Introduction

Welcome to the Far Cry New Dawn Trophy Guide! This is one of the quickest Far Cry platinums in the series and also a very easy one. Far Cry New Dawn takes place in the same world as Far Cry 5 with many of the same main characters. There’s only one semi-missable trophy and there are no difficulty-related trophies. Play the game how you want. Just like Far Cry 5, most of the singleplayer trophies are awarded to the Host only. Meaning if you are planning to play through the game in Co-Op the joining player won’t earn any trophies. So you have to be the Host or play it Solo to earn trophies.

Step 1: Story (Any Difficulty), Talk to 10 Scouts, Skin any Animals you encounter, Get All Guns for Hire

Play through the story how you want. The only semi-missable thing to look out for is Honorary Scout which requires you to talk to 10 Scouts in total. They will randomly appear in the wilderness or at liberated Outposts and give you info about undiscovered places. What makes this missable is when you buy all maps from the Cartography center or discover all places on your own (unlikely), then no more scouts will spawn because they have no more info to give you. But even then you can simply start a new game and go for 10 scouts right away. Just remember to get this trophy before buying any maps from Cartography and talk to any scout you randomly encounter.

Nothing else is missable and there are no difficulty-related trophies. Some of the combat trophies require perks that aren’t available until Act 2 and some companions are tied to story progress, that’s the reason why you should focus on the story first to unlock everything you need for other trophies.

Keep a look out for animals. This is to reduce the search later on. Kill and skin all animals you encounter (see Master Skinner for more info).

The game features 8 Guns for Hire which are companions to aid you in combat. It’s recommended to get them early to get the most use out of them. They can still be recruited after the story. See Far Cry New Dawn All Guns for Hire Locations.

Step 2: Collectibles

You can buy maps for the Collectibles from the Cartography center at Prosperity. After fully upgrading the Expeditions center you can airdrop to any location, which makes it much faster to reach any location in the game. There are the following collectible types tied to trophies, see their guides linked individually below:

Step 3: Miscellaneous & Combat Trophies

Mop up any miscellaneous and combat-related trophies you have left, in any order you like. Now that you’ve beaten the story you will have access to the Eden Perks which are required for several trophies.

Step 4: Expeditions

There are 7 Expeditions. You must beat each of them 3 times for trophy Hit the Road. The secret Sam Fisher Outfit is hidden in the 5th Expedition called Govnerment Plane Wreck, see trophy Paladin’s Secret. The only online co-op trophy in the game is also tied to Expeditions, see trophy Have Buddy, Will Travel.

A Note about Host only Trophies: You will notice that most trophies say “Host only” in their description. What this means is that if you play in Co-Op, only the person who is hosting (sent the invite to the 2nd player) will earn trophies. The joining player won’t unlock any trophies. You’re going to have to play through it solo to unlock trophies or make sure you’re the host if in Co-Op.

Conqueror
Earn all Trophies.
Earn all other trophies in Far Cry New Dawn to unlock Platinum (DLC not required).
The Meaning of Prosperity
Help Carmina get back to her mother in Prosperity. Host only.
Story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Finish the Prologue to earn this.
Prospering
Upgrade and secure Prosperity. Host only.
Story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Finish Act 1, Mission “Under Siege” to earn this.
Return to Eden
Bring the Father back to New Eden. Host only.
Story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Finish Act 2, Mission “Joseph’s Secret” to earn this.
Problem Solver
Solve the biggest problem in Hope County by defeating the Twins. Host only.
Story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Finish Act 3, Mission “Problem Solver” to earn this. This mission is one boss fight against Mickey & Lou. An easy way to defeat them is with the Legendary “Blunderbuss MG42” (requires fully upgraded weapon station). Focus on Mickey (Sniper Boss) first. Climb up the ladder on the back of the house she’s at. Then pump her full with one magazine of the MG42 and she will go down. Repeat the same for Lou (Flamethrower Boss). Remember you can replenish ammo and med kits infinitely in this boss fight via the ammo crates. One ammo crate is in the middle of the road, the other is up the hill where the mission started with a cutscene.
The End of Eden
Decide the fate of the Father. Host only.
Story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Finish the story.
A Graceful Return
Recover Grace’s prototype gun and welcome her back to Prosperity for good. Host only.
Story-related mission, cannot be missed. Complete Grace’s recruitment mission, marked on the map (available in Act 1).
Coming Up With the Goods
Return Selene’s valuable stash. Host only.
Story-related mission, cannot be missed. Complete Selene’s recruitment mission, marked on the map (available in Act 1).
Wiki-Bean-ia in Business
Help Bean get back his business plan so he can set up his intel network in Prosperity. Host only.
Story-related mission, cannot be missed. Complete Bean’s recruitment mission, marked on the map (available in Act 1).
The Ryeunion
Reunite Nick Rye with Carmina and Kim. Host only.
Story-related mission, cannot be missed. Complete Nick’s recruitment mission, marked on the map (available in Act 1).
Expeditious Retreat
Complete your first Expedition to force the Highwaymen out of a stronghold.

