Dead Freight is a Favour (Side Quest) for a Wayward Spirit in God of War 2018. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Dead Freight Favour.
- Quest Giver: Wayward Spirit in Forgotten Caverns
- Requirement: Earliest you can accept this quest is after completing the story missions “A New Destination”.
- Reward: Týr’s Cuirass Recipe, Týr’s Offering and 1880 XP
Starting Location Dead Freight – Region: Forgotten Caverns
Head to the West side of the map and dock your boat at the southern beach of the Forgotten Caverns, located here:
Make your way forward and a wayward spirit will appear and interrupt you. Speak to the spirit to accept the quest. Remember, once the quest has been accepted head into your Goals tab of your start menu and move over to the favours tab and track the favour to get the waypoint to show on your compass.
Kill the Hel-Walker Crew
Head to the Isle of Death here:
Get off the boat on the dock and head straight ahead. You will encounter a small wave of Hel-Reavers and a Hel-Shadow Scout. Continue up the Isle of Death until you reach the top landing. Once on the top head to the Southmost side where there is a rope heading downward. Slide down the rope to get to Iron Cove here:
Continue down the path and take down the Wulver. Once the Wulver is defeated follow the path bearing to the left. Drop down and destroy the rocks in your path. At the bottom landing will be a Hel-Walker and 2 shielded Hel-Walkers. Take them out and hop in the boat docked on the beach you are on. Sail to the northeast to the big tower. The dock is named “Niflheim Tower” and is located here:
Head to the top of the tower using the elevator and you will be ambushed by a group of Hel-Walkers. Defeat the 3 Hel-Walkers to progress the quest.
Return to the Tradesman Spirit
Head back down the elevator and get back to the boat. Sail back to the Forgotten Caverns to the spirit that gave you the quest. Speak to the spirit to complete the Dead Freight favour.
