Available during first Playthrough

Coin 1 (Scurvy Swamp checkpoint): a bit after the beginning of the level you’ll be tasked with rescuing 12 anchovies. After freeing the first anchovy, head right and you’ll soon come across a wall of stone tiki defended by two explosive ones. Blow up the wall and platform your way through the cave. At the end of the cave you’ll find this coin.

Golden Spatula (Musical Mermaid checkpoint): halfway through the level, a bit after learning how to boost-glide, you’ll come to a ship with a mermaid NPC you need to talk to to progress. Instead of talking to her, climb the nearby platform by means of the blue tikis.

Coin 2 (Shipwreck Treasure checkpoint): much later into the level, you’ll have to use a sling to reach a new area. When you get here, make your way to the tilting ship, them jump on the left blu tikis under the hanging cage to reach this coin.

Spot Location (Shipwreck Treasure checkpoint): return to the tilting ship and get under the other cage to hop on a hoverboard. Ride it to the sunken mast where Spot is.

Coin 3 (Port Jelly Royal checkpoint): when you reach the port (unmissable, story-related event), make your way to the rooftops of the buildings and you’ll find it above a stack of tiki on the last rooftop.

Coin 4 (Port Jelly Royal checkpoint): when you reach the second set of buildings at the port, use the jumping pad behind the rightmost building to get to the rooftops. Platform your way through the path until you reach the very last rooftop with a stack of tiki and the coin above them.

Available only in second Playthrough

Lost Penny 1 (Bongo Beach checkpoint): shortly after the beginning of the level, you’ll have to use a sling to get to a new area. While in this area, proceed to the middle island with the target and face it. On your left is a ship and on your right a waterfall. This lost penny can be found on the island right of the waterfall, near a shipwreck.

Coin 5 (Bongo Beach checkpoint): return to the middle island with the target and face it. On your left is a ship and on your right a waterfall. Go to the island left of the waterfall, destroy the tiki and use the jumping pad in front of you to access a small platform on the right. In here is a small grid on the ground with the coin inside. Simply double jump and to access it.

Lost Penny 2 (Scurvy Swamp checkpoint): continue through the level until you reach the swampy area with the big tree in the middle. Reach the tree and face it. Behind the tree on a small platform connecting the tree island with the outer rim is this lost penny.

Coin 6 (Scurvy Swamp checkpoint): reload the Scurvy Swamp checkpoint, drop down and go left. Continue on past the two ships and near the second ship is a ledge with another grid. Simply double jump and to access the coin.

Lost Penny 3 (Sand Castle checkpoint): as soon as you reach the sandcastle, destroy the wall of tikis in front of you to find this lost penny behind them.

Lost Penny 4 (Port Jelly Royal checkpoint): continue through the level and you’ll eventually reach the port. When you get to the second section of the port, after leaving the second ship, check the right side for a small wooden lifeboat with the lost penny.

Coin 7 (Admiral Prawn checkpoint): after the port, you’ll eventually get to an island by means of a ring boost. When you get here, don’t interact with the sling. Instead, go opposite it to find a grid in the sand with the coin. Double jump and to get to it.

Lost Penny 5 (Shipwreck Treasure checkpoint): load the checkpoint Shipwreck Treasure and you’ll find this lost penny on your right as soon as you load in on a sunken mast.

Coin 8 (Musical Mermaid checkpoint):: load the checkpoint Musical Mermaid and you’ll find this under a grid on your right past some wooden platforms as soon as you load in.