Honorary Scout
Gather intel 10 times by talking to Wiki-Bean-ia scouts. Host only.
*Missable*

Wiki-Bean-ia scouts are found in the wilderness and at liberated outposts. At the very top of the screen where it shows the compass, it will show you when a scout is nearby. They are random spawns and can show up just about anywhere. They have a blue rhombus icon above their heads. The most reliable way is to just liberate all outposts. Afterward there’s a good chance a scout will spawn in the outpost. You can also try fast travel between the outposts. If you don’t have any luck with this you can just drive all over the map, a Scout should show up near you every few minutes. Ideally, you should work on this as you play through the story, always talk to them when you see them. They reveal interesting locations such as Guns for Hire or Treasure Hunts.

Warning: This can become missable if you discovered all locations by yourself or bought the maps from Cartography center in Prosperity. Then the scouts have no more info to give you and stop spawning. However, you could simply start a new game and go for the scouts right away so it’s not that big of a deal if you missed this trophy.
Yoink
Loot a Highwaymen Supply Drop. Be careful, it won’t be unguarded!

While roaming around the wilderness, Supply drops will randomly be dropped by airplanes. The supply drops have yellow smoke coming from them and also have a red marker in the game world. When one is nearby it will also say “Supply Drop detected” in the bottom left corner of the screen. The fastest way to do this is to fast travel to any Animal Hunting Spot and stand around for 1-2 minutes. Just stay in the same location for a while and it will appear. Some enemies will also arrive to defend the Supply Drop. Defeat them and hold :square: at the Supply Drop to loot it.

Forager
Gather 15 plants growing in Hope County. It’s the closest thing to a pharmacy we have nowadays.

Plants grow everywhere in the wilderness. Just walk around for 10 minutes and you will find 15 plants. There are 3 types of plants:

  • Yucca – can be found in and near forests.
  • Bougainvillea – can be found near lakes and rivers.
  • Cistanche – can be found in caves and along roads.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Scavenge an Outpost. You can always reclaim it. Host only.
After you conquered an Outpost you will unlock a “workbench” in it. Interacting with it lets you scavenge the Outpost. This will reset the Outpost. It gives you 50 Ethanol (used to upgrade your base) but enemies will retake the Outpost and its difficulty increases. You can recapture the Outpost to get even more Ethanol and reset it again. Every time you do this the difficulty of the Outpost increases, but for this trophy you only need to reset (scavenge) it once and the trophy will pop right away.
Home is Where the Part Is
Upgrade Prosperity’s infrastructure for the first time by investing in the right parts. Host only.

Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks during Act 1 when you’ve used Ethanol to upgrade the main base. You gain Ethanol by capturing outposts, supply drops, and ethanol tankers.
Sidecar Sidekick
Drive with Timber for a total of 5 minutes. Just don’t take him to the vet.

First you’re going to have to free Timber the dog (one of the Fangs for Hire). He’s available from the start of Act 1. You can find him in this spot:

Then you have to complete his Side Mission Man Eat Dog World and he will join your Roster. Now go to a Garage and craft the vehicle “Rusty Sidecar” which is the very first one at the top of the vehicle list. It looks like a motorcycle with a sidecar. After crafting it press :triangle: to spawn the vehicle (this only works at liberated Outposts with a Garage, you can’t spawn vehicles at your homebase Prosperity). Make sure you assign Timber to your Roster so that he follows you around, then get in the Motorcycle and wait for him to jump in the Sidecar. Drive around for 5 minutes total (doesn’t have to be 5 minutes in one ride, your total times is added together).
White Gold
Commandeer an Ethanol tanker and bring it back to one of your outposts.

