damage. Eventually your fighter gets too old and retires, then you can either start a new Career run or keep playing “Fight Now” matches.

Then just stay in The Gym menu and assign trainers to your fighters every few minutes. Reaching Level 99 will take 43 hours minimum. You need 117,262 XP total and you get max 550XP every 12 minutes (at Gym Level 50 with best trainer). This works out to 2,750 XP per hour (117,262 XP / 2,750 XP per hour = 43 hours). So just stay in this menu, go do other stuff while you wait, remember to reassign a trainer every few minutes. It’s very boring and grindy, in total you need to do this at least 214 times to get 117k XP. Optionally, you can speed it up a little bit by playing as that fighter. The XP you get from active gameplay depend entirely on the length of the match, with a +30XP win bonus and the rest comes from how many seconds you played. However, the active matches give so few XP that the passive Gym training goes much faster for less work.

Hammer Time
Win a fight by ground and pound
Bronze
*Any Mode*

“Ground and Pound” is when you are on the ground in top mount and knock out the opponent with strikes (you’re sitting on top of the opponent on the floor). Wrestle the opponent to the ground with :l2: + :square: + :x: then in Full Mount press :r-up: and use strikes :square: :triangle: to get a TKO. You can also do it after a knockdown by dropping onto the enemy to pound him out. To make it easy you can adjust your damage to +100% in gameplay settings.

Tap, Snap or Nap
Win a fight by submission
Bronze
*Any Mode*

Submissions are done when you are on the floor and exhaust the opponent’s submission meter (purple bar below stamina). Wrestle the opponent to the ground with :l2: + :square: + :x: then hold :l2: to view available submissions from each position. Successfully perform submissions until the opponent taps out. This is best done on easy difficulty using a Jiu-Jitsu fighter.

Flow Interrupted
Stun an opponent while they are in flow state
Silver
*Any Mode*

An opponent’s “Flow State” happens when the screen turns gray. This is best done against boxers or kickboxers, as they typically use their flow state while standing up, which is easier to interrupt. Play on easy or and drag out the fight until the opponent uses the flow state. When the screen turns gray, attack with the most powerful attacks to stun the opponent. On easy difficulty, landing 2 head kicks in a row as a kickboxer works well ( :l1: + :x: > :l1: + :circle: ). Landing Combos, Uppercuts, Hooks, Overhands also work well.

In the Zone
Win a fight while in flow state
Silver
*Any Mode*

“Flow State” can be triggered by pressing  when the icon next to your stamina bar is filled up. What fills the flow meter depends on the perks each fighter has, but just playing normally you will get a full flow meter in almost every round. When you activate flow state, the screen turns gray and your main perk is enhanced. While the screen is gray you must win the fight by KO / TKO / Submission. Activate the flow state just before you are about to knock out or submit the opponent and you’ll get this. It’s best done on easy difficulty. An easy method is to use flow state just before starting a submission attempt.

Not bed time yet
Complete 5 consecutive fights without going to the ground
Silver
*Any Mode*

For this you must remain standing for the entire fight across 5 fights in a row. This means you can’t get knocked down, can’t be wrestled to the floor, and can not engage in ground and pound. You can make this super quick by adjusting your damage to +100% in gameplay settings and playing on easy. Select a heavyweight fighter and throw 1 head kick to instantly get a knockout, repeat 5 times. Each fight will only take a few seconds.

The objectives will be displayed in the bottom left corner during the fight, doing these represents how the fights played out in real life.

Note: The trophy only unlocks after quitting out to the Main Menu, not immediately in Hall of Legends mode.

Hat Trick
Achieve a 3-win streak in any online game mode
Silver
*Online*

For this you must win 3 fights in a row in online mode. For me this didn’t unlock in “Invite a Friend” mode. In quick fight it doesn’t seem to unlock when fighting the same opponent 3 times via the “Rematch” function, they have to be 3 different opponents.

It’s confirmed to work in Quick Fight (3 different opponents), Online Career, Ranked Ladder, Ranked Stand & Bang.

If you want to boost this with a friend, your boosting partner will need to set up 3 different PSN accounts and link different EA accounts to them. After each fight it won’t match you against the same person again for a longer period. So if you search with the same account again you won’t find each other. Go to Quick Fight and use very specific search parameters that only you and your boosting partner will search for (specific mode, weight class, create a fighter allowed or not). You could also try in Online Career by searching for specific weight classes. If you get matched up to other players, try searching during hours when fewer people are online (typically 7AM UTC – 9AM UTC) and avoid weekends. Around the game’s launch there will be more people playing so there’s a higher chance to run into randoms. If you do it months or years after the game’s release it will become easier to boost as there are fewer people playing online.

If you want to do it legit, stick to the fighter and specific weight class you know best. Most players online struggle with defending submissions, so playing a strong Jiu-Jitsu fighter or wrestler and focusing on submissions can work well regardless of your skill level, it just takes some luck with your opponents.

Strike While the Iron’s Hot
Land 5 successful strikes on an opponent during a single flow state in an online match
Gold
*Online*

“Flow State” can be triggered by pressing  when the icon next to your stamina bar is filled up. What fills the flow meter depends on the perks each fighter has, but just playing normally you will get a full flow meter in almost every round. When you activate flow state, the screen turns gray. During this, land any 5 strikes without the opponent blocking it. Kicks count too.

