Desperate Remedy is a side tale in Ghost of Yotei. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Desperate Remedy side quest.

- Requirement: Finished Prologue
- Reward: 750 Mon
- Quest Info: A wounded Matsumae won’t survive if I don’t get him medicine from Huranui’s Rest Inn. These samurai always need help.
Objectives:
- Buy herbs from the nearby inn
- Return to the wounded Matsumae
Starting Location: Desperate Remedy
At the front entrance of Moiwa Grotto, squeeze through the narrow gap to enter the cave. Talk to the people inside.
Buy herbs from the nearby inn
Go to the Huranui’s Rest Inn and talk to the guy wearing a white robe inside the inn. He’s in the smaller side room with another masked guy who has a spear on his back.
Return to the wounded Matsumae
Head back to the Moiwa Grotto and you’ll be ambushed by Chuta. After defeating him, talk to the Matsumae in the cave.
This finishes Desperate Remedy in Ghost of Yotei.
Note: This side tale is a prerequisite to get the “Iron Chuta” wanted poster on the Bounty Board. There you will hunt down Chuta who ambushed you outside the grotto. You can grab it from the bounty board at Huranui’s Rest Inn now. One of the easily overlooked bounties because it requires this hidden side tale first.