Stand on a street near any liberated Outpost and wait for an Ethanol Tanker Truck to drive by. This is somewhat random and may take a few minutes. Kill the driver and steal the Truck, then drive it to your liberated Outpost. If you stay close to the Outpost it’s really quick to do. Keep in mind the Ethanol Tanker is highly explosive so take out all surrounding enemies first.
Finders Keepers
Complete 3 Treasure Hunt missions. Host only.

You can buy a treasure map from the Cartography Center in Prosperity (available after recruiting Bean). It reveals all Treasure Hunt Locations. There are 10 of them in total.

Only 3 of 10 are needed for this trophy. Each one gives you 3 perk points and some premium Far Cry curency so it’s still worth exploring all of them. If you have trouble with any of these, refer to this guide:

Safekeeping
Picklock 5 safes. With no more banks, it’s the closest thing you’ll get to experiencing a heist.

First you’ll have to buy the perk “Lock Picking”. It allows you to open any safe. For 5 easy safe locations check the video above. You will mostly find them during treasure hunts in the treasure rooms. They are also found at many other named locations and there are much more than 5 of them.
Closed for Applications
Recruit all Guns For Hire. Host only.

There are 8 Guns for Hire. 2 of them (Carmina & The Judge) are automatic story unlocks. The other 6 are from side missions. You can reveal their locations on the map by talking to Scouts, or refer to the guide below:

*Bugged Trophy*
This is known to not unlock for a small number of players. It is recommended to make a manual backup save before recruiting the last Gun for Hire (PS4 Settings > Application Saved Data Manamgement > Copy to USB or PS+ Cloud). If it doesn’t unlock you can copy back the save to try again. If it still doesn’t unlock, reinstall the game and then copy back your save. Without the backup save you’d have to replay the game again.
How’s it Look, Doc?
Craft 10 Medkits. They’ll definitely come in handy.

You can craft Medkits in your inventory at any time. Press Touchpad :touchpad: and scroll to the Consumables section. Crafting Medkits requires 3 ingredients:

  • Bougainvillea = A blue Plant found near lakes and rivers. Just walk along any river or go to any lake in the game and you will find plenty of these.
  • Cistanche = A yellow Plant found in caves and along roads. The easiest way to get these is to drive along some roads and watch out for these yellow plants.
  • Meat = From looting dead animals.

You need 10 of each ingredient to craft 10 Medkits. If you already have enough materials a quick way would be is to craft as many Medkits as you can carry, then let some enemies at an Outpost hurt you on purpose and quickly heal youself. Rinse and repeat and craft new Medkits until you have made 10 of them in total.
Kill or Be Killed
Kill a Monstrous animal. It’d do the same to you given half the chance.

Monstrous animals are the strongest enemies in the game. They are the ones with yellow health bars and can take a lot of damage. There are 4 types: Monstrous Bison, Monstrous Boar, Monstrous Bear, Monstrous Cougar. To unlock their locations on the map simply upgrade the Cartography center at Prosperity (must have recruited Bean) and buy the maps from there. It’s recommended that you get a legendary weapon first to make the fight much easier. It doesn’t matter which of the 4 monstrous animals you kill, just one of them will suffice for this trophy.
Paladin’s Secret
Find Sam Fisher’s outfit in the Government Plane Wreck expedition

Government Plane Wreck is the 5th expedition. The starting location is randomized. Look for a rusted plane wreck (has a brown color tone). It’s the body of the plane and still has two wings on it. There’s also a blue ladder leading up inside the wreck. Enter the plane wreck. Interact with the Laptop on the ground level by holding :square: , it’s next to the only enemy on the ground level. This opens a secret vault upstairs. Go to the upper level of the plane wreck where 1-2 enemies are standing and interact with the vault door at the end of the room. The secret Sam Fisher Outfit is behind that door.
Before
Find all the Dear Photograph locations and see Hope County as it used to be. Host only.