It can be boosted in “Invite a Friend”.

Loyalist
Max a fighter to level 99 in The Gym
Bronze
*Online* *The Gym*

Go to Main Menu > The Gym, or press Touchpad while in any menu.

For this you must reach Level 99 on a single fighter. This is by far the most time-consuming trophy in the game. With the best trainer and Gym Level 50 you get 550 XP every 12 minutes. To reach Level 99 it takes 117,262 XP total. This takes a minimum of 43 hours real time if you were to assign a trainer exactly every 12 minutes.

Here’s how to make leveling as efficient as possible:

  • Most importantly, some fighters have longer training times than others. 5-star fighters and some popular 4.5 star fighters have longer training times. Their training time will be the same as the recruitment time. You can see this when you click on a fighter and hover over a trainer, it will show how long each training cycle will take. Pick a fighter with the lower training time (the exact training time will depend on the trainer and your Gym Level).
  • Remember you will need to click on this fighter a minimum of 214 times to assign them trainers (117,262 XP / 550 XP per training). Don’t pick a fighter that requires scrolling through menus every time. It’s best to pick one from the Leg Choppers category to reduce the number of clicks when going into the Gym menu. Leg Choppers are always the default menu that requires no scrolling. At the time of the game’s launch, the 1st Leg Chopper is Jose Aldo who has long training times due to being 5 stars, so avoid him. Pick a fighter that requires the least button presses (e.g. in Leg Choppers if you press press  once you land on Michelle Waterson who has short training times).
  • Get to Gym Level 50 to get all the training bonuses. Especially the ones that reduce training time by -5% each and grant +25XP per training. You can view these under Gym > Progression > Gym Pression > browse through the rewards. The last -5% training time is unlocked at Gym Level 48. After you’re done with all other trophies, you can grind Title Defenses in Career Mode which give 500XP per win (on easy with +100% damage gameplay modifier, you get knockouts with 1 kick).
  • The best trainer is the 5th one “Sergo Vakhtangishvili” unlocked at Gym Level 16. He starts out at 500XP and has the quickest training time, at Gym Level 50 with all bonuses he will give 550XP.
  • There are 5 trainers total in the standard edition and 7 trainers in the Ultimate Edition (includes +2 DLC trainers). However, the Ultimate Edition trainers give less XP than Sergo. For :silver: Gotta Train ‘Em All, you need to get 12 fighters to Level 14 IN THE SAME CATEGORY (e.g. 12 Leg Choppers). Always assign Sergo to the fighter you chose for level 99. Assign all other trainers to other fighters in the category to get them to Level 14. This way you can combine them efficiently. Don’t waste your best trainer on getting fighters to Level 14, you’d just waste time.
  • You don’t need to play as the chosen fighter at all. You can just stay in the Gym menu the entire time, start a new training whenever the previous one is finished. It’s very boring and repetitive but you can go do other things while the training happens automatically. You just need to manually assign a new trainer every few minutes.
  • Playing as the fighter gives some bonus XP but only a very small amount. The fighter XP will be shown after each match. The match XP are entirely based on how many seconds the match took + a win bonus of roughly 30 XP. If you win every match in the first round you get barely any XP (50 XP or less). If you drag it out to the 5th round you will have spent more seconds playing and will get 200 XP or so. If you lose you still get the same amount minus the win bonus. How you win the fight doesn’t affect the XP. Overall, even actively playing you make far less XP than the passive Gym trainer.
  • You can speed it up by actively playing your chosen fighter while the Gym training is happening. This way you can get another 250 XP or so per training cycle which will cut 10-15 hours off the total time requirement, but you’d have to actively play the same fighter for 30+ hours. The downside is this is pretty boring and when matches take longer you’d waste time you could’ve better spent on starting the next training already. Overall it’s less hassle to stay in the Gym menu the entire time and just start a new training while you go do other stuff.
  • You must recruit the fighters first. Some require a specific gym level, while others are available from the start. You can increase the recruitment odds by beating that fighter once and also winning while playing that fighter (up to 3 times).

Gym Level XP Requirements:

  • Level 1 = 84 XP
  • Level 2 = 168 XP
  • Level 3 = 252 XP
  • Level 4 = 336 XP
  • Level 5 = 420 XP
  • Level 6 = 504 XP
  • Level 7 = 587 XP
  • Level 8 = 756 XP
  • Level 9 = 924 XP
  • Level 10 = 1092 XP
  • Level 11 = 1260 XP
  • Level 12 = 1259 XP
  • Level 13-99 = 1260 XP each (same amount for every level)
Gotta Train ‘Em All
Get 12 fighters in one The Gym category to gold
Silver
*Online* *The Gym*

Go to Main Menu > The Gym, or press Touchpad while in any menu.

Each fighter goes “Gold” at Level 14. This is when you unlock their final cosmetic reward and their icon turns into a golden belt in the Gym menu. So for this trophy you must get 12 fighters to Level 14 IN THE SAME CATEGORY. There are 10 Categories: Leg Choppers, Smashing Machines, Heavy Hitters, Snipers, Dynamic Strikers, Pressure Fighters, Unbreakable Fighters, All Rounders, Submission Hunters, Power Grapplers.

You can’t mix the fighters between categories. For example, you need 12x Level 14 fighters in the “Leg Choppers” category.
