Far Cry New Dawn Joseph’s Secret Walkthrough

Joseph’s Secret is a main story mission in Far Cry New Dawn. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of Joseph’s Secret Main Quest.

Joseph’s Secret Starting Location

This mission begins immediately after completing Eden’s Fire.

Follow the Father

Seed is looking as sane as ever.

Follow him up the path to whatever crazy nonsense he wants to show you. Be warned, he will dominate the conversation and not give you a chance to speak.

Well this isn’t fraught with allegory at all.

Find the Beast

You wake up in some nightmarish hellscape. You will have no weapons except for your bow, and not have access to crafted items except for your medkits. Take a second to craft some up to full capacity. No reason. Don’t worry about it.

Eventually you will see a pinkish flash, marking the Beast’s arrival. Get ready.

The Beast takes the form of a Monstrous Bear. complete with glowing red weak spot on its belly.

Move to its side to shoot it, or wait until it rears up for an easy target.

Dodge to the side as fast as you can when it charges you. Each of its swipes takes off about a quarter of your health, so be ready to use your medkits when needed and craft more while on the run.

Ignite the Fire Beacons

When you have done enough damage to the Beast it will disappear, and all four of the beacons in the area will go out.

Break out your fire arrows and light them all quickly, because the Beast cannot be killed until all the beacons are lit again. Damaging the Beast before that will only cause it to disappear in a flash and reappear someplace else.

Fight the Beast Within

Once the beacons are all lit again continue the fight, concentrating on shooting the Beast in the chest and avoiding damage. When the Beast drops below a third of its life, the beacons will go out again.

Ignite the Fire Beacons

Just like before, break out your fire arrows and quickly light the four beacons.

Fight the Beast Within

Something is different this time. Joseph tells you to unleash the power within you, and suddenly you’re bareknuckles boxing a bear. Baffling!

Every time you hit the bear it takes damage, then disappears.

Keep this up until you wake up and Joseph Seed speaks to you.

Then watch as Joseph confronts Ethan at New Eden. Unfortunately, he also puts you in the middle of whatever dysfunctional issues he has with his son. That’s probably going to be a problem.

Talk to the Father

Follow the waypoint to Joseph Seed and talk to him to complete the mission.

Not only do you get The Judge as a Gun for Hire, you also now have five new perks to spend points upon, special powers granted to you by Eden’s Gift.

Most of these abilities are excellent, so you might as well start pouring your points into them right away.

This concludes the “Joseph’s Secret” main mission in Far Cry New Dawn. Now the next Story Mission Homecoming starts immediately.