My Little Fortress
Make Prosperity better than ever! Build all Infrastructure upgrades available. Host only.

To build out Prosperity you will first need to recruit all 5 Specialists (don’t confuse these with Guns for Hire). The Specialists are story-related main missions and cannot be missed. The game will force you to recruit all 5 of them in Act 2 to advance the story. To actually upgrade Infrastructure you need Ethanol. You get Ethanol by capturing Outposts, Supply Drops, and Ethanol Tanker Trucks. By far the fastest way is from Outposts because you can reset them infinitely and it gives you huge amounts of Ethanol every time. After you upgraded all facilities in Prosperity this trophy will unlock. Each facility has 3 levels.

  • Healing Garden
  • Cartography
Master Skinner
Collect at least one skin from every type of animal in Hope County. Not creepy at all.

Hit the Road
Complete 7 unique Expeditions on the Rank III difficulty.

There are 7 Expeditions in total. You must complete all of them on Rank 3 which is the highest difficulty. First, you must upgrade the Expeditions Center at your homebase Prosperity. Then you can talk to the Pilot to unlock Expeditions and start them from the Journal. Every time you beat an Expedition the difficulty increases. In total you must beat each Expedition 3 times (Rank 1 > Rank 2 > Rank 3). The Rank 3 will have a purple difficulty icon. After beating it 3 times you will have 3 stars on the Expedition to confirm you have beaten Rank 3. You do not have to beat it again when it got 3 stars on it.

All you do in Expeditions is to run to a pink Smoke Signal and pick up a package. Then run to a random extraction point and wait for the escape helicopter. It’s always random where you start, where the package is, and where the extraction point is. But the principle is always the same across all Expeditions. It’s highly recommended that you unlock Legendary Weapons first by upgrading the Weapons Workbench in Prosperity. Also stock up on some Medkits and Smoke Grenades, which can be crafted in the Inventory Menu.
Pure Ninja
Liberate a Rank III Outpost while staying undetected.

In order to make an Outpost Rank III you’ll have to scavenge (reset) it twice. Then the enemies will be of the purple grade and two enforcers (yellow grade) will also be there. It’s highly recommended you first get legendary weapons by fully upgrading the weapons workbench at Prosperity. The “Master Takedowns” perk also helps as it lets you stealth-takedown enforcers. The best weapon for this is the legendary “Blood Dragon Recurve Bow”. Arrows instant-kill all purple enemies. Keep in mind that Sniper Rifles don’t always instant-kill enemies, it might cause them to bleed out for 30 seconds which alerts all other enemies. Using the bow is the safest option.

The best place for it is the Outpost “Signal Point”. It’s the smallest Outpost in the game with lots of buildings (gives you cover) and the enemies are very close together. It’s easy to stealth kill everyone in quick succession here. For Enforcers use melee takedown as the bow would require two hits. Refer to the above video walkthrough for the best route.
All Your Bases
Liberate all Outposts at least once on Rank III.
There are 10 Outposts in Far Cry New Dawn. On the map they have black smoke coming from them. On the first visit they will be Rank 1. After capturing them you can reset them to increase the Rank. In total you must capture every Outpost 3 times. After the third time it will have 3 stars on it to confirm you’ve captured it at Rank 3 (purple difficulty icon). It’s highly recommended you get some Legendary Weapons first by upgrading the Weapons Workbench in Prosperity. Bows are really good as they instant-kill the enemies and you can walk over their dead bodies to get the arrow back. Also bring an Assault Rifle or MG in case you get detected. If you want to avoid reinforcements from coming, destroy the alarm switches first. Then even if you are detected they can’t call for backup. Fully upgrading your health at the Infirmary can also help, in case you get spotted.
Weaponsmith
Craft 3 weapons. They don’t need to look good, they just need to get the job done!
You can craft weapons at a workbench. You find a workbench at Prosperity (your main base) and at outposts. Craft any 3 weapons, the rarity level doesn’t matter. Crafting requires materials. The fastest way to get those is by playing Expeditions, which you unlock by talking to the Helicopter pilot at Prosperity.
You’re a Catch
Successfully catch one of every type of fish in Hope County. Get those omega-3s.

