Final Fantasy 16 (XVI) Brotherhood Walkthrough

Brotherhood is the 65th main story quest in Final Fantasy 16 (XVI). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Brotherhood main scenario chapter.

Starting Location: Eistla, Ash
Requirement: Complete The Last King

Quest Info: The mural at Gjallarhorn has revealed that it is not only Ifrit that Ultima covets for his vessel, but both Ifrit and the Phoenix. Their resolve renewed, the brothers Rosefield begin the final leg of their journey from Eistla to the capital.

Objectives:

Make for Stonhyrr
Slay the Akashic army
Make for the Mothercrystal
Approach Drake’s Spine

Make for Stonhyrr

At the start of the main quest, you are back with Joshua in the town of Eistla, with the goal of traveling through the final open-world section of the game. Before continuing you can return to the Hideaway to craft the final boss material sword or take care of a number of Notorious Marks that have now become available. When you’re ready to continue, follow the path leading north out of Eistla. Along your way, there is one new side quest available on the path, which you should grab as you complete it in the final area during this main quest.

Laid to Rest

When you reach the area The Great Southern Gate, make your way towards the large opening on the wall.

Slay the Akashic army

When you approach you will be attacked by waves of enemies that you need to deal with. This includes the normal Akashic and Orc soldiers, along with a number of Chocobo and finally an Akashic Tognvaldr.

After defeating the first waves the door will open, and some more enemies along with an Orcish Warlord will appear. Deal with this final group of enemies to progress.

Make for the Mothercrystal

With all the enemies defeated, you can now continue through to the other side of the wall.

Follow the stairs back down to ground level where the large field of Kritten Hollow and Vidargraes are located. There are enemies throughout this area, but you can avoid them if you wish and just make your way toward the objective at the end of the area. The road running through the area will lead you directly there.

Approach Drake’s Spine

After reaching the Vidargraes Obelisk you’ll automatically be put back on the world map, and can select Drake’s Spine to continue to the next main quest.
