The Ornate Box is a side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Ornate Box side mission.
- Starting Location: Vernworth
- Quest Giver: Auriol
- Requirement: Complete In Dragon’s Wake main quest
- Reward: 900 XP, 4000 G, Courtly Tunic, Courtly Breeches
- Quest Description: Amidst the bustle and clamor of Vernworth’s marketplace, you espy a young man arguing with the proprietor of one of the shops.
Objectives:
- Find out what’s going on
- Receive recompense from Sven in a few days’ time
Starting Location: The Ornate Box
To start this quest, you will need to leave the area (possibly resting outside of Vernworth) then return to the Merchant’s Quarter area where there is a scene of one of the shopkeepers arguing with someone.
Find out what’s going on
After the scene, go over and speak with the boy the shopkeeper was arguing with.
The boy asks you to give him some gold as he wants to buy the Box that the shopkeeper has. You can either give him the gold, or if you’re feeling generous buy the box directly and just hand over the box.
Receive recompense from Sven in a few days’ time
After obtaining the box, Sven leaves the area. You will need to wait for at least one day (you can rest at the inn if you like and have gold to spare) then Sven can be found sitting on the fountain in the center of the Merchant’s Quarter. Agree to speak with him, then the first encounter he will give you 200 G.
Repeat this two more times (resting then speaking to Sven at the fountain) and he will give you 300 G, then 500 G to complete the quest.
This finishes The Ornate Box side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
