Introduction
Welcome to the Little Nightmares 3 Trophy Guide! Little Nightmares III is an atmospheric adventure game in which you follow the journey of “Low” and “Alone”, two best friends in search of a way out of “Nowhere”. For platinum, you need to play through the game twice. Once as “Low” (character with the bow and black hair) and once as “Alone” (character with the wrench and orange hair). You need all collectibles, which are 25 Dolls, 6 Nomes, 10 Lady Statues & 5 Ghosts. You also have to do some miscellaneous tasks in each chapter to unlock certain trophies as well as use each character’s weapon a few times. There is also one online co-op trophy
Special Connection, which requires an internet connection and PlayStation Plus subscription. There is no local offline co-op.
Warning: It’s possible that you can not play in Co-Op due to the game gives you a lost connection to host error when you try to start a Co-Op game. If that happens, there is no known way to fix it, and you have to wait until the devs fix this problem.
Step 1: Collectibles & Miscellaneous Trophies Playthrough (4+ hours)
For this step, pick either “Low” or “Alone” as your character, it does not matter which one you choose first, because you have to do a full playthrough with each anyway. Play through the game and watch out for chapter-specific trophies. Below you find a list of the chapter related trophies and the order you should unlock them.
Follow the Little Nightmares 3 Collectible Guide to get all collectibles. Since you need 2 playthroughs anyway you could also do the collectibles and miscellaneous trophies on the second playthrough if you prefer.
- Chapter 1 “Necropolis”
- Chapter 2 “Candy Factory”
- Chapter 3 “Carnevale”
- Chapter 4 “The Institute”
Illuminating Experiences
Filed Away
Loose Threads
Institutionalized
Hand-Eye Coordination
Spiral Out
Low-Spirited (only if you played as the character “Low” for the whole game)
From Nowhere, With Love (only if you played as the character “Alone” for the whole game)
There are also two miscellaneous trophies that you can earn throughout the game, listed below.
Step 2: Second Character Playthrough (3+ hours)
Now that you know the game, you can pick the character you did not choose for your first playthrough. You don’t need to look out for anything if you followed the first step of the roadmap, except the trophy that is related to the character you choose. If you opted to do a playthrough for fun first, then you can go for all collectibles and miscellaneous trophies during your second playthrough.
Spanner in the Works (you can get this only by playing the character “Alone”, the character with orange hair.)
Bullseye (you can get this only by playing the character “Low”, the character with black hair.)
Step 3: Co-op and Cleanup
If you didn’t do it by now, beat Chapter 4 “The Institute” in Co-Op. Also, get any trophy you might have missed now. You don’t need to finish the entire game in co-op, only the 4th chapter must be played in co-op. Even if the other player hasn’t reached Chapter 4 you can invite them to it directly.

|
You earn this trophy in Chapter 3 “Carnevale”. Halfway through the chapter, you will reach a little shooting range. Here you will have to shoot plates with a Nome on it (a little creature with a triangle hat). Don’t shoot the other plates with the evil-looking guy on them, or the game resets. Above the range, you will see some lights, and the trophy unlocks after all nine lights are lit up. If playing in co-op, both players will get the trophy. NoHeroes94 says
Thanks for this. No split-screen is a huge shame as my wife and I were hoping to play this together.
For the co-op trophy/achievement, can you realistically control both or does it require active participation? I own two console so could play as my backup profile on my main console and primary profile on my backup console, but naturally, need to know if this is viable in-game wise.
HardyBoy says
I don’t wanna rule it out completely, but i don’t think it’s possible. Because some of the chase sections are pretty much impossible to do with two controllers, as the timing is really really tight.
Mike says
So, if you have two consoles, then what’s the problem with letting your wife play on the second one and going through the game together? I mean, that’s way easier than running back and forth with two controllers, isn’t it?
NoHeroes94 says
Yeh that’s what I’m going to do in this instance. Not the same as couch co-op for a full playthrough, but my plan for the achievement.
Ben says
Can you get the platinum solo using two controllers for that one co-op trophy?
HardyBoy says
Unfortuntaly no, Co-Op is online only. Best you can do is hoping they add a couch co-op mode later.
Japanese says
Do I need friends to earn online trophies?
Can I auto-match with people other than friends?
HardyBoy says
Yes you need someone to play with. There is no match making.

For Hand-Eye Coordination, with how janky some of the encounters are with the boss, does restart checkpoint help this cause at all? Or is it all or nothing?
TimesnineXix says
I did make one mistake and restarted checkpoint before it reset me and it didn’t pop. So I assume they account for it.
A says
For anyone having trouble with Hand-Eye Coordination, the best way is to back up before every encounter. I tried it, died at the end, then restored the save before the encounter and got it in the end.
Daniel says
I made a backup save during an encounter (when his palm is in the room where you hide under the table), which required me to close the app and still got the trophy – meaning you could probably get away with pausing and closing the app if you feel like you’re toast

If ANY of you guys are interested in getting the Co-op trophy, “Special Connection” along with me for the Platinum, I’d be more than happy to oblige. Having played Chapter 4 twice and multiple times for cleanup, i know my ways around the level so there’s no hesitation from my side
Its the very last achievement from getting the Platinum for me. I’ll even tip $10 as gratitude ;)

UPDATE 10/13/2025
So I just got the trophy and ended up getting the Platinum! (FINALLY atlast!) However, I’m more than willing to help anyone get their Co-op trophy. Just send me a message and a request. I already helped a few people get their trophies
My PSN: jensensational91.
I’ll be online ready to help Mon-Fri at around 5:30 pm or 6pm (Eastern Standard Time, since i live in NY) after i get home from work. Weekends i’ll be available most of the time unless something comes up (hangouts with friends, social engagements, family events, errands)
A few things to remember,
> Some sections at Chapter. 4 Institute, are a little glitchy (Chase sequences, platforming sections, doll distortion sections, and the end finale section) But regardless of the issue, i suggest to KEEP ON trying as there are save points within these sections.
> Also there are save points in a Host’s session once a gameplay has started. The game tells you this. So if you get kicked out by mistake because of connection error issues, Don’t worry…..Have the host send an invite again, and you’ll be back wherever you last left off at (even if its in the middle or towards the end of the chapter)
> If a player keeps getting booted out at the beginning, have the other player host the session. A plug and socket icon may show up indicating poor connection. Don’t worry, just keep playing. But if you keep getting a “lost connection to host error” when you try to start a Co-Op game, there’s no way to fix it atm, and you would have to wait until the devs fix this problem as mentioned in the introduction of this page.
> When running as Low or Alone, don’t run very close to the other player’s character as if they’re both super imposed. Keep a little distance from the other character since chase sections may start to glitch. If that happens, you may keep getting caught. Even in the single player campaign, the AI is always faster than you at the very last section. So keep a healthy distance from your partner.
As always, Happy gaming beautiful people!!
Rei says
With collectibles and stuff, is it possible to get all the trophies with co-op or do trophies only pop for the host?

So, for Hand-Eye Coordination, do you have to restart the entire chapter if you get caught even once? That seems like a pain. Or can you just restart the last checkpoint?
sinar_bcn says
Yes, you need to restart the entire chapter.
However, on PS5 I disabled the automatic synchronization and, before each interaction with the boss, I uploaded a local save copy to the cloud. If I was defeated, I restored that save. This method allowed me to progress interaction by interaction without having to replay the entire chapter every time.

For Birdbrained, I got it playing as the wrench girl. You just have to scare them off. You can have Alone shoot them with triangle, but also, you can juat walk near them. You don’t need to play as Alone, and you only have to have Alone shoot the ones you can’t reach.
