SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake – Medieval Sulfur Fields Collectible Locations

January 30, 2023 by FranciRoosters 1 Comment

Medieval Sulfur Fields in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake contains 19 Collectible Locations. Everything that’s needed for trophies and 100% completion is included in this guide. Nothing is missable, everything can be collected after the story.

  • 11 Coins
  • 7 Potion Ingredients
  • 1 Spot Location
  • 1 Golden Spatula (Secret)

For other levels refer to SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake – Collectible Guide.

Available during first Playthrough

Coin 1 (Cloud Slide checkpoint): during the starting sliding section, you’ll eventually have to ride a hoverboard to get through some rings of fire. Don’t, but instead use the hoverboard to reach a hook slightly on the right. Make your way to the next slide and at the end you’ll fly into the coin.

Coin 2 (Castle Courtyard checkpoint): halfway through the level, after the maze, you’ll reach the castle’s drawbridge. When you get here, drop down into the moat area and ride the boulder. Follow and destroy all barrels and when you get back to the starting area, you’ll find this coin next to the fisherman NPC.

Coin 3 (Castle Courtyard checkpoint): after collecting the three colored keys, you’ll have to chase a unicorn while riding a seahorse. During the chase, ride as high as possible, making sure you stay on the right and you will run into it.

Coin 4 (Twitchy’s Cottage checkpoint): in the next area, reach the witch’s hut. Face the witch, then turn around and you should see a bubble switch in the distance. Glide over to the pillar next to it, activate it, walk along the platform that appears and you’ll be able to collect this con on a higher pillar.

Coin 5 (Meanderson River checkpoint): after meeting the witch, you’ll be tasked with finding 4 pro-aging creams. Continue down the main path and you’ll reach some rapids. Here, follow the path down and to the left, through the rings and when you see an inflatable platform, drop down. Destroy the wall of tiki and you’ll see this coin behind the waterfall in front of you.

Golden Spatula (Meanderson River checkpoint): as you go picking up the pro-aging creams, you’ll eventually have to cross the river by jumping onto some moving platforms. After reaching the ground, you’ll have a trunk to go through on your path, and some ledge to climb up on your left. Go through the trunk and defeat all enemies, then climb up the side platforms and over the trunk tunnel. Then, make your way to the Golden Spatula using the blue tiki.

Spot Location (Meanderson River checkpoint): now retrace your steps and climb up the ledges, then turn your camera to the left to spot an inflatable pad. Form here, board the hoverboard and go to the other side of the river to find Spot on a ledge.

Coin 6 (Bard Audition checkpoint): once inside the castle grounds, go the leftmost back end of the fair courtyard and press the switch to initiate a karate kick mini game. Destroy all karate kick balloons in the courtyard to obtain this coin.

Coin 7 (Bard Audition checkpoint): once on top of the castle grounds walls, press the purple switch near the castle doors to start a hoverboard race. Finish the race in time to obtain this coin.

Coin 8 (Dormitory Hall checkpoint): once inside the castle, you’ll have to climb your way up a room full of beds. When you get to the first jumping pad, don’t jump through the rings. Instead, turn around and jump on the platform with a bigger jelly. From here, follow the path behind the pillars to the bed with the coin.

Available only in second Playthrough

Coin 9 (Garden Maze checkpoint): when you reach the maze, look for a purple Reef Blower switch near the fountain. Complete the challenge to obtain this coin.

Coin 10 (Garden Maze checkpoint): now enter the maze, go left, through the red arch, then right and right again and you’ll find a Reef Blower. Use it to suck the mushrooms and shoot them at the purple goo barrier. Now continue through the maze destroying purple goo barriers (they’re all very easy to see) and you’ll eventually find the coin atop a stump.

Coin 11 (Twitchy’s Cottage checkpoint): when you enter the castle grounds, ride the seahorse. At the end of the track, drop down to the right to find a Reef Blower. Clear the area of all purple goo barriers. Behind a goo barrier is this coin.

As part of Gary the Slug’s side quest, you’ll need to collect 7 Potion Ingredients scattered throughout the level. These spawn only after talking to the Witch. So, progress through the level and collect all Coins up to the witch’s hut. Then, talk to her to start the collectible hunt and then follow this order:

Potion Ingredient 1 (Twitchy’s Cottage checkpoint): glide over to the open trunk to find this.

Potion Ingredient 2 (Meanderson River checkpoint): continue to the river area and facing the river, you’ll find this on the far right, towards the waterfall.

Potion Ingredient 3 (Castle Courtyard checkpoint): check the blacksmith hut.

Potion Ingredient 4 (Castle Courtyard checkpoint): under the drawbridge.

Potion Ingredient 5 (Bard Audition checkpoint): check the left side from the entrance.

Potion Ingredient 6 (Cake Ballroom checkpoint): you’ll find this ingredient on a beam next to a sitting NPC.

Potion Ingredient 7 (Garden Maze checkpoint): enter the maze and immediately turn right.

That’s 100% of the collectibles you can find in Medieval Sulfur Fields in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake.

There’s a bug where I can’t get the gold coin no. 10, the purple goo isn’t there, and I can’t get through, effectively locking me in from getting 100% and the platinum, isn’t there workway around?