Save Your Bacon
Recruit Horatio. Don’t mind his temper, he can be pig-headed sometimes. Host only.

Horatio is one of the Fangs for Hire. See trophy “Closed for Applications”.
Poof!
Use 3 smoke grenades.

To craft smoke grenades, open the weapon wheel :l1: and press :up: / :down: to select Smoke Grenades in the Throwables section. Press :square: to craft.

It requires two ingredients:

  • Yucca = Plant found in forests. Just run through a forest and you’ll find lots of these.
  • Black Powder = From looting dead enemies (also from containers, and trading animal skins / fishes).

Once you have crafted them you just need to throw them for this easy trophy.
It’s Super Effective!
Headshot an Enforcer with Piercing Ammo.

First you must craft a weapon that can shoot Piercing Ammo. Every Assault Rifle & MG with purple or yellow rarity has this function. In the crafting menu weapons that support Piercing Ammo will have this icon: 

Low grade weapons don’t support it, meaning you must upgrade the weapon workbench at Prosperity first to get purple rarity weapons or better. You can buy this ammo by clicking on “Refill Special Ammo” at the weapon workbench.

To equip the ammo: Open the wheel, scroll over the weapon and press :r1: to switch ammo type. Now you just have to shoot an Enforcer in the head. They are the strongest enemies with yellow health bars. You can find 2 of them at every Rank 3 Outpost. Or alert a Rank 2 Outpost and one of them will come with the reinforcements.
Have Buddy, Will Travel
Complete 3 Expeditions with a co-op partner.

*Online Trophy, Requires Co-Op Partner*
To unlock Expeditions, talk to the Helicopter Pilot at the Expeditions hub in Prosperity. Expeditions can then be started from the Journal.

To invite a friend, go to the Title Screen, press the Touchpad and :x: to invite someone from your friends list. Alternatively, if you’re already in story mode you can press Touchpad and :r1: to scroll to the “Online” tab. There is no matchmaking in this mode! You’ll have to get someone to help you. If you don’t have anybody on your friends list, feel free to leave your PSN-ID in the comments below to search for other players.
Bring a Knife to a Gun Fight
Kill 25 enemies using any type of takedown. Put that railroad spike to good use!
You perform takedowns by sneaking up to enemies and pressing :r3: or by dropping onto them from above. Do a total of 25 takedowns any way you see fit to get this trophy. As you progress in the game enemies will become higher level and normal takedowns no longer work. There is a new Takedown perk for each enemy rank, which you must buy in the Perks Menu. This can easily be farmed by resetting outposts. You can keep track of how many takedowns you performed by going to Pause Menu > Ubisoft Club > Stats & Leaderboard. It took me 28 takedowns to unlock it so just keep doing more takedowns if it doesn’t unlock at 25.
Captain’s Courageous
Kill your first Enforcer. I’m sure this will send the Highwaymen a good message.
To make Enforcers spawn simply get detected at an Outpost. They are the enemies with yellow health bars, the strongest in the game. Kill any one of them, can be done at any outpost.
Good Job, Cap
Kill 5 enemies by throwing a shield at them.

Certain enemies, called Brawlers, carry big bulletproof shields. You need to kill them, grab their shield, and throw it at enemies with :r3: for a kill.

The best place for this is at the Outpost “The Island” (Rank 3). It’s the northern-most Outpost. It has to be at Rank 3! There will be 3 enemies with shields in this Outpost. One is at the north-east corner of the Outpost and two on the boat that patrols the area. Kill these guys and grab their shield. Be sure to have a decent pistol equipped to first damage the enemies before throwing the shield. The shield will cause roughly 50% damage. It’s best that you camp behind a corner and let the enemies come to you one by one. Unequip the shield when you don’t need it, by simply selecting a two-hand firearm from the weapon wheel. Otherwise, if enemies shoot the shield it gets destroyed. When an enemy is below 50% health you pick up the shield and throw it with :r3: .

