Introduction

Welcome to the Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2: Loose Cannon Trophy Guide! Loose Cannon is the first of two DLC packs planned for Bloodlines 2. This DLC following Benny Mulldoon occurs between the two points in the main story where Phyre interacts with him, explaining what he was doing and some of his motives. It also comes at the same time as a bunch of fixes for the main game, and some extra items for Phyre which requires you to play through some more of the main game.

Loose Cannon itself is quite short, only taking around an hour for a playthrough unless you are trying to find the collectible locations on your own. You’ll need to use Benny’s set of powers in specific ways similar to the main game, along with doing a full playthrough on both Casual and Hard difficulty.

Step 1: Either Casual or Hard Playthrough

First you should decide whether you want to do either the Casual or Hard playthrough first.

You have to beat the DLC on Casual difficulty for Easy Street, and again on Hard difficulty for Mean Streets.

If you do Casual then you will just be able to complete the story and earn the three mission completion trophies, as you can’t earn any of the other trophies on Casual difficulty. If you decide to do Hard first you can complete everything in this playthrough except the Casual completion which will still need to be separate. Remember you can pick up consumables from defeated enemies around Seattle, but on Hard you can only carry 2 of each and the game gives you a full inventory at the start of the indoor areas during the two quests that involve fighting, so you don’t need to go too out of your way on Hard for them.

Step 2: Remaining Difficulty Playthrough + Cleanup Combat Trophies

After the first playthrough, you’ll need to complete the other remaining playthrough on either Casual or Hard. If you played on Hard first but didn’t manage to complete all combat trophies, you can also start an extra playthrough on Easy and quickly clean up any remaining ones right at the start in the open world.

Step 3: Main Game Trophies

The final step should be cleaning up the two trophies that require playing the main game, which should take around an hour max if you need to start a new playthrough to reach the boss fight with Benny again. See Double Trouble, I Got the Sheriff.

