Introduction
Welcome to the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Trophy Guide! Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a third-person action co-op game in which we go into battle to fight against Tyradine hordes. The game is relatively short and the campaign can be completed in about 6-10 hours. There are a total of 6 campaign missions and 6 operations to complete. Along the way you should collect all Dataslates. After this the grindy part begins towards Platinum. The campaign and operations can be played solo, but you will need a PS+ Online membership to earn all the trophies from the PVP mode ‘Eternal War’. The Eternal War mode is also the only mode that cannot be played solo. There you compete against a total of 16 other players.
Step 1: Play the Campaign, collect all Dataslates, mark every Enemy Type [10 hours]
Play through the 7 Main Missions and the 6 Side Operations. They take place over three planets (Kadaku, Avarax and Demerium). Along the way, collect all 35 Dataslates. If you miss a Dataslate you can still replay everything later. Each mission has between 2-4 Dataslates.
For Purge Them All, you must mark all enemy types. It’s good to focus on this from the start. This includes all bosses and all other enemies. Aim the weapon and then press until the enemy lights up red. Remember to mark the boss in every mission, as these are unique to story missions. All other enemies are found throughout the game.
For The Art of Dismemberment, you need to perform 50 unique finishers. These are performed with , do this whenever possible. However, there are more than 50 unique finishers so if you work on this you can obtain it halfway into the campaign.
Step 2: Eternal War PvP Trophies [5-10h]
In the next step we will concentrate on the online mode ‘Eternal War’. Eternal War is a PvP mode that offers three different game modes: Seize Ground, Capture and Control, Annihilation. In PvP mode, we have to play 10 games in each mode. It doesn’t matter whether you win or lose them. We also have to win a match once with each class. The hardest trophy from the online mode is Merciless, where you need 5 kills in a row without dying. In total, we have to play around 30 Matches before we are finished with the PvP part of the trophies.
Step 3: Max Level for one Class, Melee Weapon, and Ranged Weapon [20-30 hours]
In the next step we have to reach the maximum level with any class. The highest level is 25. Each level also takes more XP. The higher we set the difficulty level for the operations, the more XP we get. Work your way up to ruthless level difficulty to get more XP. Although this game mode can be played solo, it is advisable not to play the mode with bots, as they do not have to take passive team skills with them on the missions. Take your time here to master the game. Find your personal favorite class that you get along with best and work your way up from one difficulty to the next. You can increase the difficulty level every 5 level-ups, but it’s best to first unlock all the perks and look for all armory data in the operations to level up the weapons. A quick way to get XP is to play Mission 6 “Ballistic Engine”. Here you can easily run through and ignore most of the opponents. The mission is doable in around 15 minutes. It is also easiest to find the Armory Data here because the map is small. Don’t forget to keep increasing the difficulty level, as you need higher rarity Armory Data to level up the weapons.
Step 4: Grind the 41,000 Kills [10 hours]
Lastly, you will need to grind the 41,000 kills. There is a very simple method to get 41,000 kills: Play any campaign mission that contains a horde of enemies. Throw grenades into the horde and then reload the checkpoint. The best way to farm the kills is to play Skyfire in the first mission up to the point where you encounter the first horde. Here you will be asked to enter an elevator. However, you can defeat an endless number of Tyranids here as long as you don’t enter the elevator. The 41,000 kills are the quickest here. It takes about 4 hours to get 20,000 kills and 8 hours to get 41,000 kills.

To perform 50 finishes, press when an enemy lights up to finish them. Here we get a unique kill animation. Finishers cannot be influenced and are somewhat random. It is advisable to play the operations on higher difficulty levels, as several enemies appear at the same time on higher difficulty levels. Mission 6 ‘Ballistic Engine’ can be completed on the Substantial difficulty level in under 15 minutes. Here you make approx. 500-600 kills per mission completion. It is recommended to play the primary weapon, the Melta Rifle, which kills smaller enemies quickly with one shot. The Melta Rifle can be played by the Tactical and Vanguard classes. The Heavy class has a double Melta Rifle as its starting weapon by default. | ||

Too shy to tell says
Sorry for bothering but i played a bit of the game (only the single player) my main qyrtion is can the pvp trophies be boosted I haven’t done pvp legit in a long time, call me weak but at least I’m feeling calmer and not stressing about performance?
xll says
nope you can’t
PhantomFear94 says
When you say it’s not advisable to do solo for Step 3, how much harder would it be? If the answer is “much” then is matchmaking sufficient alternative? I don’t have any friends who plan on playing this.
Stephen says
Does co op progress carry over to single player
Rafael says
Nice!! By looking at it looks more like a 4/10 maybe 5/10.
Why did you grade it 6/10? Because of the mp trophies? Just curious haha.
Thanks PP
Sean says
Probably the hardest difficulty trophy
DrModded says
Anyone up for helping with the merciless achievement please??? Thank you if you will
Baz says
How would that work? The game is matchmaking.
Robsoniqqq says
If I play without PS Plus and I get the trophies that I can, will everything be reset including the trophies and the story if I buy PS Plus? If so, the game has a 0/10 rating for this approach.
FutureSanik says
I can tell you haven’t played as of the date you wrote your comment. But let me tell you everything you need to know if you still haven’t played the game yet.
Trophies cannot be reset for any game in general. The Story and PVE can be fully played offline. Albeit the PVE progress would be fully reset. Like for example, if you got the trophies for maxing out a class and a weapon’s level, you can keep the trophies but it would be virtually impossible to carry over said progression once you go online. So if you wanted to do the “PVE” grind before PS Plus, you’d have to do it all offline as to not risk your PVE progress being reset. But if you didn’t earn certain trophies like Thunderous Impact, but made progress to it, you can continue where you left off and earn it then.
And if you wanted my more rude response then read below.
Otherwise, the Emperor protects.