It’s worth noting that this cannot be farmed via checkpoint restart or dying! Whenever you die or restart the checkpoint it will reset your kill count. You can, however, capture the Outpost and reset it again to make the enemies respawn. This way it can be farmed. You can easily get 5 shield kills in one run though, because you have 3 shield enemies (thus 3 shields) and they can be used for multiple throws each.
Stack ’em Up
Purchase the 5th tier of a stackable perk. You can never have enough.
Press the Touchpad > press :r1: to scroll to “Perks”. Buy the Perk “More Lung Capacity” 5 times, it’s the cheapest one to stack (costs 3 perk points per upgrade). Alternatively, the skill More Medkits or More Light Ammo / More Heavy Ammo costs 4 perk points per upgrade and has more gameplay use. If you don’t want to waste perk points you can make a backup save on USB or PS+ Cloud (PS4 Settings > Application Saved Data Management) and copy it back after getting this trophy, to get your perk points back.
Fly, You Fools!
No wings means less drag, right? Take a short flight in the wingless plane.

To unlock the Wingless Plane you must recruit Nick Rye, one of the story-related Specialists (unmissable). You can recruit him as early as Act 1 but will have to do so during Act 2 at the latest, when the story forces you to get all Specialists.

You can then spawn the Wingless plane at the Boat Shed of Prosperity. Simply select it from the vehicle list and press :triangle: to drive it. For this trophy you’re going to need some Dynamite. This can be crafted in the Throwables section of the weapon wheel (left of the weapon wheel by pressing :up: and :down: ).

Drive on a river and throw dynamite in the water, then drive over as it explodes to be catapulted up in the air. The plane will land back safely in the water and the trophy unlocks. The trick is to get the timing right. Just toss the Dynamite with :r1: and don’t keep it in your hands. When you’re driving at full speed that should get you the right timing. You can always craft more Dynamite if you need it.
Buzzkill
Kill 10 brawlers with any saw launcher. They never saw it coming.

Brawlers are the enemies with bulletproof shields. Here’s a picture of what a brawler looks like:

The best place to farm this is at the Outpost “The Island” (Rank 3). It’s the northern-most Outpost in the middle of a lake. Make sure the Outpost is Rank 3 then three brawlers will spawn. One is in the north-east corner of the Outpost and two are on a boat patrolling the area. Use any Saw Launcher you want, I used the legendary one called “Saw Launcher V.T” because it instant kills the enemies. Kill the 3 Brawlers with the Saw Launcher, capture the Outpost, reset the Outpost and repeat. You also don’t have to do 10 kills with the same Saw Launcher, it adds together the kills from all Saw Launchers you’ve used to kill Brawlers. You can also work on this throughout the game and kill all the Brawlers you see with a Saw Launcher.

Note: It doesn’t save your kills when you use Checkpoint Restart or get killed! This is why you must capture the Outpost every time to ensure the progress from kills gets saved.
Legend Has It
Craft your first Legendary Weapon or Vehicle and start a legend of your own.
First you’ll have to upgrade the weapon workbench (for weapons) or garage (for vehicles) to Level 3, which is the maximum. This is done at Prosperity (your main base). Upgrades require Ethanol which you earn by capturing Outposts and Tankers. Then you can craft Legendary items (yellow color). You can either pick a Legendary Weapon or Legendary Vehicle for this trophy. The fastest way to earn crafting materials is from playing Expeditions.
Tip o’ the Hat
Knock an enemy’s helmet off with a charged melee attack.
Enemies of level 2 and above (blue, purple, yellow) wear helmets. You need to hold :r2: and knock off their helmet with bare hands (select bare hands in weapon wheel). Don’t just tap :r2: but hold it for a moment to make it a “charged” melee attack.
Anger Management
Eliminate 10 enemies within a single activation of Wrath.

First you must buy the perks “Wrath”, “Eden’s Touch”. They become available during an Act 2 story mission so some story progress is required. Wrath lets you deal a lot of melee damage to enemies while Eden’s Touch is crucial to refill your Wrath gauge when performing takedowns. Normally, Wrath only lasts for a few seconds. The trick is to perform only takedowns with :r3: so that the Eden’s Touch perk refills the Wrath and it lasts much longer. Also get the perk “Master Takedowns” so you can take down Enforcers.