	Cleaned Up the Town Destroy 20 thin-blood Anarch leaders across Seattle.
This trophy is for defeating all 20 thin-blood Anarch leaders across Seattle in the DLC. These function as a form of collectible like the ones in the main game, except they are the higher level enemies that were found throughout the main game, such as the sledgehammer, dual SMG, or invisibility enemies. You are pointed toward some of these with a red scent trail that appears with Heightened Scenes, but the rest only appear with the clue reticle that grows when you are near and looking toward them like the collectibles in the main game. This must also be done on a difficulty above Casual, as the game seems to count it as a “combat” trophy even though it is tracked like a collectible. » Thin-Blood Anarch Leaders Locations Guide
	Straight Shooter As Benny get 50 headshots in a single playthrough.
Unlike Phyre in the main game, Benny has a gun that he keeps permanently and can aim like a traditional first person shooter. It holds up to 30 bullets at a time, and you need to find ammo from walking over dead enemies or from boxes in certain areas to obtain more. Using the gun, get a total of 50 headshots during a single playthrough. This counts as total bullets hit, not enemies defeated, so as long as you place your shots you can get this fairly early in the playthrough.
	Kicked in the Teeth As Benny defeat 5 enemies by kicking objects, weapons or explosives at them.
While playing as Benny if you move backward and dodge then attach this should cause Benny to perform a kick, which should propel any objects such as weapons away from you to damage enemies. This is most easily done during the two indoor fight missions, though both have a limited number of available enemies so you could try earning as many as possible during “The Meet” then try kicking weapons at enemies in Seattle before progressing. This may also count other actions that can propel items, such as using the heavy attack with the sledgehammer (hold ) dropped by certain heavy enemies, as this also sends out a shockwave that will propel items.
	Staying Hungry As Benny keep Spark of Rage active for 6 seconds or longer.
Spark of Rage is the top of the line ability Benny has, the same as the Brujah perk in the main game. You will need to kill enemies in quick succession to activate the passive, which automatically triggers the passive ability Brutality, increasing your outgoing damage. This is relatively easy to do with Benny’s gun on a decent sized group of enemies.
	Too Hot to Handle As Benny disarm 3 opponents while blurred momentum is active
Benny has access to two columns of perks he can choose between, with Blurred Momentum being one of them. You will need to specifically select it as it is on the column he doesn’t start on. After using it, you then need to disarm a total 3 enemies while the ability is active. You can do it during three separate activations, it doesn’t need to be in one go. The two ways Benny can disarm enemies is by using Taunt which will cause enemies to drop their weapons, or by using Terminal Decree on heavy enemies which causes them to be staggered and drop their weapons instead of dying.
	Double Trouble As Phyre have a conversation with Benny wearing Benny’s outfit and glasses.
In the Main Game, as soon as you have the DLC installed you can use Benny’s outfit in the main game while playing as Phyre. This means “The Maverick Cop” at the bottom of the OUTFITS list, along with the glasses with the LC in the bottom left in the FACE list. Other outfit items you select don’t matter, it just must be these two. Once you have both of these equipped, you need to encounter Benny during one of the two times you speak to him while wearing them. If you’re past the first part of the story, then you will need to do this in a new playthrough due to Benny completely disappearing from the story after his boss fight, but you can earn this from the first scene where you encounter him immediately after leaving the Haven after choosing your clan for the playthrough. If you have a save in between before his boss fight, then this should also could in the other scene where you speak to him before the boss fight.
	I Got the Sheriff As Phyre defeat Benny on Hard Difficulty.
In the Main Game, you must defeat Benny during the main quest “A Star of Cold Aspect” while playing on Hard difficulty. If you have an existing save during that quest you can start from there, if not you can start a new playthrough on a lower difficulty and then rush to the boss fight in around an hour. You don’t need to do the entire fight on Hard difficulty, only be on Hard when you feed on him in the third health bar to end the fight, so you can play on a lower difficulty and switch it right before you finish and earn the trophy.
	Black Hole Sunshine Confront Mr. Sunshine.
Story-related, cannot be missed. This trophy is for completing the main quest “The Meet”. This quest involves fighting through a bunch of enemies in the Seattle underground in a flashback.
	Man in the Box Resign your post as Sheriff.
Story-related, cannot be missed. This trophy is for completing the main quest “The Drop”. This quest just involves a couple dialogue scenes setting up the story.
	Hunted Down Tail Katsumi’s courier.
Story-related, cannot be missed. This trophy is for completing the main quest “The Tail”. This quest involves following a person walking around on ground level until they reach their destination. Stay on the rooftops to easily avoid being noticed.
	Easy Street Complete Loose Cannon on Casual Difficulty.
This trophy is awarded for completing all DLC quests on Casual Difficulty. For the trophy to unlocked you must specifically be playing on Casual and not any other difficulty option. Casual difficulty is extremely easy, you defeat most enemies in a single attack and take very little damage, so you can run through this playthrough extremely quickly. The thing to note though is that the combat related trophies cannot be earned on Casual difficulty, so be aware of this if you are doing it first.
	Mean Streets Complete Loose Cannon on Hard Difficulty.
This trophy is awarded for completing all DLC quests on Hard Difficulty. For the trophy to unlock, you must specifically be playing on Hard and not any other difficulty option. Hard difficulty is significantly more challenging than Casual, but shouldn’t be a huge challenge for the DLC due to the fact there are only two missions that involve combat. Throughout both keep a look out for consumables dropped by enemies, and try to save them for the boss fight against Mr. Night in The Meet, and for the final room in the construction site in The Sting. During The Meet in the flashback you are given two of each consumable at the start, so you will have a max inventory (for what Hard difficulty allows) from the start of the mission, and then keep any of these consumables after so you can go into The Sting with a full inventory. There is no actual boss in The Sting, so you can use all of the consumables around the room and use the whole area to your advantage instead of just staying on the floor. The most dangerous part of the whole DLC playthrough is the enemy that uses shield potions in the final set of enemies in The Sting. Try to take them out as soon as possible and don’t try to feed on other enemies near them, as they’ll go behind you and deal large amounts of damage and possibly kill you, requiring you start the whole fight over. Ability wise the two best to mainly use are Lightning Strike and Split Second. Lightning Strike you can use either to deal damage to groups of weaker enemies or a single heavy, and Split Second allows you to take out most heavy enemies on their own by using it to slow down time, going behind them and attacking them for the duration of the slowdown, then feeding on them to immediately regen the ability charges. Earthshock is the main other useful one for room where large groups of enemies spawn at once, such as the second last room in the construction site before you drop into the boss room, just be aware it takes 5 ability charges to regen so you need to feed on the normal enemies or use a consumable to quickly regenerate another use. Benny’s gun is decently useful at the start, but extremely useful during the final mission due to the incendiary bullets. Hitting normal enemies with them will stun them and slowly drain their health, allowing you to use it to distract the normal enemies while you deal with more dangerous ones.
