Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker Trophy Roadmap

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 5.5/10 (a few of the bosses in VR missions like Perfect Susano are very hard and require good teamwork, everything else is very easy)
  • Approximate amount of time to platinum: 150-200 hours (You need to play 1000 Matches, it’s 7-10 minutes per match with loading times and you must also complete all VR Missions)
  • Trophies: 48 (1trophy, 3trophy, 8trophy, 36trophy)
  • Offline Trophies: 36 (0trophy, 3trophy, 33trophy)
  • Online Trophies: 12 (1trophy, 3trophy, 5trophy, 3trophy)
  • Hardest Trophy: To Greater Heights (especially the B-Rank VR Mission called “Perfect Susano’o Showdown” has a very hard boss fight)
  • Number of missable trophies: 0
  • Glitched trophies: 0 (though there are reports that single trophies randomly glitch out for some players, which can happen to any trophy randomly but that’s rare)
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: No, there are no difficulty options.
  • Minimum Playthroughs: 1

Introduction

Welcome to the Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker Trophy Guide! In order to platinum this game you will need an internet connection and PlayStation Plus. It’s an online-centric fighting game in the Naruto Universe. Unlike previous games, this one focuses less on story and more on 4v4 online battles and co-op missions. There are still some playable characters from the original cast in the game but it pushes you to use your own custom-made character, unlock new Ninjutsu moves and unlock clothing and weapons to fine-tune your stats. That said, the game doesn’t explain the stats at all. At the Inn, you can double press :triangle: on an item to view its stats. All clothing has some effect and every weapon has different damage, range, speed, hit rate. There are also 4 character classes and teamwork is the key to winning. Trophies are all for PVE Missions and PVP Multiplayer. Nothing is missable.

Step 1: PVE – VR Missions

VR Missions are the game’s “story” mode. You can play them at the VR Ninjutsu Arena as is explained in the tutorial at the start of the game. To unlock new missions you must talk to NPCs around the village. Your level does not matter, just find the villagers, talk to them, get their quest, talk to them again to complete the quest, look for the next villager.

Refer to this guide for the Mission Unlock Order and where to find the villagers: Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker: How to Unlock All VR Missions

It’s significantly easier when you play in 4 player online co-op. Solo some defense missions can be very challenging but with 4 players it’s not too bad. For trophies and progression it does not matter if you do them solo or in co-op.
The VR missions come in multiple ranks. You have to complete every single one of them, including the S-Rank difficulty. While you work on them, be sure to select a VR master and pick a new one after they have reached level 5.

Step 2: PVP – Level 5 with All Masters / Unlocking Ninjutsus / 100 Matches with each Class / 100 Wins in Combat, Base, Flag Battle

Now follows the PVP section which will take up the most of your time towards platinum.

The trophy list is very straightforward, lets go through the tasks:

  • Reach Level 5 with all VR Masters: First you must unlock the masters, see Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker: How to Unlock All VR Masters. Then select them in the Ninjutsu Library. With each one you must reach 1800XP (5 gray Shuriken). This also unlocks their Ninjutsus for use with your own custom character. You will already have gained some levels from doing VR Missions. The PVP is much more effective for leveling them. Wins give twice as many Master XP as losses so keep that in mind. After the match it shows the Master XP in the results screen (bottom right corner). When you hit 1800XP go back to the Library and change the master.
  • Learn Every Ninjutsu: Ninjutsus are like your special moves, they can be viewed at the Inn. You unlock them by bringing all VR Masters to Level 5. The rest is from playing a lot of PVP with each character class. The more you play with a class, the more Ninjutsu moves you unlock for that class.
  • 100 Matches with each Class: Simply complete (win or lose) 100 matches with all 4 custom character types: Attack, Ranged, Defense, Heal. Losses count too.
  • 100 Wins in Combat, Base, Flag Battle: Win 100 matches in these 3 game modes. Sometimes a match type is unavailable. You can see the currently available ones at the Hokage’s Estate (highlighted in top right corner). This is best done in quick matches. In matchmaking you can press Touchpad to see the match type (right side of screen). If it’s not the desired one, leave matchmaking and search again.