The best location for it is the Outpost “Signal Point” (Rank 3). It’s the smallest Outpost in the game with enemies very close together. Make sure the Outpost is at Rank 3 to make enough enemies spawn in it! Simply perform :r3: takedowns on every enemy in the camp. Let them spot you so they all get alerted and come running to you. No need to be stealthy, just sprint in and take out an enemy and let the others see it. Sprint from one enemy to the next and always tap :r3: . Sometimes it lets you do a takedown instantly. If the takedown prompt doesn’t come up during the sprint, walk around them in a circle while you keep hitting :r3: at all times. When you are behind their back you can do a takedown with :r3: which refills the Wrath gauge. Basically, you’ll want to get up in their face and hit :r3: while using the left stick to walk around them in a tight circle (while you keep punching the enemy) and when you’re behind their back it lets you do the takedown. Do this to all enemies.

Also try to do chain takedowns. This lets you instant takedown a nearby enemy. A button prompt will be displayed to perform the chain takedown, when available (pushing left stick in direction of the nearest enemy). With this method I was able to finish 10 kills with 25% of the Wrath Gauge still remaining. Keep in mind to only tap :r3: and not hold it for too long as holding it will deactivate Wrath. If you have any trouble refer to the path in the video guide. It’s worth noting that your starting position is randomized when scavenging (resetting) the outpost and fast-traveling to it, but it shouldn’t matter too much. Just make your first takedown on a group of enemies that is close together and the others will come to you.
Hey Father, Watch This
Perform an Aerial Takedown after using Leap of Faith.

This requires the “Leap of Faith” Perk. It becomes available during an Act 2 story mission so you must first advance the story a bit. It allows you to double-jump. All you need to do is double-jump on an enemy and press :r3: to perform a takedown. If you have trouble, make sure you’re in stealth and jump on an enemy that doesn’t move (e.g. at an Outpost).
Perk-olate
Unlock the first level for all Perks.

There are 30 perks in total. Buying the first level of all of them costs 182 Perk Points. The last row of perks only unlocks during an Act 2 story mission, meaning that some story progress is required first. You earn perk points by completing challenges. You can check this by pressing the Touchpad and going to the “Challenges” tab. 182 Perk Points may sound like a lot at first, but by the time you’re done with all other trophies you will have more than enough Perk Points without even trying. You get lots of points just for doing kills with every type of weapon, on every rarity level. That’s something that will happen naturally as you play. Another way to get 30 perk points quickly is from doing the 10 Treasure Hunts (takes about 30 minutes).

Archery Expert
Kill an enemy more than 100m away with a basic arrow.

The best bow for this is the legendary “Lucky Shot Compound Bow”. You can craft it at a weapon workbench (requires Level 3 weapons upgrade in Prosperity). This bow has a sight for 100 meter shots which makes this a lot easier (it accounts for the arrow drop on such a long distance). Go to the outpost “The Watering Hole” in the north-east of the map. It’s an open area with lots of enemies standing around. Get more than 100 meters away. Place a waypoint marker with the binoculars (requires Binoculars perk) to measure the distance. When it’s over 100m shoot an enemy that stands still. You may want to get really close to your screen to see it properly, as the enemy will appear tiny in the distance.
Get to the Point
Finish off an Enforcer with a bayonet.

First you must craft a weapon with a bayonet. Only certain Assault Rifles have bayonets, for example the blue-rarity “Makeshift AK-47” (requires one weapons workbench upgrade at Prosperity). Now you just need an Enforcer, which are the enemies with yellow health bars (the strongest in the game). You will always find two of them at Rank III Outposts or when you get detected at a Rank II Outpost one will spawn. Just scavenge any Outpost to increase the level. When you see an Enforcer, shoot him a few times to bring down his health, then press :r3: to melee him with the Bayonet. I used the legendary weapon “Radiation-Pink AK-MS” because it does more melee damage than lower rank weapons.
Springboard
Survive a 30m fall using only Leap of Faith to nullify the impact.