Genuinely one of the most uninformed comments about a game’s trophies ever. How did you ever come up with the conclusion that all the trophies are locked by PS Plus? You can earn virtually all the trophies offline except for the PVP trophies. Can even keep all your story progress, including collectibles. The only caveat is that the PVE mode progress will not carry over, like class and weapon levels, mission progress, collectibles, etc.. But even then, you can continue earning trophies from where you left off since trophy progress, and in-game progression are fully seperated. I’ve even tested it and my trophy progress for a specific class carried over, despite being played initially offline. This could also apply for the collectibles as long as your offline save is intact. The only reason why this guide says it’s all online is because the game is best played online, since well… all the modes can be played online.
TLDR;
PVP trophies cannot be earned, but Story and PVE can be done offline. Progress trophies (X/41000 Enemies) can still be continued even after going online. Story progression and collectibles from both the Story and PVE modes are unaffected by going online, but PVE progression like weapon levels and completed operations are reset, unfortunately. But even then, why would you want to play by yourself the entire time in a PVE mode? Or even the Story mode? The game is literally made to be played with other people in all modes, but if you’re just going for the trophies only, go on and get everything except for the PVP trophies.

Guide is amazing! Got the 100% in under three days. Thank you Pyx.
Alex says
Holy hell that was fast !!! Did you play 50 hours under three days or is the plat shorter than expected ?
Deam says
Can you Really get the MAX Melee Weapon trophie in PVP Mode? i think it only works in Operations.
Wind says
“Unhand My Brother!”Has anyone told me how to unlock this achievement? Worms never seem to catch npc.
Thiv says
I found it’s best to play solo operations as Bulwark with the 1st ultimate ability- it will auto drop the shock grenade when the worm holding you depletes your armor. and that should be enough to peel it off xD
Gamer says
Thank you for guide, it is helped me lots. I got 100% Platinum earlier today. You best powerpyx.
PhantomFear94 says
How did you find operations mode? Most concerned for that mode as I don’t play these games often and don’t have friends playing this one.
CrimsonWing69 says
Does Merciless trophy count with assists?

Bunkerbudy says

Andrew Camarillo says
Yo I’m Done to Help with merciless if I can get help with it, thats probably the one I would need help with the most, my PSN is BigTimePlaya45 if anyone is down
Daniel Jones says
Do you still need help with it?
Keon little says
I’m go get this game soon thanks for the trophy/achievement guide
Syko710 says
Is there any fast/efficient way to grind the 100 Gun Strikes??
Bylmage says
Just spam a Heavy attack in a group of small enemies and you’ll get a gunstrike everytime.
Syko710 says
Just found out you can do most of the Class related trophies in Trials. For example you need 25p headshots with the Sniper class. Instead, do the first trial called “Cloak” I believe, and you start with an SMG. Go for all the headshots you can before you die, restart & keep going until it pops. Can also do it for the 100 Vanguard Gun Strikes and other ones
Bylmage says
You can do the 2nd Operation to farm the 41,000 kills. If you just never detonate the bomb the enemies will keep spawning. Play the mission as Heavy with Multi-melta. I was able to get about 20,000 kills i under 3 hours.
Richard Cranium says
What a waste of time
Andrew Camarillo says
I would need help with the Valour Crest Trophy since that would be the next hard trophy I want to get, I got help with the merciless trophy but also willing to help with Merciless. we get a Stacked team, I’m not lvl 25 yet but when I do reach it I’ll need help with Valour Crest trophy
xll says
Bespoke is not unlocking for me
Redcinder75 says
Don’t you need to run at least 2 Ruthless operations? You need to get the Ruthless”Gold” armory data to fully upgrade 1 melee weapon and 1 ranged weapon. Can you max out the weapons in PVP?
Bunkerbudy says
You can get 2 of those in one run if you want.
– Kill the boss of the run and get one.
– Find the one hidden on the map to get the second one.
AG2 says
Please update. Tactical Genius appears to be bugged.
Redcinder75 says
I concur, I am stuck at 85%. 1 of the guns is not registering for me.
Daniel Jones says
I’m looking for help on the Merciless trophy, hit me up any time at steel905uncanny. We could help each other.
Squebis Mebis says
Break of Dawn seems to be bugged, idk what triggers it, but it didn’t pop for me
Perhaps it has to do with the fact i did it in multiple sittings? I have no clue, but i’ve seen others report this
GameInGameOut says
The “immovable object” trophy can be achieved by using the L2 button to zoom in to move into the heavy stance not the triangle button. The triangle button uses your ability. You must keep the L2 button held in. You see the Body positioning change and the feet get “planted”.
James says