Step 3: PVP – 1000 Matches Played

The most tedious trophy “Veteran Ninja” is for playing 1000 Matches. It doesn’t matter if you win or lose. The good news is that this gives you enough time to unlock all other trophies through natural gameplay along the way. If you’re still missing the trophy for learning every Ninjutsu, be sure to check the Inn with what class you have the least Ninjutsus and keep using that class in battle. One match with loading times and matchmaking lasts 7-10 minutes. That’s 116 – 166 hours for 1000 Matches. With a really good team you can win the matches faster.

Trophy Glitch Warning: There are single reports of some trophies randomly glitching. This is a rare issue and doesn’t happen to one trophy specifically, rather it can happen to any trophy (again, this is very rare). To prevent that, it’s recommended that you make a manual save game backup at least once a day (PS4 Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Copy to USB, or if you use Cloud be sure to disable automatic upload). Especially before the most tedious trophies such as beating all VR Missions you should make a backup, just to be safe. If a trophy doesn’t pop you can delete the game, reinstall it, copy back your save, redo the trophy requirement. In all likelihood you will be fine and get through it without glitches, but better safe than sorry.

Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker Trophy Guide

Perfect Ninja
Acquired all the trophies.
Earn all other trophies in Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker to unlock Platinum (DLC not required).
Power Squad
[Battle] Won 100 Combat Battles.
Go to the Hokage’s Estate up the stairs to start PVP matches. There are Quick Matches and Ninja World League. In the top right corner in Hokage’s Estate you can see the currently available match types. Sometimes a match type is unavailable. In that case, check back later to see if the available modes have changed.

For trophies you must win 100 Combat Battles (Power Squad), 100 Flag Battles (Ninja Incarnate), 100 Base Battles (Ruler of the Battlefield).

Make sure you pick a mode that has the desired match type highlighted. In quick matches it randomly throws you into one of the available modes. After you join a lobby you can press Touchpad to see the match type on the right side. If it’s not the one you need, press :l1: to leave matchmaking and search again.

You should combine this with your 100 wins for each character class. For “Veteran Ninja” you must play 1000 Matches total, so getting 300 wins shouldn’t be too difficult.

  • Combat Battle: The team that defeats the most enemies wins. This is a lot about role management, you should have 1 healer and 3 damage dealers on your team. If everyone else plays an attack/ranged type, you should take the healer role to support your team.
  • Base Battle: Defense Type with the Sand Shield Ninjutsu is really overpowered here. You get the Sand Shield Ninjutsu from leveling up Gaara as your VR Master (he’s an unlock from VR Missions). The Sand Shield lasts long enough to capture a base and nobody can break through you are completely guarded in the meantime, enemies won’t be able to do anything to stop you.
  • Flag Battle: The first team to bring home 3 flags from the enemy base wins. The flag carrier loses speed so team support is vital. You must also defend your own base from attackers.
Ninja Incarnate
[Battle] Won 100 Flag Battles.
See trophy “Power Squad”.
Ruler of the Battlefield
[Battle] Won 100 Base Battles.
See trophy “Power Squad”.

Professor
Learned every Ninjutsu.
You learn Ninjutsus by leveling all masters to level 5 and from playing 50 quick matches with each custom character class (Attack, Ranged, Defense, Heal). You unlock new Ninjutsu after 10/20/30/40/50 matches played.

Just complete all VR Missions and then work on the trophies for completing 100 matches with each class and getting Level 5 with every Master. Along the way you will unlock every Ninjutsu.

*Thanks to Leo_the_Lion25 for confirming the PVP unlocks.

Veteran Ninja
[Battle] Took part in 1000 battles.
Played a total of 1000 PVP Matches in Quick Match or Ninja World League. You don’t have to win them, just play them from start to end. Losing also counts as a completed match.

This is by far the most time-consuming trophy in the game. With loading times and matchmaking, it takes between 7-10 minutes per match. With a good team you can finish in 7 minutes.

That’s 116 – 166 hours for 1000 Matches. If you have a group of 4 players who know what they are doing, you can team up to get faster wins.

Fighter of All Trades
[Battle] Completed 100 battles as an Attack Type.

Having difficult getting the trophies that deal with types of battles I’ve played 60 battles lost 20. So out of that 40 I should have atleast gained the trophies for winning 10 battles.

Could you tell me what I’m doing wrong?