This requires the “Leap of Faith” Perk. It becomes available during an Act 2 story mission so you must first advance the story a bit. It allows you to double-jump. Air Drop to any fast travel point (if you have fully upgraded Expeditions Station at Prosperity) or simply jump out of a Helicopter. Just before landing you must press :x: to jump once.

      i have all 8 people to hire, but on the challenges it says 7/8 missions complete and of course the trophy hasn’t popped so i’m confused 🙁

    • So in the Guns for Hire menu all 8 are unlocked and you don’t have the trophy? Then it glitched on you. Maybe the trophy unlocked without the onscreen notification, happened to a friend of mine with another trophy in this game. So check trophy list too. If it’s not there, the only help is to reinstall the game, delete all Far Cry New Dawn save games (PS4 Settings > Application Saved Data Management) and start from scratch. Reinstalling often helps to fix trophy bugs. This would be an isolated incident though, haven’t heard of others having a glitch with this trophy.

    • 100m arrow trophy seems to be glitched I have had it dozens from 100-125 plus meter since away and nothing, idk if it’s because it’s been patched or what

    • The distance marker is probably just off a bit. Stand exactly where I did in the video guide and kill the same enemy I did. When you put markers on enemies on rooftops it actually puts the marker behind the building which leads to false distance display. If you get further away it should unlock.

    A lot of the game time does come from replaying the outposts or expeditions? How long is the story?

    Compared to Far Cry 5 this still looks like a lot of content.

    • Yeah a lot of it is replaying outposts to gather the Ethanol needed for your base. Upgrading the base is needed to advance the story.
      I’d say story 8h and remaining trophy mop-up 4h.

    • It’s in progress but no idea when it will be ready. 4 Games releasing on same day (Far Cry, Metro, Jump Force, Anthem via Origins on PC).
      There will be Metro guides but they might not be ready in time for release, it’s a much more time-consuming game than Far Cry with lots of missable trophies, close to 100 collectibles, different endings etc.

  28. So in case anybody is wondering about exact criteria for”Pure Ninja” its pretty lenient.I did it on Empty Garden from a hill near a zipline a bomb dog even blew up on me!You will get it as long as you never allow anyone’s grey sight indicator to fill at least i did.

    • Also if you use the highest rank sniper wih armor penetration bullets it might be easier than with arrows i think if you head shot the gold life barr dudes withh this it intant kills them but whatever works.

  40. The absolut easiest way to get pure ninja is to have the demented old sniper lady in your party. she will kill everyone, and i mean everyone with one or two shots. just point her towards and that means enforcers too.
    Just point her towards what you want to kill and stay out of trouble, she can get detected all she wants and it wont break the trophy. if she dies just revive her and keep going. boing trophy accepted.

  43. Hey PP I don’t know if you where aware, but I’m pretty sure you can get the Honorary Scout trophy to pop by repeatedly talking to the guy near the front gate of Prosperity. I did this by talking to him and getting the info he wanted to tell me and then I opened the map and used the Prosperity fast travel point and when the game reloaded he had something new to tell me.

    Now I didn’t get the trophy to pop from him, but after doing this a bunch of times I went and roamed around the world map for a bit and when I talked to the next scout I saw, the trophy popped.

    I can’t 100% confirm this so if anybody else want to try it that would be great.

    • I can confirm that you can also get this trophy by talking to people who have the “side quest” mark above their head. I bought all of the maps so I didn’t actually talk to any scouts – only people that told me where Nana, Horatio, Timber, etc were

    • For me they spawn after story. Was the first trophy I did after having finished the story. Might just be bad luck, go for other trophies first and odds are you’ll see a tanker randomly.

  145. For anybody needing the Anger Management trophy, as long as you’re holding a melee weapon you can use throwables while wrath is active. Use pipe bombs to kill any groups, and sweep up the rest with takedowns.

    • I got it… there were definite connection errors… when I invited the other guy, he got booted with an error message… when I joined him half the time it didn’t work with the same error… but he read on Google it’s due to a high ping issue… he tried leaving the home base and starting it up from there.. after each mission completed I’d get booted from the session, but it still counted for both of us. Thanks.

      I got two messages (in the hr? since I posted) from people asking to get it so there are plenty of people trying to get this annoying trophy. It’s not a bad idea, but sucks Ubisoft forced it for the platinum… it was my only remaining trophy… would have pissed me off if I couldn’t get the plat because of it…….
